We've been leaving Social 219 out of our regular bar/food rotation due to a couple of shiny new places that have opened up in the area. Friday we went back and I got the meatball sub that is a Friday special and Sharon got the chimichurri wrap and I have to say we had forgotten how good the food is! This was a very nice sports bar. Spacious, modern, and the staff was excellent! My sister had a party for her husband. She had the food catered by Social 219 and it was really good...best French fries ever! Ample parking was a breath of fresh air especially because I frequent places in the city so often and parking is always an issue. I would definitely go here again! read more

Service was pretty good by one of the ladies but there was another bartender, a short man with glasses, blonde hair, who consistently turned the music down every time we played a song on TouchTunes (which is open to all the customers). If you're going to work at a bar and grill that has open music, you cannot be emotional on the music choice. No one wants to listen to everyone else's conversations instead of the music being played. I played 4 songs total, every single time the music was lowered. All the other times, the music was loud enough to enjoy. Left early and went somewhere else more cultured enough to let EVERYONE enjoy their music of choice. It's 2026, grow up. read more

Really unfortunate, we had been told to give Social a try as we have lived here our entire lives and hadn't been. We'll never go back. No question they were busy, but 45 min for chips and queso, and other food was no where close to coming. We left a $20 and explained we had to leave to get home to our daughter and was called an a$$hole by the waitress on the way out. We'll be sure to share our experience with others read more

I visited Social 219 today and I hope to never visit this place in my life. From the moment my group walked into the door with my friends we were met with the most rude bartender. My group just finished a brewery tour and decided to keep the fun times going because we got dropped off right in front of Social 219. From the moment I walked into the bar with my group the bartender instantly started being aggressive with my group and was extremely rude. Because we were coming from a brew tour a few people had closed bottles of wine, closed bags of chips, and I had a half bottle of water with leftovers. I am very understanding and respectful of any restaurant policy but this woman took it to another level. Instead of opting to explain the policy to us in a nice manner she opted to embarrass us in front of everyone. She was so unwelcoming from the start and decided to yell across the bar at us which made the whole bar look at us. I decided to put my items in the car along with anything else that was not allowed in the bar. When I returned she was still yelling at other members in my party that may have missed her first rude outburst about the food. After putting everything back in the car the bartender was still not happy. I quietly mentioned to my friend that we should probably find a new place. Lucky for me the bartender was walking past at that very moment, which made yell to me that we can go to any of the other 90 plus places in the area in a rude tone. I am not sure if she was having a bad day. It was my first time visiting the area and I am not sure why my group was met with such rudeness. After the experience we decided the give the manager a call to file a complaint but a woman picked up and was just as nasty. It made me realize that if the management was just as nasty the staff must get free reign. When we called again to get the name of the manager so we can mention it in the review but they handed it off to a random customer that pretended he was the manager. After we explained the complaint to he let us know in a joking manner that he was not even the manager. The place smelled lile cigarette smoke anyway. The place was large which was a bummer because it could've easily accommodate my large group size. Oh well, highly not recommend. read more

We ordered from Social 219 tonight for the first time. I'm not kidding when I say it was the BEST BLT I've ever had! Bacon overflowing, bread toasted to perfection, just the right amount of tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Everything else we ordered was awesome as well. We went there last night - 5 out of 10. Nice open layout, smoking is allowed. The bartender/server was great, especially for working solo. Ordered house special sevops (not sure of spelling) and a beef sandwich. She had 3-4 bites of the beef and stopped. It was large, but flavorless. The sevops were outside made and way over cooked. The sides (potato salad & coleslaw) were great. $73 with 5 drinks. I'll give it another chance, but they should work on some things. read more

Giving this place an OBLIGATORY 5 star! Ya, I was a fan of this place before... Great crowd, cool atmosphere and decently priced food and drink. So why is this place getting that extra star? Well besides all the good stuff in my previous review; last night I witnessed something pretty awesome. I'm hanging out, it's about 9:30 or so and an obviously shmammered patron - older gentleman, 50s or more - is bobbin' 'n weavin' at the bar fishing for his keys... That's when it happened, Chris (The Owner) starts talking to him, making some small talk with said patron and begins asking "oh, where do you live?"... little convo goes on. Next thing I hear is Chris telling the bartender to "Take care of the bar while I take this guy home" NO JOKE! Owner comes back about 20 - 30 minutes later, joking a little about how he had to drive around looking for the guys house because he forgot where he lived. Not mad about wasting gas or his time... If you walk out drunk outta MOST bars in this area the bartenders or owners probably figure "That's not my problem" or whatever... Apparently not at SOCIAL 219. AVOUD AVOID AVOID. This place was absolutely rude. We walked in with a very large group of people and just got off a brew bus with bags of chips in my hand. We walked into the bar expecting to have a few more drinks. As soon as we came in the bartender, Vlaka or Vodka whatever her name was began speaking loudly across the bar that we cannot have outside food or alcohol. The alcohol we had and food was all closed and concealed, we put these in the car and walked back in to grab a drink. As soon as we walked back in, the bartender on staff began yelling across half of the place and shouting over other customers "that there are 95 bars in Indiana and we need to go to another one". Constantly, amongst other things she was yelling. Other customers put their drinks down and began looking at this loud scene going on. We each tried to respond in a respectful tone that this was not how we wanted to be treated and as a employee in the customer service business is unacceptable. We left. When we got home we tried calling the place and Vodka or Vlaka answered saying she was the manager. We said we wanted to call and let them know of the situation that occurred (I would assume most people don't want to hire rude EMPLOYEES and deter customers??) The woman kept cutting us off.. and was plaIe rude. We called back to speak with the manager, we tried to speak with the 'manager' and a male was put on the phone Vsil? This guy was YELLING OVER THE PHONE we were just trying to get a complaint ordered, a GM name and number but no. Absolutely will not come back here and it is a shame this unprofessional place of business exists in such a quaint town. We ended up going to the pizza place and they were soooo accommodating. Came here about two days ago on Monday night 2/4/19 to try to get something to eat before going home and while my friend was placing his order the server/bartender turned her back on him and proceeded to walk away then whenever he asked are you going to take the rest of my order or you just going to walk away she grabbed my drink and threw it in the trash and kicked us out, i've worked in food and beverage for six years in high end casinos. never have I witnessed this type of service and disrespect especially since it was her unexceptional guest service that caused him to ask her are you going to be able to take the rest of my order or are you going to continue to walk away. It's good to see a bar of this caliber open in the NWI area. Someone put some thought into the decor which I sincerely appreciate, definitely not your local dive bar. A friend and I stopped for after work drinks on a Friday night and although the bar only had a small crowd I have to assume this has more to do with people not knowing about the place than anything else. Drinks were well made (...read heavy handed pour) and the bar food was solid. There were at least 6 big screen tvs playing various sports but since it was the night of the Olympics opening ceremonies, they dominated the screens and played over a quality sound system. I will try this bar again to see what the true nightlife is about because based on the layout, it seemed as if it turned into a dance club in the evening. read more

Will probably never go there again. Took over an hour to get our meal. Typically, one server per 5 tables. 52 people in this bar 3/3/21 and only one server. This place is awesome. Food was fresh. Bartender was so sweet and inviting. The owner gave free shots to my friends and I because I promoted the place on my food blog- 4theluvofgrub. Would recommend and come again. I got a Cuban to go and can't wait to try it. Tried the hummus platter and it was delicious. Got the nacho appetizer and the queso and chicken were amazing!!! Definitely coming back. It is a smoker place but it wasn't bad because it was slow. Definitely enjoyed the cleanliness of everything. The bar and bathroom were spotless. For watching a game or for a late night liquor fix, Social 219 is fine. For actually getting a quality draught beer and good food at a bar, I think I'll pass. The chicken sandwich was fine but well overcooked. Pretzel bun was softer than it should have been and fries pretty average. Beers on draught were limited at less than 10 from the look of it. Though they did have Zombie Dust on draught, so if that's available always and never taps out, then fine. Tons of tvs but it gets loud and potentially smokey. Social has a nightclub feel but the inside does not live up to the look. read more

Been there once, will not go back. Their inside, smokey atmosphere lingers right outside the door into the parking lot. All you have to do is drive by to see beer bottles, broken beer bottles, and even glassware sitting in the parking lot. I do like this bar. The food is good, the prices are decent, the problem is the waitstaff. Most of the time they have one person working the whole bar/restaurant, or if you are lucky, they have one working the bar and one working the tables. And even when that happens, half the time the waitress you get has such an attitude that you wonder if you are supposed to be thankful that they even graced your table with their presence. Waiting over 30 minutes for a waitress at a NWI (not that busy) bar is unacceptable. Fix that, and I will gladly give it more stars. read more

We have gone here on several occasions when we had a taste for a burger . We only go during slow times , because the smoke inside is super thick and it smells totally repulsive . They really have pretty good food and a nice variety of beer. If you can tolerate the smoke, its a good place to watch a game . The service was fair , nothing great but they seemed to provide the minimum requirements of taking your order and serving you . However I am sitting here early on a Saturday night with maybe 18 to 20 other customers and we are being totally ignored . The owner is walking around serving shots to his buddies , and one would think that he would notice us sitting here unattended for past 10 minutes . It doesn't appear that they even serve food anymore , ashtrays are only thing on tables .
