I had my brows done over 20 years ago and loved it. I wanted to get it done again and researched a new place. Where to start. . . First and foremost, Ashley is AMAZING at what she does. She is incredibly skilled and a kind person to boot; truly a pleasure to spend an hour with. She's got a light hand that makes this uncomfortable procedure breeze by without so much as a wince. I, like many others, was a pure terror to my eyebrows. . . Over plucking? Yep! Lazy shaving? Yep! Horrible attacks with manicure scissors? Sure thing! That all coupled with being a natural blonde left them looking like the saddest excuse for eyebrows you'd ever see. Despite loving makeup application, the most frustrating thing for me was trying to get something even resembling two even eyebrows on my face. When I did manage, I'd end up accidentally wiping them off mid-day and generally would walk aroud 99% of the time without them. I have been thinking about this for some time, however it being my face I was terrified of a horrible experience that would leave me worse off than simply having my current mess. I finally decided after seeing a picture of myself something had to be done immediately. I poked around and stumbled on Ashley's reviews. There were not as many as the other providers listed, but all of hers were 5 stars and a woman with blonde hair made mention of how good hers looked. I was sold! I called, booked, and OH. MY. GOD. I am SO happy I did! If you have any hesitation about following through with this for whatever reason, I hope this puts your nerves at ease. I'm only on day one and to be honest, they look quite frightening at the moment due to their darkness. Of course this is to be expected until day 2-3, yet even with them being so bold, the color and shape could not be more perfect. My only regret is not having before pictures to share. I am a swimmer, have been all my life and up until now have swum virtually eyebrow-less for 53 years. I have naturally light hair and up until now have painted on my eyebrows daily. I noticed while on vacation in Sicily this past summer how odd I look without them painted on in pictures while at the beach. My hairdresser, Jackie, at Vince Smith in battery park city had her eyebrows done by Ashley and they looked so natural. I have been thinking about doing this for about 18 months, just sorry I didn't have it done before my trip to Sicily. Now three less items to pack in the makeup kit and even without makeup on, I look like I do. It hurt even less than having them tweezed and I am not one for any kind of pain. I was a little scared before I went, but Ashley is such a calm and skilled person, she put me right a ease. Also, the fact that she is studying at a medical school in Aurora, CO was a big plus in my book. I would highly recommend her to anyone with eyebrow issues. I love the work Ashley did on my eyebrows! Before the procedure, I had little to no eyebrows; people thought I was sick without applying pencil to my eyebrows. After, I left with a natural and full brow. The procedure was painless and fairly quick. I also went for the touch up session a month later because I did have some peeling, which is common for any tattooing-- and it was well worth it. After the touch up appointment, my eyebrows held perfectly and I don't have to pencil them at all. Ashley is so sweet & great at what she does! I went back on Saturday for the follow up appointment (upper eyeliner) and again I felt no pain what so ever. I wanted my line just a little thicker. I was done within an hour, I still cannot believe it. Ashley did *amazing* work on my eyes, eyebrows and lips! I could not be happier with them!! EYEBROWS: I have very sparse eyebrows so many years ago I decided to have them tattooed on. The tattoos were NOT done by Ashley and they were done with a standard tattoo gun/needle. I was pretty happy with my eyebrows when I first got them, although they wore off fairly quickly and unevenly. They never really had the "natural look". They didn't look tattooed, but they did look penciled. In July 2013 I found Ashley and WOW, she is AMAZING! She spent enough time with me to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. She numbed my brows and painted on a line with a mixture of colors that wouldn't fade into the reddish-brown color the previous tattoo (she mixed the perfect color for my skin). Instead of using a gun, she worked with a tiny brush with metal bristles and used tiny strokes to make a soft and natural brow look. The whole process took a little over an hour. I probably could have gone out in public afterwards although my eyebrows were pretty dark and a little red. Within a day or two, they were healed enough to look good and by a week they were gorgeous! So beautifully shaped and naturally colored! I am now rockin' the eyebrows I've always wanted! The best part is that I don't have to spend any time penciling them in anymore and I never have to worry I am going to rub them off by accident :) LIPS: About a year later I decided that I would get lipliner done, too. I have some slightly blue-ish veins on the edges of my lips, so Ashley suggested to add a little orange to the color. At first I cringed - orange is a terrible color for me. But I TRUST HER COMPLETELY so I said ok even though I was still very nervous on the inside. For a few days, I looked a bit clownish. There's no getting around that. But WOW when the color faded it looked so soft, natural and beautiful! A few months later I got the rest of my lips filled in (we altered the color slightly because the "meat" of my lips don't have the blueish color). It still looks completely natural and now I never wear anything but clear gloss on my lips now. They just always look healthy and young! (I'm 44). EYES: My eyelashes are very sparse, too, so when I got up the nerve, I asked Ashley to do some work on my eyes. She suggested an eyelash enhancement since I was clearly hesitant about going "full on" with eyeliner. Over the course of three sessions she did an eyelash enhancement on my top lid which was so subtle yet made a huge difference! She then did an eyelash enhancement on my bottom lid - also very subtle but strangely impactful, and then I finally got up the nerve to get thin eyeliner on the top lid. Just a little bit of pigment adds so much to my face. It's really amazing! And still so natural. BOTTOM LINE: I wish I didn't wait so long to do this. I don't wake up in the morning looking like I have makeup on, I wake up looking alive and refreshed. I never look like I'm wearing makeup - that's Ashley's magic! When I consider how much money I've given to Sephora over the years, this is a total bargain! ASHLEY IS A MASTER OF HER ART and she will make you more beautiful!!! Definitely one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I used to not care about my brows almost at all, especially since I had bangs that covered them most of the time. But deciding to make a change and actually taking care of this part of my face that had been so neglected turned out to be an amazing choice. I'm also so happy to have the procedure done with Ashley instead of a salon that advertised suspiciously low prices on deal sites or one that would've charged a few hundred bucks more with similar or not even as good results. What I got is natural but definitely visibly different brows and eyeliner than what I had before, and for someone who's active in fitness training, having some built-in makeup on without worrying about smudging it or having to constantly take it off and put it back on after a workout is such a big relief. I had my initial procedure on both brows and upper and lower eyeliner done on February 20 and touchup on April 2. It was mostly painless, and during the touchup I was so relaxed (although also tired that day) I actually fell asleep. However, the first time it did hurt and irritate a little when work was being done to my liner; brows were largely painless. My eyes were numb and swollen afterward, and I felt like tearing up perhaps because of the ointment and the irritation, but following the after-care steps made life easier. Working with Ashley was also very smooth, which I enjoyed just as much as the results themselves. We'd had a phone consultation in January first as she wasn't in town, which made me feel more comfortable with proceeding. Since I had almost no idea what shape or color I wanted, I just went with her suggestion and it worked out great. I felt all my questions were answered, steps clarified, and with no unwanted attention or upselling. The studio itself is clean and quiet (I went on Saturdays both times and maybe the meditation center wasn't open), making it a comfortable environment for someone who's potentially nervous. What happened after the procedure was nothing unexpected based on what Ashley had told me. The first few days after the brows were a bit scarily dark and unnatural, but it faded. Then I lost a lot of brow color a week or so after the initial procedure, but it was expected. The liner held on to the color a lot better. I found myself still filling my brows in the month between my appointments since most of the color started disappearing (a lot). But the touchup solidified it a lot better and now both my brows and liner look great and completely natural. I'll still need to get my brows threaded to get rid of unwanted hair, but it's a lot easier now since I could go to any salon and just have the technician thread around the color I already have, or even tweeze at home myself as it's easy to follow the tattooed-in color and not worry about drawing a shape first. I'm really glad I did this, and can now only hope the results last for many years. read more

Ashley did an awesome job with my permanent eyeliner! I'd always wanted to get it done but was skeptical about quality and wanted to make sure I had the right person. She is the right person! She's really professional and friendly and goes over everything with you. She listens well and my results have been great. It's not a thick line (which some people may be looking for) but it darkens the lash base and makes me look more put together and awake all the time. I was really nervous about getting my eyebrows done permanently but I am SO HAPPY I did this!!!! When you first arrive, there are typical forms to fill out to disclose health history. The office is very clean and quiet and I felt comfortable the whole time. She is amazingly sweet and definitely patient with getting the shape right. She does the shape first just to get an idea of how you want the arch to look and where you want the brow to start and end, but don't get flustered because it won't look as dark or harsh as what she draws on. It really is just to get the shape. Once she is done it looks really natural. There was literally NO PAIN. Zero. She uses a numbing cream and it really works. She had to tweeze a little to get the right shape and that actually hurt more than the actual procedure for some reason. She gives you a little kit to take care of everything once you get home and she scheduled the one month touch up appoint right there as well. (She's only in NYC once a month) Hands down I'd recommend her to anyone. I barely had eyebrows. This wasn't a fill-in job, she basically gave me eyebrows. Ashley is amazing!!! My first visit was on 2/20/2016, for my consultation and procedure. I walked in with zero eyebrows, and had no idea of what shape, color, or thickness I wanted my eyebrows to be. Ashley being the professional that she is, was able to create the eyebrows that I always had imagined in my head. Not only was the color on point, but Ashley was also able to create a shape that complimented my face. I was afraid that the procedure would be painful, but I felt no pain whatsoever during the entire time. In less than hour and half, my face was completely transformed. After a number of years debating back and forth, I pulled the trigger and had permanent eyeliner done. I performed a ton of research as I always do with any big decision and found Ashley. She is the consummate professional. Ashley is truly skilled at her craft. Ideally, you want someone calm, patient, knowledgeable, able to answer all your concerns and questions, has excellent reviews of course, meticulous with attention-to-detail, and present (my emails were always timely replied). Oh, and normal : ) I found all these qualities in Ashley. I regret not having this done earlier. My main motivation was not having to remove waterproof, ineffective-waterproof, that is, eyeliner every night - the tugging is horrible for your skin; it likely leads to further skin damage, including wrinkles, sooner in life. And how nice is it to wake up, shower and leave the house. The initial visit left me slightly nervous as it wasn't as noticeable as I expected, but Ashley did inform me of that in advance, but the touch-up visit was amazing. All about an hour.
