Rox Cafe is located in the Colesville Business Park, and it's on the front side. These little cafes connected to businesses are worth exploring, I tell ya! The ladies in here were very friendly, and they have great prices. They have sandwiches, smoothies, desserts, drinks, the works. One sandwich stood out, and it was a breakfasty one called the Bernard sandwich. It was described as having egg whites, spinach, turkey, a special mayo, and more on rye bread. It... was... DELICIOUS. I came to find out later that it was named after a pretty regular customer who came up with that. So awesome! This Korean-owned small deli is located on the first floor of the 11720 building - it seems as if the loyal customer base includes the employees of the building as well as those who live in the area. Unfortunately, Korean dishes are no longer on the menu, but you can call ahead and make a reservation for a pickup for a special request, such as bibimbop, bulgogi, fried rice, etc. I think it's incredibly generous and thoughtful that the owner would take the time to customize and make special Korean dishes for her customers! The menu offers cold and hot sandwiches, as well as breakfast options. Since we had already eaten lunch earlier, we tried their Steak & Cheese - this was lovingly prepared, filled generously with steak, fried onions, mayo, and provolone cheese - simple, delicious, and tasty! I'd love to try the rest of their hot and cold sandwich menu and hope to be able to try some of the Korean dishes as well on the next visit. She listened carefully, did not minimize the concern, took responsibility on behalf of the restaurant, and made sure I felt valued as a customer. What impressed me most was not just that she addressed the issue, but how elegantly she handled it. Genevieve was calm, gracious, sincere, and clearly committed to making things right.
