Terrible experience for me as pregnant woman , i ordered the social burger and fries , fries were good no problem my burger was not and it happens its okay i took 2 bites trying to see if i can do it and i just couldnt (pregnant women understand) i asked nicely to speak with the manager my server was super nice very much a gentleman got the manager, the manager was very very rude wouldnt even let me finish speakin about the problem I told him I ordered more fries instead, and just if we could remove the burger, I didn't even get to eat it got told it didnt matter if my food wasnt good he isn't removing it because I'm not telling him why my burger wasn't good and was standing over me with his hands in his pocket talking harshly and just arguing with himself he's at least 6 feet and i am 4'11 ... lol so if you could picture that it wasn't a good looking scene so I stepped back and told him if he can settle down I don't know why he's speaking to me the way he is or hovering for this is not ok i dont feel safe or comfortable with you doing this so i will happily just go and eat my fries i guess and leave it at that wasnt going to argue anymore and he told me he will go and look at my burger to see if I am pretty much lying about my burger not being good or correct . It was a very stressful moment for me. I am glad that my server was very helpful and trying to resolve the situation for me and help me out. He deserves his flowers. His name is Ray and he is great ! This restaurant had the slowest service that I've ever experienced. There was no shortage of staff - there were plenty of workers who were around. The food was not fresh - you can tell it was just reheated. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have A LOT of time on your hands to waste. read more

Seems like most the reviews are either great or terrible. My experience landed squarely on the great side. I figured I should have breakfast in the beach at least once while here. There isn't a lot of options for that. I did some googling and discovered Social. I was the first customer, at 7am sharp on a Thursday and got the best table on the patio. Unbeatable views. The waves crash against the rocks below creating a beautiful and relaxing scene, audio and visual. Sea birds are their breakfast as they dive into the waves. Planes jetted past the sky. And a sailboat on the horizon finished my sunrise view. I ordered the continental breakfast. This is not your typical hotel breakfast. This was extremely fresh, artisan quality food. Fruit- absolutely fresh, ripe, and delicious. Better fruit does not exist. Croissant- warm, buttery, flaky, and a bit indulgent. I could eat 20. Coffee (Americano)- smooth, rich, flavorful Bacon- thick and delicious. I wish I had asked for crispy though. Orange juice- tasted fresh to me. Not over sweet, not sour, full of pulp, refreshing and delicious. Service was good. As always, don't expect rushed American style service here. Relax. Restaurant has fabulous views and the ambiance was very nice. However...here is the letter I wrote to management; We were at your restaurant last night and had the WORST SERVICE we have ever experienced in our lives. The slowest & most horrific service of all time. My family sat there for 35 minutes without ever being even offered any beverage service whatsoever. I had to go up and speak to the host inside to get someone to even come see us. The food order took over an hour to arrive! We were so upset and dissatisfied with the way we were completely ignored, there are not words to describe the level of how pissed off we all were. We had 3 children with us, expecting kids to sit and wait around for an hour before even receiving drinks? Unacceptable. Worst part was, the restaurant was empty. No one was inside and the patio was 1/2 full. They didn't even have enough menus for all of us to have our own. How is this happening?? Run away from this place. Fabulous views, better than any other I experienced while there. The food is simply put trash. The menu change over is utterly ridiculous when is all the same kitchen. And the brunch menu fails to accommodate no pork diets, yet breakfast has chicken sausage. Make it make sense. Also, no side of bacon during brunch, but they are serving a bacon burger. Social is connected to the hotel Condado Ocean Club. We ate here for a convenient last day breakfast. The place is beautiful! I cannot complain at all about the overall cleanliness of the building or the tables. The view is beautiful and really the selling point of coming here for sure. Prior to coming here I did research the breakfast options and saw the menu had eggs Benedict and bottomless mimosas. If you are coming any day besides Saturday and Sunday, don't count on either of those things being there. They only offer them for brunch on those days. Disappointed, I ordered the steak and eggs (I chose poached eggs, but you can select whatever style you want). The meal was ok, I am not sure it was worth the price, but there isn't really anywhere else in this area that would be any less. So it is what it is. The mimosas were average. They have a combined gender bathroom. I suppose for some people that's nice. The stalls are able to be locked with a deadbolt style lock. I have a hard time personally sharing bathrooms with men, but I have my own individual trauma that skews my opinion on this. So I am Biased. I don't take any points away for this. This is a more upscale modern food experience with great cocktails and food such as creamy coconut oatmeal with fruit, terrific french toast with fruit, walnuts and powdered sugar, passionfruit mimosa. SOCIAL's Saturday brunch was a big hit with our bachelorette group of 15 ladies - we made the reservation over a week in advance over the phone and were seated at a long table on the covered patio with a gorgeous ocean view. The menu is quite limited with only a few options, but pretty much all of it got great reviews. I shared the Truffle Mac & Cheese and Almond French Toast with a friend and really enjoyed both dishes. Portions were quite filling for the price, and service was really fast and efficient even though our group had many requests (changing a hot coffee to an iced one last minute, extra sauces and syrups, etc.). One friend called the mac & cheese "the best she has ever had," loaded with truffle flavor. Espresso martinis were also delicious and one of the best ones we tried in Puerto Rico. We came to have a dinner on our date night after having drinks at a nearby bar. This restaurant is inside of the Ocean Club Condado. The ambiance is really nice and intimate. We liked that each section had charges. We didn't bring chargers with us but we thought that was a cool inclusion being a tourist town. We had the Chilean Seabass that came with risotto and grilled ribeye with truffle Mac & cheese and seasoned vegetables. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The seabass really melts in your mouth and the risotto was very well prepared. We also enjoyed their cocktails. I ordered the filet mignon which was delicious and nicely cooked but luje warm. Didn't want to mention anything as we waited a long time and they were not busy. Parents ordered the New York medium rare and it was well done with the roasted potatoes were not fully cooked. Again flavor was good and meal was luke warm. Told server it was not cooked correctly and she did offer to get a new 1 but mom said she is not waiting for another 1hr. Waitress left and only came back to give us our bill. Yummy seafood with a view - what could be better? I had a most relaxing and peaceful meal here and was immediately enamored with the stunning view of the coastline before me. A nice breeze was passing through so even though the day was hot and humid I was comfortable throughout the meal. The server was friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. She recommended the poke salad and she did not steer me astray! It was the most fresh and delicious poke I have had in a long time - great suggestion! My friend had the fish tacos and maduros and we were both very pleased with the meal. Parking was a bit of a challenge as it is not clearly explained on their website where to go. The restaurant is beachfront in a kitschy hipster boutique hotel on the main street in Condado. Parking is only available across the street in the public pay lot unless you want to valet at the hotel for a hefty fee. We ended up with the empanada, the charcuterie board and the cauliflower dish. I had a steak with truffle butter that was great. The truffle butter was listed as $7 but came on the bill as $12 so we had them adjust that. The waiter was very nice. It took awhile to get our drinks. Honestly this place just exhausted me. We came for a nice brunch by the water and it just disappointed time and time again. When I arrived I asked to sit outside, but the hostess said they only had availability inside. Fine, I get it there's limited space by the water because thats where everyone wants to be. But I sat down and noticed a few empty tables by the water and she told me there were reservations - which was odd because I booked a reservation and there was no option to choose outdoor or indoor. Finally I wave him down and ask again. Then we go ahead and place our food orders because its clear no one is going to come around often. We order the french toast and chicken and waffles, and wait. It was probably at least 30 minutes before we got our appetizer, in a restaurant that wasn't crowded. In this time, I finish my tea and ask for more hot water twice, both times to no avail. As time goes on I realize more and more tables are clearing up outside but I keep getting told there's no space - I'm literally facing the balcony with the tables. For the last time, I ask if we can sit outside, because why have bad service and no view and my request was accepted. We move outside 40 min after arrival and after the entire outside is now empty. Food comes and all I can say is "really?" Chicken and waffled = DRY like scratch your throat dry. Fully covered it in syrup and followed with water dry. I realized my french toast was paired with an alcoholic syrup (bourbon), which was a little jarring since I didn't know that was a part of the dish. I used it for a few pieces and then asked the waitress for some non-alcoholic syrup. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me there was no alcohol in the syrup and that I must be mistaken. No beer option that we can find. Cocktails are genuinely decent. Dishes are not badly executed; I enjoyed a number of appetizers because that's where there was at least some local option. Barely. Actually, nothing is bad. I just don't think this is where you should go whether you're on vacation or business, because it fails to showcase what can be great about Puerto Rican food. read more

We visited for dinner and overall the experience was A1. I will mention that all restaurants in PR require that you show proof of vaccination in order to eat inside. I also encourage you make a reservation through Open Table as the local restaurants can fill up quickly. I ordered the Braised Short Rib and it was simply amazing. Seasoned well the only negative is that I wish I had more! The portion sizes are smaller considering the price. This restaurant is more on the pricier end but the overall experience and ambiance makes for a great outing. The only menu item that I wasn't impressed with was the crab cake. It didn't seem fresh and more as if they heated up a frozen meal. You can do without this app. But the entrees: the Short Rib and Filet Mignon were cooked perfectly. Delicious food, excellent service and beautiful atmosphere (oceanside view). This would definitely be a regular spot for me if I lived in San Juan. I started off with sparkling water and prosecco. For my meal, I got the green salad, the sea bass with risotto and finished it all off with the coconut shell (coconut ice cream inside a chocolate shell topped with mango and pineapple). Everything was perfection! The sea bass was among the best I've ever had, cooked just right with that crispy edge, too! Definitely make this a stop while in San Juan. I ate at Social this morning a little after 8am for breakfast. I ordered the Lox an Bagel with a side of bacon. I also used my welcome drink from the hotel for a complimentary Passionfruit Mimosa. Jesus was my server an was very pleasant. The view of the ocean really makes eatting here worth while however the price is left to be desirable. My total was $32 (including tip). I appreciated the bacon being more than just 2 pieces. I had what I thought to be a glass if sparkling water an he brought a whole huge bottle! I was tempted to take it back to my room considering I paid for it an didnt drink it all! Oh well! I would suggest asking for just a glass so you don't end up paying $12!!!! During our stay at Serafina hotel we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast at their restaurant. Hard to not enjoy a meal overlooking the gorgeous ocean, and the food did not disappoint. Let's start with coffee, I recommend the Puerto Rican coffee, bold and rich unlike the typical "americano" made with powered coffee mix and water. We had the French toast with our coffee to start and it was delicious. The best part of the meal! Omelet was decent, a little dry and lacked spices. Loved the Benedict with ham. I'd get that over scramble or omelette. Had to get some bacon on the side, sadly over cooked. But little hash brown cakes made up for it. Yum.
