Chapter 1 has been my 'GoTo' spot for a few years. It's challenging to find a solid barbershop. I've been to a number of spots in Oxnard and Ventura, but found myself returning to Chapter 1. I like their availability, and online booking through their website! It makes it easy to stay on point with my cuts. If your regular barber is not available, the team is always supportive of suggesting another barber at their location. It's no big deal or hard feelings. The environment is laid back, there is music playing, but it's not a club. You can chop it it and talk shop, but conversations are always respectable. If you walk into the space, someone will greet you and ask if you have an appointment or you're just walking in. Tony is the Troy Polamalu of the baber game, the Fabio of hair! If you can grow hair like that, you have to know a thing or two about it. It's always good vibes and conversation. He is a business owner that cares. Honestly Victor at Chapter 1 Barbershop gave my son a new confidence. He's had a tough year and I showed Vic the hairstyle my son wanted and he matched it exactly and better, I let him and my son talk and decide the style and my son wanted a lighting bolt and so my son got a lighting . Shop is very clean, brought my family as well and we each got cuts and mini facials. He was quick and courteous and really respectful and the shop is fun with the dart board and mini photo shoot after. My kids enjoyed going live and filming for him. If you are looking for a professional, knowledgeable and patient barber, Tony is your guy. During my haircut he went over how to achieve the style I want with a blow dryer and brush. He suggested products to use for my hair. He also feather razored my hair to tailor the cut to my goal of style. He did not take off a lot of hair like most barbers do but enough to make the cut look cleaned up and professional. The shop is extremely clean.
