When I walked in with my four kids (6,4,3 10mo.), we were kindly greeted. I asked where the softball things were, and the young man helped me find the area quickly. We spent some time looking at the many options, and found practically everything we thought we needed: bat, mitt, batting helmet, pants, ball, fielding mask, bat bag. They had lots of cleats too, but we already had some at home. When we went to check out, the man kindly told us we had picked out a t-ball bat, and he went with us to help find a softball bat that would work for my daughter. I appreciated that help in finding what would work well for her. Thank you! I would go here again if we pick up any other sports along the journey.

I called and talked to Luke on the phone and described what my 11-year-old daughter was looking for in a bike - I had a make and model in mind. They didn't carry that specific one, but he spent 15+ minutes looking online and making suggestions of similar options. We decided on one (a Haro) and even though it was above what I was looking to spend, the customer service on a cold call from someone random was top-notch. They even went out of their way to special order a white basket for the front of the bike and mounted it. My daughter has been riding it every day since we got it. Their bike tech Stephen was great on the phone when I described what she wanted in a basket. It's not cheap, but it's not outrageous, and the customer service I experienced was on another level. If you're looking for something that will last your kids many years, I highly recommend coming here.

She told me verbally what she would recommend and said she would meet me over there to discuss more. I honestly am sad I didn't give her the time, as I was in a rush and limited on time. If I had more time and hadn't already been researching what shoes I wanted, I would have stayed and had a long convo with her about her recommendations. She was incredibly helpful. A God-send. I've never had staff help here that seemed anything other than them trying to make a sale. I went there today with a pair of Vasque boots whose sole cushioning had dry rotted after 3 years. The manager said there was nothing that Vasque would do, and recommended a cobbler on the West Coast who would repair them for $60. Instead I took the boots to Cumberland Transit, and 15 minutes after I had walked out of BRMS, Cumberland said no problem. All I had to do was pay $10 shipping to have them sent back to Vasque to get new soles. It also ticked me off that the lady at BRMS repeatedly said the soles had delaminated, when in fact they had dry-rotted, something I had to point out to her multiple times. In short, this is the worst BRMS store I have ever been in, and one of the worst outdoor stores in the Nashville area, which is consistent with the reviews I have heard from other outdoor buffs. I guess they stay in business catering to the Belle Meade label conscious crowd.

They told me that because it was past 30 days since I had purchased the shoes that I couldn't return them (it was 45 days). So I said I'll take a store credit instead. Then they told me they couldn't do that either because the shoes were dirty. I was told that they needed to "be in pristine condition to return them." However, she had only worn them inside their store for 20 minutes while trying them on. So apparently you can't try on any shoes there because the store is dirty enough to make them used and void any possible return. Don't buy anything here. The sales team isn't train well enough to help you find shoes that will fit, everything is overpriced and the return policy is horrendous. Safe yourself the time, money, and frustration by never stepping foot in this store. I know I will.
