Good barbers, but be sure you have an appointment. If you walk in without an appointment, you might be treated like a second-rate customer. I walked in without an appointment and was seen by one of the open barbers. I told the barber how i wanted my hair cut and she started to cut my hair. BUT 5mins into my cut, another customer walked in and the owner said "this is the one that called in, can you take him." The barber stopped mid haircut and said that I would have to get the rest of my haircut from another open barber. The other barber did a good job, but I have never - NEVER - in my life ever had to switch barbers mid-haircut. I have never felt that another customer was more important than me. I just stood there feeling stupid. I have been going to Royal Barber shop for nearly a year. Up until now I have been happy. They typically do a good job. BUT part of going to a barber shop is the experience. It's to feel good about yourself. That did not happen today. The individual barbers looked embarrassed and were apologetic. BUT the owner was not and did not say a single word to me. In short, if you come here, you'll get a good haircut, just be sure you call ahead or else you might be treated as a 2nd rate customer. You may not get the royal treatment as a walk in. read more

I'd like to start this review by saying that I have not been to a barber/stylist/salon in about 5-6 years. At some point I just gave up and didn't really bother with my hair anymore. The pandemic did help fuel that a bit but honestly, shaving it all off just seemed easier. So what made me go back? Last time I tried to cut it, I tried to be cute and use of the of the side clips to try and fade out my hair, big mistake! So, after ruining my hair, shaving it off to even it out, and then letting it grow again, I decided to give a barbershop a try. At first, I had no clue where to go, I looked at reviews and to be honest, everyone said the same thing about every place I saw. The reviews are surprisingly all good for most barbershops in the county, this just made it a lot harder. So, I decided to start close to the house and I called the first one on the list. The guy picked up and sounded half-baked and could hardly form any coherent sentences, so I decided to pass on that one. Next one on the list, no answer, no machine, nothing, line just kept ringing. At this point I had enough, I wanted this to be easier, especially for a person that was not sure about going to a salon in the first place. So I did what any sane person would do, turn to yelp for help. I used their services locator service and within a few minutes I had 4 shops messaging me their availability and prices. This made it a lot easier. I didn't really have a preference, I just decided on Royal based solely on my availability. Turns out, it was a lucky draw because this place turned out to be great. It was crazy, it was like the movie Barbershop, the kidding around, the different topics and even the atmosphere of the place turned out to be petty great. My barber was Fernando and I told him that it had been a long time since I have been to a place like this. Fernando was very professional and easygoing which made my whole experience very enjoyable. At the time of payment, I didn't realize that most of these places are cash-only and don't really take CC's however, Fernando was super cool about it and allowed me to pay with Venmo/Zelle which made it even easier. He didn't even grab his phone to verify I paid him, just trusted that I did. Haircut was only 35 bucks but, decided to give him a nice tip because the experience was better than I had anticipated. In closing, I just want to say that Royal Barber Shop is comprised of a bunch of great people that make the whole barbershop experience very enjoyable, and you bet I will be visiting them again the in near future. read more

My husband took my 14 year old in for a trim. My son asked the guy for a number 5 on the sides and 1/2 inch trim off the top. Longer hair is in style with his age group so he didn't want much cut off. The guy had his phone on his shoulder making phone calls and vaping while cutting my 14 year olds hair. He must of forgot he wanted a #5 on the sides and 1/2 inch trim off the top during his phone calls because he ended up with a very short haircut . My son is devastated and when my husband found out he was on his phone and vaping while cutting our sons hair he confronted barber right away. The guy ended up not charging for cut but now we have a very devastated teenager who hates his short hair . The cut looks exactly like a flat top , but very narrow flat top. It's horrible!! . I was just telling my sister how much I love this barbershop. You can usually find me at Royal Barber shop once a month. When I go I asked for Rymond. I'm pretty sure that he's the owner and has always done a great job on my hair. One of the things I appreciate most is how quickly I can get my haircut here. I've been coming here for awhile. Frankie is my go-to guy, but he's taking time off so I booked a cut with Rymon. I arrived a few minutes early. Rymon was sitting outside on the phone, so I went inand took a seat. I nodded at the other barbers, but they both quickly looked away. After over ten minutes of sitting there I got up and left. Nobody acknowledged me, and Rymon was still on the phone. I don't know if that was an important call, but when I booked the appointment I told the lady on the phone that it would be on my lunch break. This is ridiculous.
