This family home light display was started by Jim and Jackie McGonigle over 30 years ago. The tradition is now carried on by their grown daughter Jennifer McGonigle-Collins who is a teacher at South Plantation high school. The one acre display is most well known for its 101 Dalmatians but the most touching part of it may be the military tribute in honor of Jennifer's father who served in the marine corps. One entire room of the home is stuffed floor to ceiling with Christmas decorations and you can see it through the big picture window. In the front of the house is a mailbox so children can send their letters to Santa. This display recently competed on the television show the Great Christmas Light Fight on ABC. They lost to the Sablich family on Wale Harbor drive in Ft. Lauderdale. This is a more old fashioned, low tech display. The wow displays of today have computerized LED lights set to music. You won't find any of that here but the display is very charming with its handmade Disney characters and cute inflatables. They also don't skimp on lights but they are all on the ground. A plus to visiting this display is parking was a breeze. It was not as crowded or as congested as some of the house displays I have visited. The acre homes in this part of Plantation are laid out spaciously. Thank you to the McGonigle family for delighting generations of children in the Plantation community.

Merry Christmas! This house is so lovely and a window display of HESS trucks and the electric candle lite dolls oh it's just truly so nostalgic. Their decorations are clearly someone who has been collecting over the years and it brought back many memories. Thank you for doing this

You have to reserve date and time on their app : Christmasin the acres, $10 per vehicle which includes a parking spot and free hot chocolate. Service: every volunteer/personnel we encountered were kind and hospitable. From parking to the serving of hot chocolate they were nice and attentive. Aesthetic: the light show was IMPRESSIVE. This is what has made its rounds on social media. There is another section called the North Pole that is made up of Christmas inflatables/decor. That section was pretty cool and drew my toddler in. There was also timed snow and bubble "shows". However, the placement/locations of these machines need to be thought through. People would crowd around and in front of the machines and would congest the main area to walk through to get to and from the entrances of the food, hot chocolate and inflatable section. Having personnel do crowd management would be really helpful and lessen the congestion. Cleanliness: the porter potties were disgusting. The church does not have indoor use of the their bathrooms so they have porter potties which is fine but it was disgustingly. And while porter potties tend to have a rep of being filthy I had just never seen them be this bad. There was no toilet paper urine everywhere and no personnel to clean up or at least do crowd control in this section. Efficiency: reservation through their app is GENIUS! it limits the amount of people and insures your "spot" . Overall, it was a nice family outing and the community enjoys it.

It is by reservation only and to make reservations, you have to download the app and book it on there. When we went, it was $10 per car load and parking was plentiful and organized. It is a walk through experience not a drive through experience. They did a great job with the lights and decor. There was a foam machine to replicate fake snow. There was a section with Christmas inflatibles. There was a hot chocolate stand. They had the music and the lights go in sync with each other. My toddler was amazed and in awe, so were we. If my family and I didn't move away, we would visit this place yearly and make it a tradition!

Shocked they…read moreare still in business after advertising a false product, insulting and harassing customers... After the gut-wrenching year of 2020, we wanted to bring joy to our home at Christmas. We contacted David at Christmas Decor to decorate a tree for the foyer. David provided pictures of trees and we chose the one we liked and paid him to create it (as well as construct and take it down) -- for total fee of $2,800. On the day of the install David sent "designers" with ornaments that did not look ANYTHING like what we selected (totally different color scheme). Point blank: it was NOT the tree paid for. We contacted David IMMEDIATELY to fix this. He once again sent "designers" -- who showed up two hours late, were confused, lacking direction and unhelpful. The tree still wasn't what we asked for. We contacted David and asked him to remove it and refund our money. Rather than assist, he refused.... becoming hostile and sending rude and unprofessional texts. We had no choice but to take down the tree ourselves... and to our horror discovered the ornaments were USED and DAMAGED -- scratched, broken, and improperly wired causing a safety hazard. The quality was INEXCUSABLE. After talking to more people I keep hearing horror stories about David and this company... wish I would've known from the beginning. STAY AWAY!!!

They even weren't afraid to walk around and show me the items that I was looking for while I was there. This location was overflowing with items that ranged from little yard decorations to animatronics over ten feet tall! Being able to see some of these items in person was pretty cool. If I had the money, I would have been walking out with something that wouldn't fit in my apartment because of how awesome the items they sell are! They have any costume you can think of, as well as face paint and accessories to transform you into anything you can think of. Prices are decent but I did find a few of their items online for cheaper, however they usually have a coupon for 20% off any item that is reusable each time you would go.

The entire store is decked out with some amazing halloween merch that ranges from keychains to massive animatronics that shoot up to the sky when they sense someone near them. The layout of this spirit is much like the others and very easy to navigate. They have a really cool setup of a subway system and the "passengers" are different creepy animatronics they have that they are currently selling. I love that every year they have new items and I think this is one of the best years. The staff here was very friendly and helpful and even pointed out some of the new items that people were buying the most. I loved some of the new Terrifier merch and even bought a door cover for my place because it was just too cool to pass up! Prices definitely vary but for the smaller stuff and some items to hang around the house/workplace, they are very reasonable. You will definitely walk out of here with something, just like I did!

Upon walking in you can see that they are still getting ready with all of their decorations as well as their costumes, animatronics and many other things because a few of the animatronic sections of their display were empty with signs saying coming soon. The theme this year is creepy carnival and I love how they are able to capture such a wonderful Essence and bring it to life with some amazing animatronics. This location already has many costumes out and it ranges from Chucky to Friday the 13th to the nightmare before Christmas and everything in between. They also have costumes that are more adult rated as well as couples costumes. They even offer a little wall with many different shirts, many of which are new to this year! The place could be a little cleaner however what they slightly lack for and cleanliness due to them just recently opening and still getting everything set up for a smooth final run, they make up for in some amazing staff. The girl working the register was super friendly and working with multiple people all at one time while being able to answer every single question! I'll definitely come back here in a little bit when everything is up and running. The prices for everything are reasonable ranging from a couple dollars for some cool cups to a couple hundred dollars for some wild

The ribbon wrapping area is in the rear and still under construction with more products and pricing coming soon. Met with a competent manager who explained the origins and concept of the business. Prices seemed a bit steep for the glass blown ornaments at $24.99, but the red thin glass balls were reasonable at $14.99 - also these were the larger size. Every single person I came in contact with was diligent and smiling. Some of the displays were huge and would require the front living room of a mini mansion.
