Three areas with their own music styles (live band/main room, sports bar and tecno/DJ) makes it trendy for all types. The perks continue with the absence of the Snookie types for the most part. You won't find guys tearing their shirts off or doing pushups on the dance floor here either, nor will you find guys measuring their manhood by the diameter of their biceps. It's just a bunch of young professionals out having a great time. Be prepared and come with cash. This is a cash only establishment until the IRS catches up with them. There's an ATM, but youll pay a nominal fee to use it.

If you haven't blacked out at The Osprey, have you even done the Jersey Shore right?…read more The Osprey in Manasquan is basically a rite of passage--a sweaty, glorious temple of dance floors, vodka sodas, and pure summertime chaos. It's like someone bottled the energy of a college tailgate, added a bunch of neon lights and live music, and dropped it a block from the beach. You walk in and boom: the Rock Room is serving up live bands like it's 2009, while the Boom Boom Room is just that--nonstop DJs spinning tracks that'll have you dancing like you didn't promise to "take it easy tonight." Drinks? Cheap enough to buy rounds like you're a baller. Vibes? Off the charts. You will lose your voice from screaming lyrics and your dignity somewhere around 1am. And honestly... Isn't that the goal. Fun Fact: Bruce Springsteen once drank here and wrote a song about it. So yeah, you're partying where The Boss once stood. No pressure. (Rumor has it, he had his first (legal) drink here) So, if you're looking for a quiet, sophisticated evening... go literally anywhere else. But if you're ready for an unfiltered, beautifully chaotic night to remember (or not), The Osprey is definitely the place to be.

The stairs going up to this club build the excitement but if you're a girl, make sure to wear the comfy version of your six inch stilettos. The bars are on either side of the doors when you walk in and we had no problem getting a drink. The venue itself is super cool, the perfect size and it wasn't too overpacked when we were there. The lighting here, just incredible. It's so fun to see how they match it to the music! Big big fan of this. The acoustics were also very good and left you feeling like the bass was inside of you at the end of a song. I would definitely come here again for a concert in the future!

I attended the HQ2 Beachclub at Ocean Casino Resort with a group of friends to see Afrojack. The…read moreevent ran from 11 AM to 6 PM, and we arrived around 12:30 PM. The first issue was simply finding the venue. Coming from the self-parking garage, there was very little signage directing guests to the Beachclub. We eventually found our way by following another group headed there, but better directions and signs would make a huge difference. The biggest problem, however, was the security screening. My friends and I carefully reviewed the venue rules beforehand and followed the bag and dress code requirements. Despite that, security went through our belongings in an extremely invasive manner. They opened wallets, flipped through personal items, and thoroughly searched small bags that were well within the approved size limits. They were looking at how much money and credit cards I had! When I questioned why they were looking through things like my wallet, noting that even airport security doesn't typically inspect belongings that way, the response I received was rude and dismissive. The entire interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily intrusive. Once inside, it became clear that unless you're planning to spend hundreds of dollars on bottle service, there aren't many places where you can simply sit, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Shortly after we found seats, we were approached and made to feel unwelcome unless we were spending money. The overall vibe felt very pretentious and exclusive rather than welcoming. What made this even more frustrating was the inconsistency in enforcement. The venue rules clearly state that smoking is prohibited, yet multiple people were openly smoking throughout the event while numerous security staff stood nearby and did nothing. Meanwhile, security had spent so much effort scrutinizing our belongings at the entrance. It gave the impression that certain guests were being targeted while others were allowed to ignore the rules. Exiting the venue was also confusing. We attempted to leave through the same area where we entered and followed visible exit signs, only to be told to turn around and walk all the way to the opposite side of the venue. Once again, clearer signage would help avoid unnecessary confusion. To be fair, the bathrooms were clean throughout the day, and there were attendants making sure they stayed that way. The bartenders were also friendly and professional. I was only drinking water, and every time I ordered one, they were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, those positives weren't enough to outweigh the overall experience. Between the confusing layout, invasive security procedures, inconsistent rule enforcement, and constant pressure to spend money, this venue simply isn't for me. No matter which DJ is performing, I won't be returning. I'd much rather attend events at venues in Philadelphia that offer a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The ceilings are super low which makes it hard for things like floaties (which we're going around the club that night) to get passed around. Since the ceilings are low, so are the light fixtures. Things that are actually really good about this club: first, there is an abundance of bars. They have 5 bars inside. I didn't visit the outdoor area so I'm not sure how many they have outside. I did see that there are volleyball courts outside along with a stage for the DJ performing for the night outside though. Second, there's not a strict dress code for the club so it's easy to pick something to wear. I wore cargo shorts, a t shirt, vans, and a SnapBack which is not usual Friday night attire for a nightclub, but I got in no problem and found others wearing things similar. The indoor DJ booth is a bit small, but it makes for a pretty cool experience because you can actually see the DJ. Overall, good experience here. I'd come back to kill a Friday night.

There's a very swampy dirty pool there which is kind of a turn off. It's roped off but an ugly eye sore. There's volleyball courts people were playing at. It's a huge place. Room to dance in front of the entertainment. We shared a nacho platter- plenty for 4 people with really good chunks of chicken on top.
