I took a break from indoor soccer while playing for outdoor league and I didn't come back to NetSports until this winter (Winter 2010). The facilities are still as I remember them -- no big changes after the change in ownership. They implemented a new online system for handling registration, payment, scheduling and team management that I think works quite well. The captain basically registers the team with a deposit and each player can then register and pay their share until the full team balance is paid in full. As a former organizer of a team, I was really pleased with the new system. They have different fields/rinks for different sports. I think soccer and volleyball are the most popular (these are what I typically see when I am there to play soccer). The two indoor turf fields are quite spacious. There's plenty of room to run around and it is very easy to tire yourself (that's a good thing). The referees are very professional and courteous. They do a good job keeping the games on schedule. If you like to play volleyball or indoor soccer, then you'll like this place. Find the division that matches your skill level. Try to get on a "house" team or maybe ask the staff to try to place you on a team that is looking for players. If you're a female or like to play in goal then your chances of getting on a team are quite good. If you know some players that want to join a team, then maybe start your own. Oh, this place is MUCH better than XL Soccer World in Raleigh. When you have a game at NetSports you will know that the fields will always be the same size -- not so at XL Soccer World. As a team manager, I can tell you that the staff at XL Soccer World were very unfriendly and difficult to communicate with. Staff at NetSports have always been friendly -- they do a good job behind-the-scenes and in-person. This place makes me happy -- especially during the winter when I can't play outdoors.

Our son reported that kids were left to watch unsupervised YouTube Shorts for long periods, some of which included very disturbing content. More alarmingly, the pickup process is a major security risk. The front desk staff seemed completely indifferent to the children gathered in the corner, and there appeared to be no protocol to prevent a child from leaving with a stranger. If you are looking for a camp that prioritizes child safety and active engagement, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.

On the other side of the concession stand, to the left of the entrance is an open rink (could be used for basketball, hockey or the like), where some very close friends of mine and I played rounds of "pro" dodgeball (in the style of pro-dodgeball) until we got to the tournament round and the best team won! Yes, that was the team I played on, mind you, I had about 4 pretty tough guys playing with the two of us ladies that were on the team. I managed to "dodge, dip, duck, dive & dodge" the ball as the pre-training from the movie "Dodgeball" emphasizes. It was a fun time with a great group of people, if you're so brave as schedule yourselves in there and play dodgeball or anything in a team atmosphere, go for it, its an awesome place.

There's ample parking, a snack shack, and courts to the right and left. When I've attended, pretty much every court is in play -- soccer, hockey, and volleyball. You can register a team for a fee and they organize the match-ups for a season's worth of games (a few months). But be warned that some of their games can be scheduled as late as 11pm.

The main building houses Invisalign Arena that has the nice practice ice rinks facility for the Carolina Hurricanes including its own cafe. Very nice sports center! The Deets: I was made aware through Yelp actually that there was a practice arena for the Carolina Hurricanes in our lil ol' town of Morrisville (complete with its own cafe, another review to come) so I ventured out to see it. The Wake Competition Center is a big sports campus including the Invisalign Arena that houses the ice rinks and cafe, as well as other centers for gymnastics and volleyball that I saw and large fields for outside sports (see their webpage for details on all aspects of this multi-sport complex). Those outside sports fields were packed with people when I went in, as it is mid soccer season. The sports fields were very well kept from what I saw, very nice. I ventured inside Invisalign Arena and saw the ice rinks (one Red and one Black, for the Hurricane team colors). There was a bit of rink action going on while I was there, and not only can you sit in the stands to watch but also there are seats with tables lining the rink like a work area (see pic). This place is a pretty impressive ice sports rink facility and the arena was as packed inside here as the outside fields were, this is a bustling place! There appears to be ample parking but again it was near capacity when I visited on the weekend. I think this sports complex is pretty nice and has a lot to offer for an active sports area like the NC Triangle, I dig it!

Nope, we've just received word that lightening is still within three miles of the stadium; please exit the bleachers!). The game that should have begun at 7pm was delayed till 8:30. But then we played ball! (Is that slogan only used with baseball?) It was a vs Miami game and I was pretty impressed by the speed and skill demonstrated by both teams. With a dad who still plays the sport at age 54 and a brother who left the womb in cleats, I've seen my fair share of games. Though I ended up leaving at halftime (I'd spent 4 hours at the field!), I would have no trouble watching a full game here and not getting bored. I might leave a separate review for the facility; but for those reading this one, note that parking is $5; beers (mostly bud and miller) are $4. There are individual seats on the bleachers that cradle your bum. And there's a grill offering cheesy nachos and basic ballpark food.

When they have soccer its a chore to find parking but eventually you do. He loves the park. Write a great review and make it sound like me. Every time my grandson comes to stay with me, one thing is guaranteed we're going to this park. It's become our spot, and honestly, it never disappoints. The playground is perfect for kids. There are plenty of slides, swings, and even a sand area, which my grandson absolutely loves. He could spend hours there and still not be ready to leave. It's one of those places where you can just let them play, explore, and be kids without overthinking it. Now, I will say when there are soccer games going on, parking can be a bit of a challenge. You might have to circle around a little and be patient, but you'll find a spot eventually. And once you do, it's completely worth it. Overall, this park is a win for us every time. My grandson loves it, and seeing how excited he gets to go back? That alone makes it a 5-star place in my book.
