My daughter had an intro class and ended up being the only girl in a class of 18 boys. She shut down and wasn't having a great experience. Coach Jordan worked beside her and even took her by the hand to help her feel at ease. As a mom, it's hard to see your child alone and not with all the other kids but Jordan made sure my girl was never alone. He never stopped talking to her and I am so grateful for his kindness. She doesn't talk about soccer but she does talk about "her coach" and that small act of kindness made a positive impact on her. Thank you! 5 stars because kindness does matter! read more

This program was offered at my children's school. It was run by teenagers and beyond disorganized. The last straw was when it looked like it was going to rain. I had a committee meeting at the school in the middle of their class. I asked the young lady if they would be moving inside if it started to rain. She said they would be moving into the cafeteria. I got a text message (including a photo of my soaking wet children) from my wife indicating she picked them up in the middle of their class and pulled them out of the freezing rain. Pouring rain! They were still having the children play outside! I wasted way too much money on enrollment and monthly fees for 3 classes! read more

We recently started Soccer Buddies at the Colorado Springs location. Our daughter is in the Koalas: 15 months - 3 years (Parent/Child) class and looks forward to it every week. The coaches are patient, organized and fun! I appreciate they let you make up a class if you miss for any reason. They are responsive to emails and the staff who work at the desk can answer any question. read more

We started the Kolas class (under 3) with coach Mya. My son is very shy. (very) after our 3rd class he has opened up so much and yells for joy as we get closer to the facility yelling "yay soccer buddies" so much as well each time they have a water break my son questions "no more soccer?" No son just a water break. Coach Mya is great! Makes each class fun and different each week. We have really enjoyed taking him. We were trying our best to find something until he turned 3. I love watching him develop his skills and slowly open up. I learned about this through Groupon. And have decided to continue monthly tuition at $75. They offer a free class. I would encourage trying it out and seeing if it works for you. read more

I came to the Play It Now location while in town visiting family. This location is indoors which is great for those bad weather days. It did get a little loud and distracting when the volleyball practice started on the other side of the gym,but the more sports that kids play, the better. The Soccer Buddies coaches were awesome! I am a teacher and I give these coaches great praise for their patience, motivation, and sense of humor while working with these little soccer pros. This Saturday session was an hour long with drills and skills working towards actually playing soccer at a later stage. I liked how the area was divided by age groups for safety and levels of skill and progress. read more

Soccer Buddies We signed up for Soccer Buddies when our son was 18 months, simply hoping for some sort of organized play that he would have fun going to. I'm happy to say we walk away from each week with so much more than we were expecting. Aside from the fun, Sully has learned way more side skills than we ever could have anticipated. Our shy boy now waves at strangers at restaurants, saying, "Hi, I'm Sully," because he learned it at Soccer Buddies. He went from spending about 10 focused minutes on the field to enjoying and participating the whole time. He has learned to jump, kick the ball, and run fast (and slow.. and stop...and dance - thank you, Red Light, Green Light!). He pays attention to what the other kids are doing and has learned more of what it means to be apart of a group and to do things as a group - something I was worried we would not be able to give him safely during these crazy pandemic times. They have managed to make the whole experience feel so safe, with plenty of hand sanitizer and fresh outdoor air to go around. It takes a lot of energy and a lot of joy to lead and engage a group of toddlers, but his coaches always impress us with their flexibility, patience, and fun! They are clearly committed to the big picture of helping these rug rats learn to work together, move around, and have fun while they learn some skills along the way. They lace so many different activities into each week that when Sully isn't as eager to participate, it doesn't usually last long. We take our ten year old to soccer buddies in Castle Rock at the MAC. It's a great great program. The coaches are friendly, and good with the kids. There is a wide variety of age groups and they are divided up into respective age groups. Our daughter is always saying how much fun she has. Good for soccer skill building and for social skills. She has made really good progress since starting. They have a variety of times and days. I haven't noticed any one in particular that is overly crowded. She'll probably keep going until she can't anymore (12). We are happy we found this place. read more

We discovered Soccer Buddies through a work acquaintance and signed up our child for a summer session, which she enjoyed immensely. The coaches are encouraging and supportive, and keep it fun. They'd have a "game" toward the end of each lesson/practice, but it was always low-key, as these are little kids. No one bothered keeping score, and kids were able to learn, improve and participate without competitive pressure. (Time for that later in life.) We then discovered Soccer Buddies' indoor location, which we wish we'd known about from the beginning: climate-controlled, out of the sun/weather, restrooms, comfortable seating. The coaches obviously go through a fair amount of training, as we often see trainee coaches paired with experienced coaches. So far, we've not encountered any horrifying "sports parents." read more

We started soccer buddies when my oldest was very little. He had coach Emma, and she was amazing. Energetic, Engaging, Encouraging, and so fun! She no longer works there, and so we had to transition to another coach, which was a disappointing experience compared. So we put it on hold until about a year later. We started indoor and had great coaches, Hunter and Steve, but were then very disappointed with the same coach once we transitioned outdoors. There are so many "No"'s being said along with "what are you doing" "it shouldn't be that hard to chase me around with a ball". The dialogue with this particular coach is condescending and the pace is slow. It just isn't a good fit for 3-4 year olds...so, soccer buddies is super awesome as long as you get a great coach, but after going on three years of being involved, it's rare to have that happen. read more

I have been watching my grand kids play here for a while and have been impressed with the youth coaches overall however, last night, coach Marco really stood out. He was the coach for the 8/9 year olds. His enthusiasm was contagious. He made it fun and kept all kids engaged. I was a youth coach and rev my self for many years and can be very critical when it comes to coaching especially the younger kids but this young man was very impressive. During a scrimmage he encouraged passing and would make sure the kids were spread out by joining in. So much energy and patience! I hope he ll be the coach for this group going forward, he will be able to keep them interested in playing soccer while giving them a solid foundation to build on. read more

My son started going to the Koalas class (under age 3) led primarily by Coach Tom at the South Suburban location. He loves it! Tom and the other coaches are fantastic with the kids and happily encourage them throughout the session. My son stays engaged (mostly!) and really enjoys the activities, which vary a bit from one week to the next. It's a great way to let him socialize during COVID, the classes are small enough that parents have space to play with the kids and not worry excessively about how to maintain social distancing, and all the running results in a good, long nap in the afternoon. Soccer Buddies is amazing! We have enrolled 6 of our kids periodically over the last couple of years. We have been so impressed with the coaching staff and the program in general. We love the positive environment and that the program incorporates the whole child, working on various targeted developmental milestones. As a mom of a lot of kiddos, it is extra convenient that I can take all of the kids and they play at the same time and place (on a split field determined by age). Unbelievable! I took my toddler thinking it was glorified day care. But the coaches were so much more than that. We enrolled my daughter in Soccer Buddies when she was about 3. The coaches are all very child-friendly and do a good job providing instruction and (for the most part) keeping the kids on track. She is now five and still really enjoys attending her class. They do a wide variety of drills to help the kids learn different skills. There are a few things I don't really like: at her age, they don't tend to do a lot of actual game playing, it's mainly drills. I would like to see a little more of them trying to play a small game, but maybe at this age it's too much like herding cats and would just not be a worthwhile venture. They also don't have very many options for outdoor play. The Soccer Buddies website has classes in different locations throughout town, but the location at Play it Now sports and Let's Play Sports are both inside. Play it Now gets EXTREMELY hot during summer lessons and they only have a few doors in the gym that can be opened to let in some air.. I haven't yet had my daughter enrolled at the East location long enough to see if it is climate controlled in the summer. But the kids all seem to enjoy themselves one way or another. read more
