Way over hyped reviews. Very limited menu. No chips and salsa. I ordered three tacos. Two came with diced tomatoes and one came with sliced tomatoes, weird. Biggest drawback is the smoke. They don't have a vent for the grill so all of the smoke is in the restaurant and my clothes smell like food. I hate that. I will not be back. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. So many good choices..a dine in taco truck basically. Very courteous nice staff and the food was great! Lady who took my family's order was nice to custom a torts for my picky kids. This is our third visit, I see comments about customer service from others but I have never had a problem, the young lady who took my order the first time and the owner was very friendly both the other times we saw him. He was happy to help with napkins sauces utensils any request really. But most importantly (for me) the food is amazing and has good flavor. As a California native it can be a challenge to find good flavorful Mexican food here and this does it. I loved the sopes and carne asada tacos from my first visit. On our third I tried the birria tacos and my kid had the waffle sticks and we both left pleased! read more

The birria tacos and ramen is so delicious from here! We have ordered a few times, and the last time, our ramen was not packaged with our pickup. When we called, the gentleman apologized right away and offered us free tacos with the ramen, which we couldn't say no to! Simple mistake and not holding it against them, it happens. I was craving Churros badly so I decided to look around and found this beautiful little restaurant. The restaurant itself is beautiful along with all the art on the walls and the cute little chairs and tables to sit down and wait. The service was perfect and the Churros were soooooo good I wanted to go back immediately to get more. Went here this morning with a friend and definitely recommend for authentic Mexican food that can also be prepared vegetarian friendly. They have a cooler with normal bottled and canned beverages. I opted instead for the horachta which was yummy. I had a bean and avocado tostada. They do use cilantro and onion, so if you're not a fan please let them know in advance. I loved their hot sauce, not for those who are looking for a mild. My friend had the flautas, a good choice if looking for a bigger portion. This is not a big meal kind of place, more a la carte. They charge an extra price next to the tax for inflation charge. This is misleading and dishonest, inflation is just raising the price the customer can see on the menu not a hidden percentage. The food was good but sevice was uninviting and the hidden fee is disrespectful. read more

Came here on the recommendation of a local foodie group and was blown away! We got the esquites, tacos al pastor, barbacoa sopes, and the plantain dessert. Everything was just delicious. Family owned and operated, excellent street food, best I've had in the Springs, restaurant is immaculate. They were friendly and explained every thing on the menu. The food that we got was good. The portion size was small. Items we got had extra charges that were not listed. My daughter got the mini pancakes there are three to choose from -she picked fruit and fruit was extra. Nowhere did it say that but on my receipt. I got tostadas only chicken of the meat options were the price listed for tostadas the other meat option had extra charge again not listed anywhere but on the receipt. That's strike two And at the end there was a inflation charge listed after the taxes. Strike three. List your prices and be done with it. I don't like that sneaky nickel and dime. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The food was not worth $60 at all. This kind of food for a meal for 2 people is worth $25-30. Over priced for non flavorful Mexican food. The pictures on their page do not do their food justice. It's more like a catfish. I was so disappointed because I was excited to eat here. None of our food was good at all. To add on to it, the workers seemed frustrated and we heard them yelling at each other during our meal. Save your money & go to a nice restaurant. This place is a joke. read more

We had high hopes for this place and went in for lunch at 11am. Not terribly crowded yet. Man, were we disappointed. First, we spent over $100 at this place and had to ask multiple (four) times for the drinks we paid for (palomas, margaritas, and fresh fruit juice). When the drinks did come out, one of them went to the wrong table, even with table numbers visible. Thank goodness that customer was honest and said she didn't order the drink (and let us take it). Furthermore, we realized a day later that we never even got the appetizer we paid for. The guy at the register was really friendly, but that's about as far as the customer service went. On top of that, there's not a single vent in the entire open-concept kitchen-dining area so we smelled heavily of grease, smoke, and onions when we left and it lasted all day. The taco shells were cold (true authentic Mexican food has at least a warmed corn/flour shell) and the flavor of the dish was mediocre at best. We've been to many other Mexican food places in a four mile radius that were cheaper with better service and food. Truly disappointing. We really wanted to enjoy this place but it was a disappointment at every turn. Maybe they were having a bad day? Really frustrating for the price and experience. read more

My husband ordered the torta cubana, I ordered the vegetarian chilindrina (they will replace any meat with refried beans) and we both also had the elote preparado (roasted corn on cob with toppings) I live 20 miles north but will make it a point to return often- it's worth the drive and I love supporting local businesses. read more
