Food and service were both great. It's a little "hole in the wall" spot inside an office building that likely gets most of its customers from the surrounding offices. We came later in the afternoon on a Friday so I think we just beat the lunch rush. Unfortunately they were out of the soup we wanted...but we picked something else and were extremely pleased. Heads up -- your GPS will probably have you park on the back of the building... but don't do that. Just park in the front and avoid the reserved spaces (if everything isn't full). Rox Cafe is located in the Colesville Business Park, and it's on the front side. These little cafes connected to businesses are worth exploring, I tell ya! The ladies in here were very friendly, and they have great prices. They have sandwiches, smoothies, desserts, drinks, the works. One sandwich stood out, and it was a breakfasty one called the Bernard sandwich. It was described as having egg whites, spinach, turkey, a special mayo, and more on rye bread. It... was... DELICIOUS. I came to find out later that it was named after a pretty regular customer who came up with that. So awesome! This is isn't close to home, but for anyone who is in the area or wants a quiet change in scenery, they've got wifi. Work there, I think it's great! read more

Great little cafe for a quick breakfast or lunch, or even just to grab some snacks and drinks to go! I headed here right after a Doctor's appt nearby. They have a wide selection on their breakfast/lunch menu, I have attached photos of the menu and of all the snacks and drinks they provide. They have 6 groups of tables w/chairs in the cafe. No seating outside. Loved the Corn Chowder, delish! Clean establishment, friendly staff, lots of seating. They also do DoorDash delivery. Would come back again. read more

I saw Rox had a 5 star average but confession time; the main reason I came was I needed to get a bunch of easy-to-eat-without-silverware-and-dishes lunches for the crew moving our stuff into our new house and I didn't want McDonalds. I am so glad we came here though! I normally don't get very excited about sandwiches but I had trouble picking from the delectable sounding choices and the one I ended up with, the grilled cranberry chicken wrap, was SO good! The bite I had of hubby's roast beef was also terrific. The three movers who chose chicken salad all said it was great (I totally plan on trying the curried chicken salad next time!) I think we will be ordering lunch here a lot going forward. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious and some is actually quite healthy! Get the SOUP! I know it's summertime but get indoors into the AC and grab the chicken noodle soup! I came for the chicken parmigiana panini but as I waited about EIGHT different orders of soup were picked up. I don't want to miss out on a movement so I bought a cup too! Imagine my surprise to discover that a friendly affordable and tasty lunch spot is just a block or so behind my house! Located in an office building directly across the street from Trader Joe's, this unassuming cafe is much more than it seems. Not just a lunch counter. The couple who own and operate this sandwich shop have an understanding of a modern menu and enjoy playing with flavor combinations. They also grasp that a restaurant focused on a lunch rush must pay attention to what they charge, so most meals will be around $10. This includes their best selling crab and grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread. Oh my! If a sandwich isn't what you need they offer two soups each day- corn chowder and a rotation of other soups. I tried and enjoyed their cream of crab and had a delicious sample of the chowder. My next visit will be for a salad, as the list is extensive and I can see the creativity in the ingredients. The dining area is spare, but comfy enough. I'm guessing that most of the customers take their food to go. We opted to eat there and were entertained by the owner's young daughter. I asked her if she was a waitress and was told, "no, I'm not in school yet. This is my house and you are guests!" Then I was invited to meet her daughter, a well loved babydoll who apparently loves to twirl. Very sweet! A little pricey for a store that really didn't have a whole lot of options. I got an iced coffee and it was hot coffee poured over some ice so it was more "room temp" coffee. Decent taste, just not iced like you would expect. They also only accept cash until you hit a certain price range and since covid, I feel like no one just has a few bucks in their pocket. There were also lots of empty boxes of snacks they offer but didn't have. read more

I wouldn't have noticed Rox Cafe was there without the parking lot signs but I'm so glad I did! Ordered a Chicken Parmesan Panini for $5.95. Not only was it steaming hot, fresh and delicious but it was HUGE. They also wrapped it in foil so it's easy to takeaway. Paired with a bottled drink and cold water and I was a happy camper. This cool spot is operated by a husband and wife. The morning that I stopped in for a sandwich he was there by himself. Although it was a little busy he was professional and attentive. Just went back for a third time and got another greek salad with chicken-- I am as happy as I can be. Such a filling salad (with a lot of chicken) and all the veggies were fresh. The food was delicious, the place was clean and comfortable, and the owner was extremely friendly and engaging with my kids. He gave us information about events in December including Pizza & Pasta Night, Stir Fry Night, and Gingerbread House Decorating. This is a bit out of the way for me, but if I were closer I would be here a lot! I did have some trouble finding the location. I ordered the Balsamic chicken sandwich, curried chicken sandwich, and mozzarella and chicken salad for delivery. 30 minutes before delivery was scheduled I got a call from them saying they are very sorry but they will be late, which I told them was not a problem. They were only 8 minutes late but I really appreciated that they called with a heads up. They even put in two free huge and delicious cookies as a way of saying sorry. Anyways, the food was was delicious. My favorite was the balsamic chicken sandwich. Seriously, a must try. It's finals week and this gave me sustenance, so that I could pretend like I was using my time wisely to study. Oh and they forgot to give me salad dressing for my salad which I hadn't noticed since that was going to be the next day's meal but they called back 20 minutes after delivering the food to say that they will be back to drop it off. We ordered a cup of corn chowder to share and he very graciously offered us samples of the homemade split pea soup. Not being a fan of peas, I was skeptical, but it was delicious! He told us all about the freshness of the food and was very helpful when I had to order certain things differently from the menu due to diet restrictions. The dinning area is no frills, very clean and modern. We were very pleasantly surprised with a sample desert to try at the end of our meals. No skimping on the amount of food either.
