Mascarpone Cheesecake

I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel and and Socci was located inside. I had tried the breakfast, but by far this dinner was my favorite. The chicken was fresh and succulent and the Alfredo sauce was hand made. I appreciate the chef adding tomato's at my request. Overall 10/10 from the service to the food quality. I would dine here again.

Classic breakfast food with a simple menu. Came out within ten minutes of ordering with a solid presentation. A convenient and delicious way to start the morning before flying out of DCA. Located in the lobby of a hotel, the atmosphere was modern and cozy.

The linguini wasn't bad but I wasn't happy that for over $20 I only received 2 shrimp in this dish that I cut into small pieces.

This is a restaurant and bar located inside the Renaissance hotel. I stopped by for a quick drink and to grab a meal to go. Service was quick and there was a calm chill vibe since it wasn't very busy.

Rocky was great, we are here for a conference and moved over to the bar after dinner and he took great care of us, we'll definitely be back!

Meh. Nathaly was great. Food was mediocre connected to a hotel. Octopus cut thick and very chewy, chickpeas weren't cooked all the way so some pieces were a tough bite. Alfredo sub penne add broccolini. Run of the mill Alfredo sauce. Fruit fly galore. No gloves when handling food?

First time at Socci Urban Italian Kitchen + Bar located inside the Marriott Renaissance in Arlington, VA. We stopped at location after it started raining. We tried the following menu items: -Penne Bolognese (4/5). -Spaghetti Carbonara (4/5). -Gala Apple and Gorgonzola salad (4.5/5). -Happy Hour chicken wings. The wings were crispy and a bit spicy (4.5/5). -House Bread Pudding dessert (4/5). -Strawberry shortcake. I don't recommend this dessert it tasted like store bought (3/5). It's a lovely restaurant with great service. I would come back for the happy hour specials and try their steak's next time! Happy Yelping :)

I ordered my food to go but while waiting, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the place is. It seems like such a nice spot to meet up with friends or just sit at the bar and unwind.

Meatballs! Delicious!

I ordered the burrata and it did not disappoint. There is only one burrata I have had that was better than this one and it is in CT. The bed of tomatoes and stuff it sits in is so savory, the bread not too hard where you have crumbs all over the place but also not too soft! Love love! It's a hotel bar/restaurant, the servers were nice and offered suggestions not just to me but people around me when they were deciding between things. I also want to note that I love they have and offer "half portions" of some their entrees for half the cost. Honestly perfect for a hotel guest. Oh the meatballs!!!! Absolutely delicious!!!! Must have! I can't speak to the other dishes but the burrata plus meatballs paired perfectly. My burrata came with bread which was also delicious with meatball sauce. 5 stars for food and quick service at bar on a Tuesday and their recommendations did not disappoint.

Strawberry Shortcake

Socci was located within my hotel, so it was the natural choice for a late night dinner. There are not many dinner spots within walking distance. I came down in a tshirt and shorts and this was definitely considered underdressed by the staff. They seated me on the outskirts of the dining area at a low-top table. The table was quite uncomfortable as your knees did not go under the table top and instead sat level. I had the Gala Apple and Gorgonzola Salad ($14) with added Chicken ($8) and the Strawberry Shortcake ($9). All of the food was quite good, especially the Strawberry Shortcake. Servings were just right (though the Shortcake is probably intended to be shared by two or three). That said, the treatment of the staff who took my order and rushed me to be done, the terrible prices on the rest of the menu (crab cakes were listed at $52 which feels like highway robbery when compared to my salad), and the small size of other, more expensive dishes I watched walk past me left me with a bit of a sour taste.

Birthday Cake

Subpar Italian fare nestled in a hotel... with mood lighting. Extremely overpriced food and drinks... 5 people and the bill was $400 for pasta dishes. However, they did accommodate us by reserving a large enough table & providing an entire birthday cake for my fiance's birthday! The cake was moist & delicious- and in my opinion - fairly priced at $36. All staff we encountered were extremely informative and friendly!

Generally speaking Italian food is not my go to but I must say I am glad I came here. The food was really good and the waitress was very attentive. I really enjoyed the decor and the ambiance while I was here. I definitely would recommend especially if you enjoy Italian food.

This is the drink they brought me with a hair in it.

I ate here twice on a recent stay . First night was spaghetti with meat balls and it was fair at best . Dry and overcooked. I came back a second time and had crab cakes and a drink but it had a hair in the drink. The crab cakes were delicious. Rather than give me a whole new drink they only replaced the portion that was remaining which I thought was a bit tacky after finding the large hair in my first one.

Visited SOCCi twice during my stay in the area, once at the bar and once for dinner. The restaurant was not packed, so we were seated immediately both times. ATMOSPHERE: Mix between a hip dive bar and a classy restaurant, not landing exactly either of the two. They have these changing overhead lights that felt distracting during dinner and really more appropriate for the bar alone. Also, I didn't see any restaurant parking, and the parking at the hotel is incredibly expensive. FOOD/DRINKS: I ordered the Linguini Carbonara. The pasta was pretty good. The sauce tased like a hybrid between garlic alfredo and a true carbonara, but still tasted flavorful and rich. I thought I wouldn't like large pieces of bacon in the pasta, but they were soft and not chewy. The drinks were a let down. I got an old fashioned and a "Blood of the Moon" (fruit cocktail) and both were just "meh." PRICE/VALUE: They have a small side plate size and an entree size of each plate. The small size plates my friends got were small and are overpriced in my opinion. The entree plates were more reasonable in proportions. Their drinks are a bit pricy in my opinion and don't deliver for how much they cost. SERVICE: Everyone was kind here. The bartenders and servers were attentive and it didn't take long to put in an order and get our food/drinks. Overall, you are likely headed to this place since it's close to where you are staying, and while convenient, there may be better options in the area. I didn't have the best experience here, but it got the job done when I was hungry while staying nearby.

When we made the reservation in advance, we called to ask if happy hour was everywhere or just at the bar; they said everywhere, so we booked a table. Plot twist, it's only at the bar / downstairs :))) We arrived 15 minutes early, so while they got our table ready, we ordered at the bar. 5 stars for the bartender. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

About that $23 salad: The portion is a little skeet (that's an STL term - look it up) but the chicken was honestly juicy and flavorful as hell. When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off
