Mo said to my husband's face and wrote that he doesn't care if we saved up and were ready to put down $10,000.

Two stars solely because Mark was kind. Everything else was a gigantic headache and I will never step foot in that rundown building ever again. We traveled 300 miles to buy a truck from So Cal Motors. We had $10,000 saved up that we were going to put down. We told them exactly where we need the payment to be before we drove down and they said they could make that work... None of it mattered. Moe literally said AND WROTE that he didn't care if we had $10,000 to put down on the truck. It meant as much to him if we didn't put down anything at all. He didn't care if we took the truck, he could sit on it. I don't understand how this business has been running for 12 years if the customer service from the manager is that bad. They tell you a bunch of pretty lies just to get you in the door and then make you feel like garbage.

Stay away. This is the definition of hole in the wall dealer. Customer service sucks. Although I was swayed to purchase a car here because I really liked it. They swore up and down that the car was running good and it wasnt. 3 days later the car would stall out I took it back and asked then if they could repair it. And so they did repair the car. A few days go by and I go pick my car up 3 days later I'm driving it and it stalls barely made it to my house with power loss turbo area was smoking like crazy so I ended up taking it to Subaru in San bernadino. They told me none of the repairs were professional they used other car parts from other manufacturers to repair them and the AWD in the car wasnt working cause a filter was clogged in the drivetrain. I end up taking it back with a long list of proper repairs that need to be done in order for the car to run ok at the very least. And they REFUSED to take the car that almost blew up in my drive way. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DUMP

If you see this sheet come out (like at SCM), you are about to lose at life badly. Leave & read articles in google about car buying.

Shady and unethical, C- unaccredited by CA Better Business Bureau. https://www.bbb.org/central-california-inland-empire/business-reviews/auto-dealers-used-cars/so-cal-motors-in-montclair-ca-100110124 I caught them in so many lies. I know you probably love the car they have, don't do it. You will get screwed unless you are very good at car buying and finance, they tried every dirty trick in the book. Most of the positive reviews are people who don't understand car finances. Saturday I found the precise car I want. I called and asked if they do their own inspections, they do! (I'll come back to this). I locked in the online price through a Trucar dealership network. I showed up onsite on Sunday, inspected the car, and test drove it. The associate that worked with me was cool enough. We almost spun out in a corner, I thought it was my poor clutch work. I park, look at the back, the rear tires on the car are DONE. The left tire had no tread at all! This is a rear wheel drive car with 435HP/400TQ with no tread. Completely unsafe to drive. No qualified mechanic would approve this car out of fear of being legally liable. When I finished the test drive the "oil replacement overdue" warning came up in the dash (2016 Ford Mustang with SYNC). When I asked they told me their mechanic does a multi-point inspection including tire check and oil change. SERIOUSLY, you think I'm talking about a sitcom. Unfortunately for the next buyer, they are going to reset that warning. I left Sunday, and that evening they changed the price upwards by $1300. I call today to finish the deal, they tell me my price was a "Easter weekend special". So I remind them that they are a Certified USAA/Trucar dealer and I have a locked price. They backpeddle and honor it. I also advise them that if my deal falls through, they need to replace the tires on the Mustang because it is unsafe. The girl says "oh, you don't want any of the options, okay we will take those wheels off". These are stock upgraded wheels. They have no idea what is going on. They "go back to work with their manager", make me late to the gym, and I get a text that "there was a deposit put on this car" and they'll call me back if it falls through. I told them to never call me again. And to be honest I should have made the decision earlier, the red flags were there. None of the BS they told me along the way matched the dates on the free CarFax report I ran either.

I purchased a 2022 Gray Mustang GT with 27k miles in July of 2026. When I arrived with pre-approved financing from my credit union, Westin started pressuring me to finance through their preferred lender instead before I even had a chance to look the car over. He told me I wouldn't be able to drive the car home that day if I went with my own financing because of DMV hoops. Understandable, as I am aware this is a tactic dealers use to push a sale. However, it made me feel an elevated level of pressure. I was in love with the car and willing to refinance after the purchase, but I will deduct half a star for this. I will deduct another half for this: I brought a friend who is a professional mechanic with Toyota to check the car out. Before the test drive, he alerted me to a leaking rear differential and low motor oil levels. During the drive, we noticed the rear-view camera wasn't working and a tire pressure monitor warning was lit. When asked about these issues, Shane told us the camera had an active recall and that the car had just been serviced (including a rebuilt transmission) with Puente Hills Ford, but they didn't have the parts to fix the camera and there was nothing to worry about with regards to the rear differential and low motor oil. My friend knows what he knows, and I found it odd that a vehicle would have low, dirty motor oil right after a major dealership service. The test drive itself sold me. A 5.0 Mustang has long been my dream car, and the after-market Borla exhaust (never mentioned online or during calls) was a sound I could never get tired of. My friend strongly advised me to take the car to a dealer to check the issues while it was still under warranty. Because it was, I went ahead with the purchase. The financing with their lender was quick and easy, done in about 45 minutes. Shane even threw in 300 bucks in cash to get the tire pressure monitors replaced (which I discovered later at Ford would cost about $700). I used his cash towards the down payment. There was an active recall for the rear view camera, which settled me on that issue, and overall the experience at Kutsch was smooth. I understand they are trying to sell cars, but I would appreciate more transparency. If you are not lucky enough to have a pro mechanic with you, or purchase a car that is out of warranty, you might get fleeced. This is true for any used car dealership. After purchasing the car I took it to my local Ford dealer, Ford of Montebello, for a diagnostic check. When the tech opened the hood he right away told me the car smelled like it was burning oil, explaining the low levels. The car spent 2 weeks at the dealer. The rear differential was indeed leaking fluid and had to be serviced, the engine had a bad front crankshaft seal that was leaking oil, and the transmission was actually fine and working like new. The recalls were taken care of, and I decided to ignore the tire pressure monitor warning since it is nothing major. All of this work would have cost about 7K if the car was out of warranty. I didn't pay a dime, but I did lose the car for 2 weeks. I also refinanced their 8.1% rate, no extended warranty or GAP, for my 5.3% rate w/GAP and extended warranty, and lowered my overall interest by about 4k. At the end of it all, I am really happy with my purchase and the overall ease with the process. There were no hidden fees or markups, which I did expect because of the Borla exhaust, but nope, none of that. The price advertised was the price I payed. No negative feelings towards Kutsch, Shane, or Westin, and I thank them both for their business, but you have to be careful. These dudes are overall friendly, and they do have a great selection of performance and luxury vehicles on their lot if you want something with lots of horsepower. I am enjoying the car, getting about a million smiles per gallon!

BUYERS BEWARE - MULTIPLE PROBLEMS, SAFETY CONCERNS AND NOW SILVERROCK DOESN'T WANT TO COVER THE…read moreREPAIRS I wish I had paid closer attention to the reviews for this DriveTime location before purchasing my vehicle. After going through my own experience and then reading reviews from other customers, I am extremely concerned by how similar some of their reported experiences are to mine. I purchased a 2018 Nissan Sentra from DriveTime in Montclair on August 11, 2026. Shortly after purchasing it, I began reporting multiple problems, including CVT/drivability and acceleration concerns, A/C problems, a malfunctioning horn, speaker/radio problems, and Bluetooth issues. I followed DriveTime/SilverRock's repair process and took the vehicle to AAMCO in Rancho Cucamonga. AAMCO told me there was nothing wrong with the transmission and performed work on the A/C, but several problems remained unresolved. I then took the vehicle to a Nissan dealership, and Nissan has advised me that multiple problems still need to be corrected. Nissan identified a computer/software update associated with the CVT system that AAMCO had not identified. Nissan also advised me that the A/C compressor AAMCO installed was a used unit and identified a differential fluid leak. I also subsequently discovered that the vehicle had an open manufacturer safety recall before I purchased it, and I understand DriveTime was aware of the open recall before the sale. Now, after all of this, SilverRock is stating that it does not want to cover the remaining repairs. What makes my experience even more troubling is reading other reviews for this same Montclair location. One reviewer reported purchasing a vehicle and experiencing problems the same day. Another described mechanical problems within 30 days, repeated repairs and eventually an engine replacement. Another reviewer described discovering brake, motor-mount, oil-leak and other problems shortly after purchasing a vehicle and then having SilverRock deny some repairs as wear and tear. Those are other customers' allegations and experiences, not mine, but after what I have personally experienced, I wish I had read these reviews before buying my vehicle. In my case, I reported my problems, followed the warranty process, presented the vehicle for repairs while it was still within the warranty mileage, and gave DriveTime and SilverRock an opportunity to correct the vehicle. The problems still have not been completely resolved. This isn't a situation where I bought a used car and months or years later something broke. I began dealing with problems shortly after the purchase and have been trying to get them properly addressed ever since. At this point, I do not want another repair attempt. I want DriveTime to take the vehicle back. I have formally demanded that DriveTime buy back the vehicle, return my $1,800 down payment, reimburse the monthly payments I have made to the extent recoverable, and resolve the remaining financing obligation as part of taking the vehicle back. I have given DriveTime until Friday, September 25, 2026 to provide an acceptable written buyback resolution. If they refuse to resolve the matter, I intend to file a lawsuit and present my documentation to the court. I have kept records of my communications, repair attempts, warranty issues, payments, Nissan's findings, recall information and the problems I have experienced with this vehicle. My advice to anyone considering buying from this DriveTime location: read the reviews first. Have the vehicle independently inspected before purchasing it. Check the VIN for open recalls yourself. Do not assume that every problem discovered shortly after purchase will necessarily be covered by SilverRock. Get everything in writing. I hope DriveTime resolves this before litigation becomes necessary. If DriveTime takes the vehicle back and resolves this appropriately, I will update this review with the outcome.
