I need to update this review. Sandy's company is indeed as good as the others say it is! After she saw my 1 star review, she realized that we had had a miscommunication about the baseboard and she reached out to me directly to try to make amends. She offered to do a deep cleaning of my apartment and she even made an exception to come out to Queens to do it, even though she doesn't usually service Queens. The apartment was in very bad shape and she made it look fantastic. The tub was completely black with mold and it now looks brand new. She is so meticulous and on top of everything! I feel like she and her team really went above and beyond - they cleaned the AC unit, the windows, places where I did not expect her to clean, and she organized all of our clutter (but not in a bad way - I can still find everything!) And she's super communicative. For several days prior to the cleaning, she kept in touch with me to make sure that everything was ready for the cleaning (e.g., cleaning supplies and clearing clogged drains). During the cleaning itself she made sure to text me with any questions she had. She even put up with a little snafu we had when she arrived and the doorman had apparently lost the key to the apartment. She was very patient and understanding and she was so communicative the whole time! I'm really impressed with Sandy and her team. I am now so sorry that I wrote a poor review because clearly it was a miscommunication the first time around! read more

Do not ever use Yes! Cleaning Service. I repeat: do not EVER use Yes! Cleaning Service. I just had my second cleaning from them. First cleaning was great (except for them throwing out part of my sink). Second cleaning was disastrous. They rearranged all my furniture. All of it. Nothing... I mean NOTHING, is in the right place. Even my personal organizer in my closet is now organized in a completely different way. I have all my bank statements and shit on my windowsill! Why is that shit on the windowsill? I mean, even very big things in my apartment have been moved. It was just Ming! How did he move all this shit single-handedly??? What, does Ming think he knows better than I where to put my furniture? Did my apartment have bad Feng Shui or something? What am I going to do now, other than write a Yelp review? Call the police? Who is going to fucking help me move my dresser and my massive 6 foot tall IKEA mirror back into their original positions? I am not going to rest until my last breath: I am going to curse Yes! Yes! Cleaning was recommended by another startup founder-- and I couldn't be happier with its service. Sandy, in particular, is a rock-star. She's incredibly hard-working, thoughtful, and genuinely wants everything to be as clean and organized as possible. Along with the mini hot chocolate cups at City Bakery, she may be the best kept secret in NYC. Okay, she's probably second to the hot chocolate (they're MINI hot chocolate cups!)-- but hey, it's a very close second. Originally we had her come by the apartment (often with a partner) over the weekend once a month, but we found the service so great we're now working with Yes! Cleaning every two weeks-- not to mention I've hired her to clean my personal apartment as well. Seriously. Sandy cares-- and it shows. She even has taken the time to visit our site-- and complains about any bugs or issues that come up. Maybe we can hire a Yes! Cleaning for our website? Have referred Yes! Oddly, cleaning services are hard to come by in New York. Yes Cleaning was responsive to my call (instructed me to email description of place and size to them), gave me quote within 24 hrs, and accommodated my original time slot request even though they were initially booked. Sandy even asked for some photos of the place so they could come prepared and know exactly what was involved. Ming showed up precisely at 10 am on the dot and called my cell phone as soon as he was outside. The space hadn't been cleaned in about four years (just moved in) and Ming estimated five hrs - it took him well over six and a half but the rate didn't change. Nothing shady either - Ming took a check written out to Yes Cleaning. We got the "deep clean" which included fridge/oven/stove and he even moved the oven and cleaned behind it.... So yeah, definitely recommend. read more

I highly recommend Ming, the gentleman who works for this service. They were available with short notice. Ming showed up early, cleaned for four hours, and my place was perfect. I had moved into a disaster and had only been able to bring myself to scrubbing the toilet and shower so I could use them. As I was leaving for work, Ming was moving all of the furniture - even the fridge and stove - to clean behind them. For a deep clean, I can't recommend him enough. The cost was $160 (they charge by the hour, minimum 4 hours) and I tipped him $40 - it was that good. I like cleaning my own house, but this was absolutely grueling. We called them the night before we needed cleaning ( because we had exterminators that day) and Sandy was so great and helpful, she got us an appointment right away. They were punctual and very meticulous with he cleaning. They really mean it when they say "deep cleaning" ! They were also extremely polite and had a very positive attitude. We have had three cleanings and each cleaning was wonderful. They are very considerate and very thorough. You don't feel like they are trying to get to the next place and they do a truly careful job. I chose Yes! after reading the glowing reviews here. Thanks Yelp. I used to like to clean my apartment myself but I think those days are over after having Yes! (Susie) come here Saturday. I needed someone to clean my Viking Range. This is a large stainless steel range that I allowed to get very dirty inside and out. This is not an easy job. I spoke with Sandy and she sent over Susie who arrived on time and basically kicked me out of the kitchen and told me to go relax. I returned an hour or so later and was stunned at what a fantastic job she did with the stove and even straightened up the entire kitchen and wiped down the cabinets which accumulated a lot of grease. I could see my reflection in the porcelain range top. I could not be more pleased. I am so happy to post this review of a company that happens to be in my neighborhood. Have been using Yes Cleaning for the past month and half now on a bi weekly basis and pretty happy with the work. Susie has been on time ( huge thing for me) , trustworthy and done a solid job so far. My place is actually relatively clean but just cluttered since I have a kid. I have CCTV and cams throughout my entire home bc I am psycho and used to have a nanny. Susie has done a solid job and been respectful of my home. They are extremely professional. I called a week in advance in order to schedule a cleaning of my 800 ft apt. We set up an appointment time and price. We confirmed the night before and I was given the name of the service professional who would handle my apt:Susie. Well, Susie arrived promptly. She looked at each room and then told me the order in which each room would be cleaned. How she was able to remove the grease and grime from the stove is beyond me. She cleaned the countertop, stainless steel appliances, window sill and floor. She even cleaned and organized under the counter. It's sparkling new and smells amazing. It smells clean:not overpowering just clean. She scrubbed the tub and shower. The entire bathroom was mopped cleaned. The bedroom mirrors are windexed shined and the tv entertainment stand was dusted. Under the bed was swept and all items organized and tidy. She swept through the entryway and dining area. Susie gets a platinum star. She was quiet and went about her business of making my place look brand new! Yes, YES Cleaning Service is on point. You will not be disappointed. Say YES to YES! - these guys are awesome! Jason came over last night with his rolling bag about to burst at the seems with his quiver of magic cleaning supplies and got down to business right away. He seemed like a very honest guy, so I felt OK when about 1hr after he arrived I had to go out. I left Jason the money+tip and hoped he wasn't going to do a half-ass job, or rob me clean. I'm not paranoid, but I do think twice before leaving a stranger in my place with everything I own. When I returned with my gf 3 hours later Jason was still there cleaning away with his nose to the grindstone!! As we snooped around the apt I was sure I could eat the take out Chinese I had just ordered off of any surface in the place. (Shout out to Suzy's) Jason didn't ignore any speck of dust or dirt in the place and left everything sparkling! Overall, I'm really happy I went with YES! This is my first Yelp review, and I have to do it to give high praises to the service from Yes! Cleaning. My daughter (NYU student) picked up the keys for her first apartment in the East Village, and opened the door to a filthy, mess. The previous tenants hadn't cleaned and the place was grimy. We called/emailed several Yelp recommended cleaning services and found them too busy or too expensive. Our really nice cleaning man is just out the door and I feel that I absolutely need to leave a review, this service was truly exceptional. I called on Sunday to book a cleaning for our 2 bedroom, they were very accommodating with time, came today right on the dot (as opposed to other unreliable services where you keep wondering if they were gonna show), and after spending 3 hours here, I have never seen the apartment more clean. Here're the highlights: - An hour alone was spent in the bathroom and that really counts! - For the kitchen, on top of cleaning everything, he even pulled out the refrigerator and cleaned the back of it! And it really needed the cleaning. - He decided that the vacuum wouldn't clean the carpet well enough, so he brushed it. And I've never seen it look more clean. - He arranged everything nicely after the cleaning, and it's nice that he does that so you don't have to rearrange after the cleaning service leaves! It really was exceptional service, and he was so proud of it and wanted to show me everything! We definitely tipped way more than we normally would have, but it was well worth it! Also, there's a discount for 1st time clients! Too bad we won't be able to get that after this time, but we think it's absolutely worth it to have them come once a month! read more

Recent bad experience. Scheduled a "move-in cleaning / post renovation". I had a painter in the apartment finishing his work so I realize it was not ideal conditions to clean but the areas that could have been cleaned (refrigerator, kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity) were not cleaned well at all. I gave Jason an extra $50.00 due to the condition of my apartment but I am totally disappointed. My wife and I spend hours cleaning the areas that should have been spotless. Ming, who was a violinist in China, totally cleaned up and re-arranged my furniture with care. Almost like a feng-sui! I gifted him a brand new Chinese music CD, which he apparently liked a lot. I was going to do just one deep cleaning ($160; but they sent two ppl and worked longer), but I am considering having them come once a month. i stopped using Yes Cleaning 3 years ago as I left NY for grad school, and only recently i had moved back to the city. after i settled into my new apt, i decided to try a few other cleaning companies, thinking that they are probably all the same (...also because i forgot the name of Yes Cleaning). BIG MISTAKE! the ones i tried are either way too sloppy with the cleaning or difficult to work with (no service-oriented attitude, or hard to schedule appointments). thank god i had previously left a review for Yes Cleaning, that i was able to dig into my review history and reconnect with them. this time, i talked to Sandy to book my appointment, and she was so sweet and accommodating! i got an appointment the very next day. they had clearly expanded their team (good for them!), but the service and cleaning quality is still top notch. Christian came to clean my apartment and he did a fantastic job. the price is still very reasonable. i could not be happier and right away, i set up a bi-monthly cleaning schedule to keep my apt sparkly clean. thank you thank you thank you!! read more

I am very, very picky about cleaners. I typically clean myself because very few cleaners do a good job and I feel like I waste money paying them. Like the other reviews said, Susie was awesome - methodical, thorough, courteous and professional. Susie said it best - some cleaners like to clean (she does) - others do it simply to make income. I have a 1bd/1ba 750 sq ft apt. I am a clean person, but wanted someone to come in and give it a good cleaning especially the baseboards and floors. It was about 3 hours for $120. I also tipped Susie for her work and attitude. Sandy the women I corresponded with was also great. I recommend calling them or going via Yelp (very responsive) versus submitting a request on their website to book an appt. Oh, and you can make requests from Suzie - I asked her to be sure to scrub the sinks and bathtub. I hate it when cleaners just spray stuff and then wipe with a towel. read more

I wrote the review giving five stars below, but I am amending my star rating. Yes! does a great job cleaning, but the second time I hired them, our cleaner accidentally turned on the gas when he was cleaning the stove knobs. I had left the apartment while he was there, and when I came back a few hours later, I could smell gas all the way out in the hall. I ran inside and held my breath while I aired out the windows. Luckily, I didn't have any pets, or the situation could have ended extraordinarily poorly. I was very upset about the situation. It was only superficially clean when I got the place and she made it sparkling clean so I can feel comfortable bringing my stuff in.
