I'm very disappointed with my experience at Soft Touch Car Wash. I paid $36 for the Gold Plan expecting my car to come out clean and somewhat decently spotless, especially after the recent blizzard. Unfortunately, the car still had visible spots of dirt and even lingering residual spots from the ice and snow in several areas. For that price, I expected a much more thorough job. On top of that, the experience itself was frustrating. A woman cut in front of both my car and another vehicle in line, which was aggravating and poorly handled. It left a bad impression overall. Not going to post a photo of the lady who cut in line, since I have some decency, but if you encounter the person's car plate, don't let them push you around. I WISH I COULD GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR!!!!I have been supporting this car wash for over 20 years and after what I have been experiencing over the past two months, I felt it is time to let other customers know. I am going to use bullet points to point out many things as most people would not want to read an extremely wrong review. Maybe the owner will respond, or better yet, come to work, run the business or higher a manager. The carwash was supposed to open at 8:00 am, I was the first car on the line at 7:30 am. Workers showed up about 15 minutes before and many went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. By 8:10 am there were about 15 cars on the line with no idea of why they did not open yet. The person in charge Noel drove up at 8:05am, parked his car on the sidewalk as he thinks he owns the street. Why not find a spot like everyone else. Instead, he blocks the people walking by parking on the sidewalk. See attached photo. At 8:15 am I walked inside and asked when they would open. No response, Noel just stared, asked again no response. One worker said they had to heat things up. I said it would have been nice to just let everyone on the line know what was happening instead of ignoring them. A lot of customers were very upset. They knew it was cold and should have arrived much earlier to be ready for the Saturday rush. After much pressure they finally opened at 8:20 am. If I did not complain, I am sure it would have been much later. I have 2 cars and pay for the monthly exterior wash for both cars. Many others and I were not able to use the benefits of the monthly plan as they have been closed for several days in the past few months. I think they were closed for one week straight at the end of January. I was told the manager Carlos quit and I do not ever see the owner there otherwise I would ask what is going on. Carlos was there for many years and was very nice. He probably got fed up with the way the business is run. Noel has a horrible attitude and does not care about what happens, he appears to be the person in charge. He only smiles or talks to attractive young woman. If not, he is stone faced. If he worked for me, I would have fired him a long time ago. The only reason they appear to do business is that there are no other carwashes anywhere nearby in Bay Ridge. It is sad because all the other workers appear to be nice and try to help. Workers are given no direction, so they do not work with speed or purpose. Plan to stand on the line for around 1 hour, especially on weekends. I encourage everyone who has had the same experience to write in and tell others what you think. This is the second time I go to this car wash and so here goes my second complaint! The workers in the front are so RUDE! I drove in and the guy starts making angry faces telling me to move back then move forward...I spoke to him in Spanish and he still didn't explain They charged me $25 for EXTERIOR ONLY and my car is small! Then did a horrible job drying it so since I had to pull out MY OWN towels to dry my car? Guess who didn't get a tip? Rude service and disrespectful staff! My rear passenger side was not even cleaned on the exterior! I did not notice it until I arrived home. I called the car wash and the cashier told me to bring it in and they will do it at no charge. I asked if I could go to the front of the line and the cashier said no, I would have to wait in the line...ok, fine. The manager then told me I would have to pay full price for the "re-do." He said it was my responsibility to make sure my car was properly cleaned before I left the premises. Funny, I thought it was their job to make sure my car was cleaned the right way the first time. they dont even deserve the one star given, i was disrespected and cussed out daily by the manager, when I would speak to the business consultant or the owner about any issues I was having the issue would be dismissed. I worked in extremely stressful and in a degrading environment to the point I would cry physical tears before 10:30am. In the end of my employment here the business consultant basically told me no matter what the manger does he wouldn't be disciplined nor would his behavior be discussed with him but in turn I would just be let go. Not to mention the owner himself called me on my day off to deliberately.lie to me as if I'm stupid saying not to come into work Monday because of a plumbing issue while the other cashier called to ask what happened they told her I was unable to come into work knowing it's a lie. I honestly already knew this was going to happen because everyone that works their is Hispanic or Latino and I'm not. Be careful going there whether it's for a job or just a car wash just like the people can't be trusted , neither can their machine half of the machines don't even work as they should they work when they want to , but they won't let you know that at the front. Where to start, not only did they damage my tire, which is cause enough to request a full refund as well as ask for repairs but the workers kept discussing tip before and after the wash. First off tip is voluntary and should never be brought up, secondly is based on service and not counting the damage to my car they didn't do the one thing I brought my car in for. To fully clean and remove the water from my rugs. They have a special machine for that and I had paid for the detail which they never did because they were arguing about a tip. Paid over $40 for a platinum car wash the interior was never touched. Told the manager after trying to find him only to be told to drive it around and just do it again. I've been going to Soft Touch for a number of years and the service has usually been​ ok. That said, my most recent visit was terrible. As my month-old car was coming out, I noticed that it had suffered a flat tire during the wash. Despite it being painfully obvious the tire was flat, none of the shop-workers said anything until I raised it as an issue. In fact​, a few of the workers walked away as I tried to show them the damage. The actual wash itself -- costing $25 -- looked half-done and I could see numerous specs on the car that had been missed. There was then confusion as they alerted another more senior member of staff, named Ramon, who after inspecting the tire, dipped back inside without any explanation​. To be fair, Ramon was nice. Eventually, I was told by Ramon that he'd drive to the nearest tire store about one block away and we would have it replaced. Once there, I organised a new tire. Although Soft Touch picked up the cost of the new tire, no one explained​ what happened (there was a giant gash in the back of the tire). It appears that it must have been an accident, but no one even apologized, and they still charged me for the wash. Further to that, I had to wait over an hour for the new tire to arrive (the tire shop was great for the record). Reading the poor reviews about this shop it's hard to argue that their care and due diligence​ was absent. This car wash needs to clean up its act, and fast. read more

This place is a lean, mean, cash washing speedy machine! The turnover of cars and SUVs in and out of this place is amazing! In much need to remove the little dusting of snow from my car, plus whatever salt residue was left behind, I opted this place since it was the closest to my boyfriend's house. Since the gas craze, this place was popping busy!! For a basic interior and exterior wash, plus a $2 charge for my SUV, it came out to $15 and somewhat change. This price is definitely more expensive than my usual go-to spot, but at least the guys here really REALLY dry your car off before leaving you flat to dry off another. Very well lit, and appears to be open late so your car looks like it just strolled off the showroom floor. read more

I went there and got the appointment for next day, and next morning, they said we are full of capacity and we can't take more cars for detail, we already got two. The car attendant comes out to tell me and the two cars in front of me that it's going to be even longer because he has to rewash the two cars that just cut the line ! Well I thought it was just me, I am a salesman by trade and observe the actions of others especially when I am buying a product or service. So I have been here before, last year the price for a basic car was with mats vacuumed was about $10 or $11 bucks. It was not the typical $5 or $6 wash exterior only that I was looking for, but it was for while so $10 was definitely a fair price for the service. A few weeks ago after the first snow fall of the season, I went back thinking the same $10 or $11 bucks plus tip ok $15 dollars. So when I am looking at the pricing chart stated and I dont see the price I was looking for, I am guessing that they just dont advertise the "basic" wash. So I went through, I get my receipt and over a $30.00 charge, there were no options offered as the owner states and wants you to believe they do the "assumptive close" and hit you with the top price and hope you just take it and move on. Well not me when I questioned the guy he told me that this price was for a full service wash which included the interior and vacuum. I told him I did not want it and gave me the next level down $21.00 about. I dont know if that was the bottom price but the car was on the rail and said screw it. I dont know if this is under new management but as far as I am concerned I will never give this place an ounce of business. I think their practice is deceptive and I dont see them staying in business much longer. (But you never know) Advice to management: Reread these reviews sir. Over 90% are telling you that something is wrong. Anyway this is NYC where there are tons of car wash services, so we all have options. Rude personnel (except the manager. Poor quality wash. Unreasonably high price of a simple outside and inside service. First - car came out dirty after the wash and personnel finished wiping it. Both the bogey of the car and wheels were left dirty. They apply oil to the tired which then leaks to the tires - literally thick oil. I had to point it out to the worker who "corrected@ it by leaving smears with dirty towel. Second - rude: I took a towel from a stack to finish cleaning the car my self and one of the workers yelled at me that the towel is for something else and ripped it out if my hands. Third: unreasonably expensive: I paid about $17 for a standard wash and was forced to take armorall as there was no option without it. I usually pay about $12 for a similar was without armorall. The only reasoning I thought about giving it an extra star is that after I complained to the manager he finished the job himself as best as he could but did nothing to address the issue of one of the workers being rude. Very rude staff. I pulled up, and I was about to roll down the window but the staff started spraying down my car, so I waited. There was a staff member named Carlos standing there just staring at me. I'm waiting and waiting and they are still spraying down the car. I'm not interested in getting wet and I don't want the inside of my car wet. So all this is going on and Carlos isn't saying to roll down my window he's just standing there looking at me with an attitude. I roll down the window and he starts yelling at me saying why I'm not rolling my window down, he got behind the counter and started screaming more. Very disgusting. Am I wrong for not opening my window when they are spraying the car? Spraying that window specifically? I think not. The car was itself was good, got most of the dirt off my car. Soft Touch Car Wash is one of the only car wash places in the Bay Ridge area near the bridge so they get pretty busy and because of the demand, the prices are higher than car washes in Dyker, Bensonhurst, Sheepshead, etc. I have gone to this car wash several times and I am just about always disappointed. I gave this review only 2 stars because the cleaning staff are friendly but the quality of the car wash is pretty crummy and the cashier barely looks up from her phone to interact with you while paying for the service. Today, I paid $33 with tax for their platinum wash which includes inside, outside, mats, etc. I posted three pictures here that I took 10 minutes after getting the car washed - the front windshield area was filthy with caked on dirt that got wet during the wash, was never wiped off or cleaned and then dried on my way home; the mat in the trunk was not vacuumed even though I did not have anything back there to get in the way; there was dirt and dried drippings all along the inside of the car when you open the trunk area. The interior clean was a superficial wipe at best and I had to wipe it down to get rid of the streaks left on my dashboard and display console. I didn't take pictures of everything but I also had to spend time cleaning some dirt off the underside of the mirrors, the bottom of the side panels, etc. I don't expect a $100 detail job when paying for a car wash but my car is only a year old, it doesn't need much. A $33 car wash is a bit pricey and when you have to go home and finish cleaning it yourself it isn't really worth it. I understand that this is a tough job, cleaning cars all day in the hot sun or in crap weather for maybe a $1 or $2 tip, it sucks and I get it. I always tip well and I don't complain but I won't be coming back to this car wash after today. I do not think it is because the staff doesn't care or isn't trying, they are working hard. I think the problem is that they are rushing because of the demand and they need to be told that it is okay to slow down, take your time and be thorough. The place charges enough money that they don't need to rush through every wash. This wasn't even a peak time, it is a weekday mid-morning, it is okay to take a little time. I read some of the responses to other negative reviews and the customer was told to ask for a rewash or to complain but realistically, after complaining to the extend that you need your car to be rewashed, aggravating the staff and holding up the line for everyone else, how likely is it that a customer will feel comfortable coming back to this car wash again anyway? read more

Came here after a snow storm and my car looked a mess. I was very impressed with their service . yes, there was a line, but today was also a Sunday and with the recent weather it seems everyone needed a car wash But I was greeted politely. Paid inside quickly - the woman at the register was friendly (unlike many car washes I've been to) But most importantly my car looked cleaner than when I bought it. They even took the time to scrape residue off my back window- which no one has done in my previous 3 car washes. Not sure why there have been such negative reviews, but I had a completely different experience. Will be going back! read more
