I contacted SoCal Image to repair my two printers. They made an appointment to come by on Mon July 28,2025 between 10 am and noon. I cancelled all my plans to stay home and wait for them. The tech called me at 10am to say that he had been hit by another car and could come by 1pm to 2 pm. I waited for him cancelling by appointments for the afternoon. he called me again a 2 pm and said he had to cancel the appointment. He asked if I could reschedule the appointment For tues July 29,2025 at 10 am to noon. I again cancelled my appointments for Tues because I run my business and need working printers. He contacted he again Tues at 10 am to inform me that he could not make my appointment until 2pm to 3 pm. He contacted me at 3 pm to inform me that he could not make the appointment until after 5pm or 6pm. I told him to forget it and I would find another repair shop. Spencer was awesome! I got an Epson Inkjet WF-3450 secondhand that upon replacing the ink only printed blue. I called around and most either offered an expensive diagnostic or simply not repair it as the printer heads were probably clogged. Spencer recommended I do nothing, but I could try spraying the nozzles with windex. It got me thinking if the ink is dried in the nozzles, why not just drench with water? I did that and combined with the printer cleaning nozzle feature, voila! It went from printing nothing/blue only to fully functional $1000 printer! I called this company because my Epson printer was not printing properly. I was looking for someone to repair it. Spencer answered and immediately analyzed the problem over the phone. Lacking integrity. Shady. Wasted hours of my time. Tried to force a 5-star review after bait and switch. In summary, we paid for a repair for a printer that is not repaired. We were sold a printer and scope of work and he kept changing it like a shady salesperson. I wish it worked out and I dislike posting a negative review. I would rather get what was discussed. The printer we asked him to fix and we paid for didn't work right after he left. The printer he suggested we purchase for 4K was too much. He followed up with an email saying I'm a nice guy that he wants to work with and that 3.5K for delivery and install would work. I went to my client with the deal and they approved. He then changed the price back to 4K and asked me to not write a bad review, made it part of a new agreement he wanted to sign. Slimy. Sad. When we had issues with our printer, Spencer showed up immediately. Their service was fast and friendly. We were getting good service for about two months, and then it all went downhill. When one of the non-HP-brand toners supplied to us broke, I requested a toner replacement and also a back-up in case it happened again. In response, was an unrelated and emotional/angry email from him saying that their cartridges are the best in the business. Then he asked why I hadn't sent any referrals. The worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company. Per the other reviews and our experience this company will do exactly that- Take your money and never do the job. The customer service girl they have is extremely rude and not helpful at all. The first couple of visits we had were from Spencer in which he had diagnosed that the printer needed to be taken apart and looked at as we are going through our Magenta every month however it should be lasting us more than 6-8 months Given the type of printer we have. After the first 2 visits he fixed a couple of minor things but not even close to what we had originally requested and discussed. After the 2nd visit there was no word from spencer and they sent someone else who had no idea what the issue was and re diagnosed and basically fiddled around with the printer - HUGE waste of time. Not only do they come out to your location and address the issues with your machine, but they also don't try to sell you things you don't need unlike other places I tried to call and get a quote from. I have a Canon Image class MF8380cdw, occasionally I would print my address and name on small envelopes to send out to my customers. My printer started jamming after a while and I could not figure out what the problem was, I called SoCal Image Techs, the rep that took my call, i think she said her name was Nikki, was very helpful and professional. She took down all my information and said she would get back to me. 15 mins later she calls back, says she's having her tech Spencer come out that same day!! GREAT!!! Spencer came by asked what was wrong, I told him my situation and instantly he had a solution. Turns out the adhesive seal was getting stuck on my rollers, due to the heat of the machine (I'm no tech savvy, how could I have known that?) Anyways, Spencer advised me he would order the parts and have them delivered to my place and he would come out here again and install them. Sure enough, I received the parts in no time and he was here the same day to install them. Now at the time I'm thinking I'm going to end up with a big bill to pay up, not at all. I only paid $125.00 for them coming out to check out my machine, labor and parts. Had no problems with their service or receiving an invoice.
