Because of this policy and the requirement to come in‑person just to discuss pricing, I decided this was not the right dealership for my needs. They sent me to the most disgusting shady shop for a bandaid solution. The problem kept persisting and they kept insisting I keep brining the car in as if I don't have a job. Leslie called me within two hours of dropping my car off to let me know the diagnostic was complete. She explained that they were waiting for my warranty company to approve the claim and that they were already ordering the necessary parts. My biggest concern was how long the parts would take because of my upcoming work trip. Then, around 4:30 p.m., Leslie called me again to let me know the warranty had approved the claim, the parts had arrived, and they had already installed everything! My car was ready for pickup that same day. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly everything was handled. The customer service, technicians, and entire staff were incredible. They worked so efficiently and did an amazing job. I cannot thank Leslie enough for going the extra mile, rushing the process, and keeping me informed every step of the way. Well, it has been almost 90 days, and they offered to buy the truck back because they weren't able to get the title, and my insurance company was getting ancy because of California law.. My husband and I called a few times during this waiting period and finally, in September, we just showed up in person to CarMax (while planning his mother's funeral). Guess what! The day we showed up is the day the main office got the duplicate title (huh)! We test drove a few cars anyway, but we left with our truck and a promise it will be registered with the DMV immediately. Fingers crossed... UPDATE: After we left CarMax on Thursday, we got a call on Friday asking us to bring the truck back in because they need to smog it and take it to be weighed to register it. Sigh. So we are back again waiting in the waiting room to get our truck back. They compensated us for gas ($33), but really? So, my advice is to make sure they have your correct address in case they "try to get in touch with you" (there is more than one place for it, apparently), and make sure they have already received the title before you buy the vehicle.
