I called and talked to Luke on the phone and described what my 11-year-old daughter was looking for in a bike - I had a make and model in mind. They didn't carry that specific one, but he spent 15+ minutes looking online and making suggestions of similar options. We decided on one (a Haro) and even though it was above what I was looking to spend, the customer service on a cold call from someone random was top-notch. They even went out of their way to special order a white basket for the front of the bike and mounted it. My daughter has been riding it every day since we got it. Their bike tech Stephen was great on the phone when I described what she wanted in a basket. It's not cheap, but it's not outrageous, and the customer service I experienced was on another level. If you're looking for something that will last your kids many years, I highly recommend coming here.

When returning merchandise they point to a piece of paper taped to the counter that states the policy. They are extremely RUDE about it, in fact the guy I dealt with was an absolute ass about. Bottom line, they're going to keep your hard earned money and force you to get something else or use the credit later. Who does that in this day and age. I popped in on the search for some sneakers and was in the store for well over five minutes, and passed at least 4 team members, three of which were not helping anyone else, and not one time did someone acknowledge or speak to me. Well she said she couldn't do that because it would mess up her inventory bc I didn't have my tag. Well no crap Sherlock. I'll just keep my old tag at home(that's in the trash) and you can have this new tag I'm exchanging it out for to keep in your inventory to send back as defective. I mean this is simple math right? I wasn't returning the socks, only exchanging... She said it won't work like that or allow me to do that and goes to call her manager, Colton or whatever, and he's like absolutely not without the original tag. I totally understand if I was returning an item, but I was simply exchanging a pair of socks for crying out loud... I mean I dropped $200 on socks alone last month! This is Cool Springs for crying out loud. I almost wanted to just give her the socks back and walk out but instead I simply bought yet another pair of socks since she wouldn't exchange the defective ones out and I let them know that's the last $20 bucks they'll ever get out of me. They first introduced me to a winter obsession of mine - Smartwool socks. If you've never worn them, they are so wonderful and warm and addictive. They are meant for hiking, and that's what I originally bought them for, but I wear them all the time in winter now. I've never had staff help here that seemed anything other than them trying to make a sale. I went there today with a pair of Vasque boots whose sole cushioning had dry rotted after 3 years. The manager said there was nothing that Vasque would do, and recommended a cobbler on the West Coast who would repair them for $60. Instead I took the boots to Cumberland Transit, and 15 minutes after I had walked out of BRMS, Cumberland said no problem. All I had to do was pay $10 shipping to have them sent back to Vasque to get new soles. It also ticked me off that the lady at BRMS repeatedly said the soles had delaminated, when in fact they had dry-rotted, something I had to point out to her multiple times. In short, this is the worst BRMS store I have ever been in, and one of the worst outdoor stores in the Nashville area, which is consistent with the reviews I have heard from other outdoor buffs. I guess they stay in business catering to the Belle Meade label conscious crowd.
