Easy to understand orientation. Do not be late. PARKING AT THE COURTHOUSE: There is underground parking right beneath courthouse. The only way to enter the underground lot is by traveling east on 400 South before passing State Street. Enter the parking garage, grab your parking ticket and take it with you inside the courthouse. The jury coordinator will stamp your parking ticket and validate for the day. The courthouse garage is the best option over the other parking lots when traveling by car. WIFI I couldn't figure it out. It's also unsecured network so no point in doing tasks for work on laptop.

The District Court handles probate, adoption, civil, domestic, criminal, and juvenile cases, as well as housing the Utah Supreme Court (Appeals Court). The majority of business that happens here is down on the first floor in the north wing of the building. This is where the clerks for domestic, civil and criminal do their work. It also holds the probate clerk. The line for the clerks is often long and you may have to wait upward of 40 minutes sometimes. This is not typical however and the clerks do the best they can. The clerks office is very short staffed, so don't blame them. they are doing the best they can, and most are extremely helpful and will point you in the right direction. This is NOT the place you go if you are paying a traffic violation. For that you need to go to the Salt Lake Justice Court. Coming here wastes your time and others time. Don't do it. There is also a cafe located in the back west wing on the first floor. I cannot attest to the food there as I have never eaten there, but I am told that the food isn't terrible. All in all this courthouse is nice, but hopefully you never need to come here.

You'll immediately notice that it shares the property with a public elementary school. They use the gym during the day, but the weight room and track upstairs is available to the residents all day. Another thing you'll quickly notice is the lack of parking. They recently changed the entry procedures to allow visitors to enter the back door where the parking lot is. You used to have to walk around the building-which was rather painful in the winter since you have to walk through a muddy field. The facilities inside are adequate. You'll find the basic workout machines, weights, treadmills, etc. It can get busy during peak times or seasons, but people are usually pretty friendly and willing to take turns. There are also group fitness classes-they rotate schedules each quarter and offer the first week free so you can try them out. You can buy a pass or do a drop in class occasionally. Childcare is also available for an additional fee. Watch the LiveDaybreak website or social media to see what activities will be held here. While there are many activities throughout the year, only a handful are held at the community center. But when they are, you'll want to plan accordingly as the gym will likely be closed.

Its greatest use to the community are the rooms for rent from small conference rooms to the large (Community Room, Council Chambers). The larger facilities can hold about 50 guests, and it's a beautiful facility. City Hall is the best place to go for voting ... I went in there at noon on a Tuesday (but not in a Sheryl Crow way!) and there was no line. It's a multi- purpose facility, holding both the City administration and the Police Department, so don't make a wrong turn! ;)

We come here on a yearly basis to get our flu shots as a family. It's great because it's a walk-in…read morebasis and no need to schedule for an appointment to come in. There is never a long wait and from filling out forms, having them enter it into the system, and us being seen, it doesn't take no more than 20-25 minutes. The staff is friendly and they are personable to the younger kids so they feel more comfortable right before the shot is given . They also give out stickers after the shot to the kids, which cheers up the kids just a bit. We also get additional shots here for school entrance. It's close to home and it's always convenient!
