They have completely renovated it and it's no longer called Fetzer Field. For the time being it…read moregoes by the generic Soccer and Lacrosse stadium. They got rid of the track and build the stands up closer to the field, you're much closer to the action now and can sit on both sides, along with one endline -- in the old Fetzer, you could only sit on one side. There are individual stadium seats but they are not comfortable, the seatbacks push your back up too far. UNC's soccer and lacrosse teams (both men's and women's) are usually ranked, so you'll see good quality play here. They also have concessions and restrooms. If it's during early fall or late spring, it could get hot and sunny. Bring some sunscreen on those days.

Drowning out parents' chants of support for their kids? Childish. UNC should be ashamed to allow their supporters to drown out the sounds of proud chants and call-outs for the visiting kids, and then follow it up with mocking the visiting team's players. Mocking student athletes sweating their heart and soul out on the field? What the hell kind of parent does that? UNC parents do. At least one UNC fan sitting on our side yelled out "show some class!" One. We would yell over to the UNC parents, "what did you just say?" and they'd turn into crickets. We never said a negative thing about a UNC player and never tried to reciprocate their behavior. I was tempted to video them to post on social media but, again, don't go low, go high. They were disgusting cowardly bullies. Even we visitors would acknowledge a good score by UNC because an athlete made an awesome move and we support and honor ALL athletes. Granted it wasn't exuberant, but a polite clap and "wow, great score, we still got this, though!" Shame on you, UNC, and the parents who demean others. You ruined a spirited and fun event with rude, arrogant and selfish actions. No wonder the world laughs at this "me me me" school. Nuts don't fall far from the tree.

This place has lots of great things that runners need, desire, and dream of having. It's located on the corner of a busy shopping complex so parking can be a challenge at times. There is a lot to see when you first walk in to the store. They have a shoe wall that is full of goodies. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist with any questions, needs, and concerns. The only thing I hate to report is that I feel they are fairly expensive. I understand they're running shoes cost more than average walking shoes but the prices are kind of steep, in my opinion. I find that the price you would pay for something as small as a water bottle jack it could cost you a little over $100. Again I'm sure their prices are probably right in line with the industry but it was a little too much for my budget. When you stop by be sure to visit their community wall. They feature all of the areas races.

When I started working in RTP I started playing soccer at this facility (when it was called…read moreCarolina Sportsplex). I took a break from indoor soccer while playing for outdoor league and I didn't come back to NetSports until this winter (Winter 2010). The facilities are still as I remember them -- no big changes after the change in ownership. They implemented a new online system for handling registration, payment, scheduling and team management that I think works quite well. The captain basically registers the team with a deposit and each player can then register and pay their share until the full team balance is paid in full. As a former organizer of a team, I was really pleased with the new system. They have different fields/rinks for different sports. I think soccer and volleyball are the most popular (these are what I typically see when I am there to play soccer). The two indoor turf fields are quite spacious. There's plenty of room to run around and it is very easy to tire yourself (that's a good thing). The referees are very professional and courteous. They do a good job keeping the games on schedule. If you like to play volleyball or indoor soccer, then you'll like this place. Find the division that matches your skill level. Try to get on a "house" team or maybe ask the staff to try to place you on a team that is looking for players. If you're a female or like to play in goal then your chances of getting on a team are quite good. If you know some players that want to join a team, then maybe start your own. Oh, this place is MUCH better than XL Soccer World in Raleigh. When you have a game at NetSports you will know that the fields will always be the same size -- not so at XL Soccer World. As a team manager, I can tell you that the staff at XL Soccer World were very unfriendly and difficult to communicate with. Staff at NetSports have always been friendly -- they do a good job behind-the-scenes and in-person. This place makes me happy -- especially during the winter when I can't play outdoors.

Our son reported that kids were left to watch unsupervised YouTube Shorts for long periods, some of which included very disturbing content. More alarmingly, the pickup process is a major security risk. The front desk staff seemed completely indifferent to the children gathered in the corner, and there appeared to be no protocol to prevent a child from leaving with a stranger. If you are looking for a camp that prioritizes child safety and active engagement, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.
