Learn from my mistake go else where. I have had nothing but car problems since I bought my car from variety auto sales. First off, I signed the paperwork to buy the car 5 times. Each time the excuse from Paul was the dates were wrong. Yes 5 times is a bit much but you see we knew the owner so we kept resigning the paperwork. Now let me tell you all the issues this vehicle has, and I say has because as I write this review (11/19/2018) 3 months after I bought this car it's back in the shop being repaired by someone else. I gave up on this dealership and their mechanic Junior. I drove the vehicle off the lot on August 9th, my paperwork actually says I purchased the vehicle on August 21, 2018. I have proof and another set of papers with the 8/9 date. On August 13th the engine light came on. The mechanic said it's nothing and reset the light. On August 23rd the car was leaking oil and was unable to be fixed because they were waiting for the part. On August 30th the dealership was still asking for me to send over more paperwork. They told us to bring the car in on Sept 7th to repair the oil leak because they had been waiting for a part. When I got there at a quarter to six the part wasn't there. They didn't even call to tell me not to come, I got there and it was like oh we don't have the part yet. On Sept 12th they "repaired" the leak. On sept 14th the car wouldn't start the cables were loose on the battery, I was told to tighten them. On Sept. 30th we were left stranded in Altadena, had to call AAA, to have the car towed, again leaking oil like a waterfall. On October 1st towed the car to the dealership. I received a call saying it was "fixed". I picked up the car and a block away the engine was sounding funny and smoking. Took it back to the dealership and the belt they had "fixed" wasn't on right. I'd like to make a note and say at this point I haven't even made my first payment. All this back and forth and my first payment isn't even due yet. On Oct 5th the check engine light came on again, and the car was still leaking oil. Oct 30th the car died in reverse. On Halloween we decided to take it to jiffy lube and guess what the car was still leaking oil and other things. We took the car back to the dealership on nov. 5th they kept it until the 7th ( I rented a car) they promised a rental had to get my own was told I'd be reimbursement never got it. They supposedly "fixed" the leak. When we picked up the car on the way home the brake light, vdc off light and slip light came on. I called the mechanic and he said " ya they came on when I test drove it" so they came on and they didn't check anything regarding a new issue that occurred while at the dealership . Now I have my car and the brakes are very loose. I know something isn't right. I put 3 dot brake fluid in and the lights on the dash turn off. Nov. 16th lights are still on brakes are still loose. I take the car to have the breaks checked. Now they can't be fixed because the dealership has the wheel lock, they never gave it to us. So my husband goes to the dealership to get the lock on Nov. 16th, and the mechanic Junior says you don't need breaks they are thick 70%. Monday Nov. 19th. I take the car to have the breaks done. I watch this mechanic put new brakes on my car. Only the front brakes. They finish and my brakes are still loose something isn't right. They put brake fluid and notice it takes the whole bottle and we notice a leak on the rear passenger side. The brake line is detached. Now mind you this mechanic never went near my rear tires or breaks. Variety Auto Sales and the mechanic they employ had me driving around in and unsafe vehicle knowing the brake light was on. Letting me drive off the lot in a death trap with a detached brake line. Talk about gross negligence letting me drive off the lot knowing the car wasn't 100% repaired. Regardless of warranty the problem started at their dealership. While repairing another problem they caused a problem that could have harmed me,my family and innocent drivers on the rode with me. On Nov. 19th I spoke with Junior in person at the dealership and while filming he stated he told the Owner Sam that the brake light was on and Sam instructed Junior to only fix the leak. However it was something Junior had caused. Today on Nov 20th I got my car back from the shop that repaired the brake line, my lights on the dashboard are off, however I'm not comfortable driving this vehicle, what other issues does this car have that Variety Auto Sales didn't disclose. This is supposed to be a family car but I don't want my family in it. Lastly, I've known the family that owns this dealership for 12 years. If this is the vehicle they put me a "family friend" in, I'm afraid to see what type of vehicle they'd put you a random stranger in. For your families safety do not purchase any vehicle from variety Auto Sales. Keep your family safe go somewhere else read more

I just want everyone to know that I have been going to court for a car I bought from Variety Auto for 2 years now I was sold the biggest lemon from them they alter their car fax papers the car I had bought was in a major accident an inspector said it was unsafe Variety Auto of course denied it. I was told they had 13 cases against them. I am telling you to warn you as hard-working people who are barely making it like myself who put every dollar into that car for repairs I kept falling behind on the payments the bank the use to finance me would not give me a divertissement to help me out as far as the payments I believe they were in on the scam because they were both in court they were going after the bank also for everything which is Tustin community Bank and now because I had so many repairs now it's Repoed and has ruined my credit. I can't believe that these people like this get away with it. Be very aware they are major scam artist. I am a honest woman single mom struggling but making it. This had really hurt me I just wanted to get the word out! And I was forced to mark a star just to post this which is unfair I did it just to make sure I get the warning out. A lawyer approached me by mail and made me aware of the car being unsafe and had ordered the inspection and told me about all 13 cases against them! I purchased a GMC Sierra at Variety Auto Sales, the truck had 30 days warranty and it had minor details that needed to be fixed. I was asked to write down everything that was wrong with it and they sure fixed everything as promised. Junior, the mechanic was great. First of all, my car is NOT a lemon!! I have a 2010 Hyundai Accent. I financed the car in September of 2013. The engine runs very well and it has not given me any problems at all. Second, they work with you! I have bad credit but they offered me In-House Financing. And anytime I am running behind on my payments, I can call them and make arrangements. Paul is very unhelpful, and don't even think about letting him call you back in 10 minutes! It won't happen, and you won't get a call back, period. Very lazy, inexperienced, and a downright pain to work with. Augustine is your best bet but he's not very reliable either, especially if you want it done in a decent amount of time. The Mechanic junior doesn't know how to manage his time at all and he "makes his own schedule" according to the children at Variety Auto Sales. He's never there and surprisingly, he doesn't really fix things he just tells you what's wrong and they'll sell you another car. A complete waste of time. We purchased two cars and they were both lemons and very broken down and junky. I wouldn't recommend these con artists to my worst enemy, or anyone else looking for a car. You'd have a better chance buying from a private seller or a neighbor, friend, or even a 4 year old as a matter of fact. THIS PLACE SELLS LEMONS! Bought an '06 Mazda that had a transmission problem the very NEXT DAY, I didn't get my car back for 20+ days and was charged the payment for that month! After being "fixed" by their cheap auto shop they took it to.. 1 day went by and boom the transmission went out again. ALSO THEY SOLD ME A CAR WORTH $5,500 on KBB for $12,000 (it was my first buy and I had no help, HUGE LEARNING CURVE) When I called in after a few weeks of buying the car asking to just come in and choose another car from their lot since this one has tons and tons of problems that I was never told about, the ignorant manager who cares only about the sale not the customer said it was impossible.. Now I was so furious that I was sold a lemon... which there is a law about selling people lemons and I was super close to creating a lawsuit for these clowns, I was in the hole 9 grand and had negative equity trying to trade in the P.O.S. variety auto sales car into a dealership. This place is AMAZING! The people there are all so nice and helpful. I dont know what "luv p." is talking about bevause the salesmen were very helpful. I met Steven but he is the FINANCE GUY which means he doesnt work for them. He works for a finance company that helps finance car buyers. Anyways, i bought all of my kids cars from here and also mine and my wifes and i have 2 more kids growing up and when they can drive i am for sure going here to get them.
