Super friendly staff. The most delicious warm bread. Huge servings. Had the eggplant parm and baked ziti. Both were good, piping hot. We were surprised to find the ziti was vegetarian but still good. Finished with a cappuccino and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was ok just a little over brûléed as parts tasted burnt. Overall a decent meal.

Old style Italian restaurant! Decorated very nicely and very clean. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and most of all very attentive! We had the special appetizers which consisted of crumbled sausage, broccoli robe and beans. Our dinners were delicious and perfect portions. They were their Seafood Risotto and Veal Saltimbocca. Looking for a great local Italian restaurant look no further.

Went back to Bella Michael's last week. Last time I was there was about a year ago. I ordered a lunch special which was jumbo shrimp and chorizo and tomatoes with white rice. Very good dish and nice size portion for $16.00. I also ordered a fried Calamari appetizer which I've ordered in the past and it was very good last time and decent size portion. However, this time it still was very tasty but it was a smaller portion than previous times I've ordered it. It cost $15.00 I will not order this again because it was too small amount for the price. Cost me $42.00 with the tip for lunch. I don't mind paying high prices but I do expect a better portion!!

In town searched for a cozy restaurant with a good menu. Even hotel staff said yes to Bella.Everything was excellent. Waitress was so kind. Atmosphere was quiet n relaxing and food was absolutely excellent. Lamb chop special, chicken franchise, mussels and French onion soup. Definitely glad we came.

NO FOOD PHOTO AVAILABLE, Sorry! But there just happened to be a seat at the bar. So I was able to finally sit without holding a steering wheel. Friendly staff, busy floor. I love to hear the clanking of dishes that means there's business. I kept it safe and got the ny strip it was cooked perfect, custom sides. My favorite thing about a hidden gem in a small town is the opportunity to hang with the regulars and towns folks. A received tons of suggestions from regulars felt like I was in my own town. What a great atmosphere! Bartender made the best surprise martinis! I love an on the spot mix, before winter go try the Autumn Martini. Very Nice Restaurant

Ordered to go just prior to opening time on a Saturday night. Family of 8. Bill was 186 and only the 2 meals of chicken parm were edible. Experience probably depends highly on what you order. Seafood options not recommended. Calamari had zero taste -most bland thing I have ever eaten. The crispy seafood mix was not correct, no shrimp and served with red sauce (menu did not say anything about red sauce). Chicken Tuscana had large amount of Swiss cheese on it but menu indicates mozzarella. We are frequent visitors to this area and we will not be trying again.

It was my first time here and I was lucky enough to be seated right away without having a reservation. The service was outstanding. As for the food, this is what I ordered. Baked Ziti - The sauce was deliciously creamy. It was aromatic, refreshing, and tangy. Usually, I am not a fan of red sauce because most restaurants make it too sour for me, but this was perfect for my flavor preference. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The ratio between pasta, sauce, and cheese was perfect. Fettuccine Alfredo - Overall, I like this dish, but since fettuccine alfredo is one of my favorite pasta dishes. I am very particular about my alfredo. I think the seasoning was a bit underwhelming. This sauce could use more cheese and it was too watery for me. The chicken was kind of plain also. It could use more seasoning and coloring.

Stopped in Bella Michael's for dinner on a Wednesday night, and WOW. Usually if you go to a restaurant in the middle of the week you'd expect the meal to be maybe a bit lacking, but these guys seem to be on their toes every night. For my drink, I asked for a suggestion on a fruity frozen cocktail and the bartender did not disappoint, mixed me up something that tasted alongs the lines of a fruity creamsicle - amazing! Food wise we started out with the crabmeat nachos and stuffed mushrooms, and honestly I was skeptical of the nachos but they were so delicious. The stuffed mushrooms were also probably the best we've ever had, something about them was just different and delectable. Onto the entrees which were both specials, were the roast pork loin and rack of lamb which were also of course equally delicious as was the chocolate cake. Service was fast and friendly being that we sat at 7:45 and left at 9:15 after having 5 courses (bread, apps, salad, entree, dessert). Only room for improvement here would be the decor, it's a bit outdated and could use some tlc. Overall Bella Michael's is a near perfect establishment and I'd highly recommend anyone reading this to stop in and have a meal!

Was I wrong to have given this place a chance?…read more I have very specific directions for delivery which was to the rear entrance of the library on the SUCO campus. The delivery guy shouted over the phone and decided to make me walk all the way to the bus stop which was a major problem since it was snowing. I ordered my food to the library, but the bus stop. It really isn't that hard for them to pull up 100 feet down from the bus stop which really shouldn't even have a car parked there in the first place. They were simple instructions that could've made a huge difference. Before I even tried the food I was already really annoyed with their service. My cheese wontons were delicious, but the beef lo mein had no flavor. They were generous with the portion of beef given though. The beef was flavored, but the noodles were bland despite looking like they were drowned in soy sauce. I also got the diced chicken with cashews which came with a container of sauce. It was mostly onions and mushrooms and had little chicken. This place needs to improve on their service manners for the delivery person, but I would order from here again to find more items that were as satisfying as the fried cheese wontons. I also heard that it is open and delivers until 2am which is something all the Chinese food places in Oneonta do not do. So for that, I will give an additional star. The actual hours need to be updated!

This is a haute cuisine place that is masked by the casual dining atmosphere. Seriously: top notch chef, original recipes, a core dedication to quality seafood, paired with a fresh fish counter and some prepared food to go. We usually go for something special, but tonight I decided to get an old childhood standby, fried clams (the Boston Basket) and the fish burger sandwich. I did not expect either to be as transportive as they turned out to be. The fried clams were as delicately done as I've ever had: not crispy, but not too floppy, with excellent breading. And while I prefer my clams naked, we tried all three of the dipping sauces -- a remoulade, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. Now normally I loathe cocktail sauce and can take tartar sauce or leave it, so I figured we'd eat up the remoulade and ignore the other two. Still, I gave them little nibbles. Man! The cocktail sauce was like no other I've had, with a heavy hint of horseradish and a far fresher flavor than I've ever had. Then the tartar sauce -- genius! It had a delicate spicing, with capers providing a floral backdrop. That was only a preliminary, as the fish burger proved to be complex, with hints of multiple kinds of fish, and a fennel-based spicing. I ended up having that afterglow, as if I'd had a couple of cocktails and was sitting next to a fireplace, that is the hallmark of truly fine food at an advanced level. We also had the usual outstanding service, attentive without being pushy. I seriously think Hooked should consider splitting into two restaurants: one where the ambiance is upgraded to match the high caliber of the food, and another cheaper one that is strictly fast casual and takeout, and they'd more than double the business. There is a restaurant back where we come from in California, Turtle Bay, that did this with fine dining on one side and the quick, simple, and affordable food on the other side, with a big shared kitchen between them but with completely separate ambiances. That way I could come back more frequently, and still have the original Hooked for special occasions!

I finally decided to give Hooked a try after hearing many great things about their lobster roll…read more With that said, I'm glad I did because the food was delicious. To explain, I ordered the cold lobster roll with fries and it was great. First off, the lobster was tender, incredibly fresh, and they loaded the roll with it. Likewise, the roll was perfect. It was airy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. My only issue with the lobster roll was that it needed more mayonnaise. In the same manner, the fries were phenomenal. To make plain, the fries were scorching hot and seasoned to perfection. Also, they had a crispy exterior with a fluffy interior. These were simply great fries. Essentially, Hooked offers great lobster rolls and fries.

I'm happy to report that the world has not ended, and while there are more than a handful of downstate customs that transplant poorly all in all from my vantage point it's gone pretty well. To vanquish faceless industry and the government at the same time, and in a way that makes your mouth happy and your belly full is winning. Winning in a really good way. Dazzo's exemplifies much of this for me. I'm only back a few times a year, but every time I visit I visit here. I'll bring mother, make Christmas presents out of gift certificates, other things.
