Upon arrival you will be greeted by a member of the Softway car wash crew. They will ask you which type of car wash you would like. They have multiple different packages. They will hand you a receipt that you will take with you while your car gets its bath . Once you've picked your package you will exit your car and go into the store area. You can wait to watch your car get washed in their viewing area or wait in their waiting room. Once you get to the waiting room you can looks at unique greetings cards, smell amazing yankee candles or pick out a air freshener for your car! You will also check out with a staff member at their register with your receipt. Once your car is completed the team will hand dry and detail your car (if you've requested this). #31-2021 18 year old Durango after all the snow and the salt and crap decide to give it a wash under carriage too. many people are taking advantage of the warmer weather about 50° and getting their vehicles done I pulled in there was about five vehicles ahead of me but they were really rocking and rolling the assembly line it was moving quick. I checked in was greeted got out of the car perused the menu board decided to go with the number two and had a tire shine locked in cuz she was nice and sanitized down the hallway they have Windows where you can take a gander and watch the action if you want. they also have a little area where you can sit inside or sit outside and wait for your car to get done depending on the service is you're getting done whether it's a straight wash or you have a little add-ons going on. if you want a full blown detail though you got to schedule an appointment for that same with the full hand wax. but they do a nice job doing the inside Spritz a little air freshener vacuum everything out so all in all I was satisfied for the price just under 20 bucks $18 out the door with a $5 tip for the guy 23 bucks no problem did a good job on the old girl. the value it's fine. there's more places that do a little more for the money a little more extra on the detail but for what I needed done I was quite satisfied. I would seek to go anywhere but softway. Wash job outside was pretty bad. Finger print from armor all / tire protectant all over the doors. Vacuum job was pathetic as well. If I didn't have an infant with me I would have complained. Not going back as I learned the "hard" way at softway. read more

I've been going here for several years and it's been hit or miss but mostly hit until recently. I paid 21.99 for a super wash and left the guy a tip before I entered the car and saw my center console untouched. When I drove back and showed it to the cashier she proceeded to tell me that would cost me extra! WHAT?? I pay 29.99 at Tommy express for as many washes per month with almost the same results . I got my last car wash at SoftWay and I don't know why this sits well with anybody. Inconsistent billing and inconsistent service. Been a customer here for a long time, and finally decided that there are better places to go to. It is unfortunate when people take you for granted. In the past, I overlooked the inconsistent service, because the people are incredibly nice and friendly. I had a monthly membership and have been paying the same thing since it began. Today the price changed without notice. When I inquired, they told me that has always been their policy. It just wasn't being enforced previously. The monthly membership was only $30 a month. I usually go there 7-8 times a month. This ends up costing an extra $15 a month or an extra 50% of an increase in cost. I did not find this acceptable. There are many other places in Homer Glen to go to. I hope other people find this helpful and please beware of this policy if you decide to continue going to this place. read more

He told me to fuck off because I was complaining about how they left the rear seat of my car. Don't bother. Took my car here to be detailed and $270.00 later got it back missing car mats which they refuse to replace and want to bicker about whether they are black or dark grey. Very poor and rude customer service and you would think the $60 to replace them and loss of future business would be paramount to a bad review, but no. That ought to tell you something. read more

We've been bringing all of our vehicles to this car wash for 3 years. I just had my oil changed next door last Thursday. My wife brought her SUV here yesterday (Sunday) & purchased the best car wash they have. She observed one of the workers placing tape on the rear wiper blade before they sent it through the wash. Not sure what the deal is with that? Today she turned on the rear wiper & noticed the rear wiper blade hanging down. When she arrived home, I looked at it and discovered the blade wasn't even connected to the rear wiper arm. I can only assume one of the pinche pendejo's pulled it out of socket when they removed the tape that they installed. Instead of re-installing the blade correctly, they set the blade into the arm and let her drive off. They just lost all of our business...... read more

Softway detailed my white 2014 Dodge Durango today and I was completely blown away! They did an amazing job! My car was filthy due to a long road trip and just neglect on my part to keep it clean. The bug carcasses were caked on everywhere, dirt/random grime was everywhere, and the interior was full of dust. Not the 1st time I have had this problem, it seems you don't get much for $11.99 here. I have taken my vehicles here a few times now and don't seem to learn, when they clean the inside apparently any clumps of dirt are left, the dashboard is still dirty along with noticeable dirt on the glovebox and other compartments. It's a decent car wash, but I've had better. The location is very convenient for me, and the employees are nice. The outside always looks great, but the inside looks like it's barely been touched (and mind you my car is never really that dirty.) Second visit to this car wash. First experience was a 5, this visit was a 2. Got the $18.99 wash. Watched my vehicle go thru the wash, it was not rinsed well...soap was still on the car as it was applying the wax. Time to pay... the older woman working the register has the personality of a wet noodle. Hey lady in case you did not notice you are working with the public..no smile not even a thank you...so I said thank you to her, after I paid.... still no response, so I then said your welcome....still nada. I thought the rule of thumb is when you patronize a business, and pay, they should thank you. Guy that wiped my car down, did not do a good job like my first visit here. Left water in several spots on vehicle... window in the back of car is also dirty on the inside and smudged.... He waves towel to sign he is done with my car, then leaves. He is now getting into another vehicle to dry that down. I waved him over and still gave him a tip....I should not have tipped him after seeing what he did not do...I don't care if you are busy....I paid my $18.99 and expect my service to be done correct and complete. Won't be coming back...I see from other reviews the owner does not seem to be concerned....otherwise he would address his reviews period. Train you people properly. Had gotten an oil change at there business next door then took it here for a wash. While the workers were bringing the van into the car wash, my wife and another customer saw one of the workers push on the passenger mirror to try to close it and it broke off. When they were done washing the van, they did not say anything to my wife in hopes she would not notice or say anything and drive away. Once she got her van back, she went back into the office and they had said different stories. First they tried to say the mirror was already broken, then when my wife said no it was not already broken, they then changed the story to it was damaged and rusted and they are not responsible. The van was never damaged or in an accident on the passenger side, ever. I checked the mirror when she got home and they pushed on it so hard, they broke the inside swivel of the mirror. Now, it may have been stuck, but they never should have tried to push it so hard in the first place. What they did caused the mirror to break period. Softway should have accepted responsibility instead of lying about it. I will never bring any of my vehicles back to this car wash as the ethics of the manager there that day were terrible. I do not recommend SoftWay Car Wash for any services. read more

Just got back from Soft Way and am so disappointed. Never had a problem under the old owners. Pulled straight into the garage and noticed the bird crap that was on my side view mirror is still there. Under the roofline of the back hatch still had dirt. If the automatic wash didn't catch it, the guy sure should have. Have the pictures to prove it too. $19 and I still have to wash it myself? Won't be back. More time was spent on the Tesla in front of me. read more

I have been to this carwash quite a few times and normally have had a pleasant experience. Truck normally comes out looking great! This was the first time I have ever had this disappointing of an experience at a carwash. Paid for the super wash plus which includes a undercarriage flush. I understand you're not able to use high pressure water under the vehicle because of vital vehicle components. You can clearly see that the passenger side did get flushed and the drivers side was bone dry. I then also noticed dirt still on the driver's side rocker panels. Once again the dirt was bone dry and not even touched by water. Obviously something was not working right this morning with their carwash. To top it off, the stone and bug deflector, was cracked off and broken on the passenger side corner. I called and spoke with a manager. Pretty much was told their carwash works fine and your dirt must of been extra dirty. About the bug deflector, I was told the salesman who works the morning has been working with the manager since 1989. He completely trusts the salesman and the salesman said it was broken before it was even "taped down." That would not have been possible, since I normally have to walk past the passenger side of my truck to get in it and especially check it before taking it to get washed. Oh and the afternoon salesman, the manager does not trust. The manager did offer to rewash my truck. Probably would of had to put it through in reverse in order to clean the drivers side properly though. And about the bug and stone deflector, "We are not responsible for third party accessories, but you can bring it by and will try and fix it." Watch out, they don't take the proper precautions to make sure their carwash will not destroy your vehicle and you'll likely have to go home and finish the job properly yourself. read more

Worst full service car wash I ever got. Car was still dirty on exterior, mirrors still folded I. And I touched. Items that would not be cleaned in an autocratic car wash that you would expect wiped down by attendant we're both vacuuming of car was poor but cargo sections was not touched at all. I called manager from home after noticing all of this and he said they do t touch the cargo section unless the customer requests it. Why would I request it when they don't tell you that they do t do it? He did offer to reward the car if I came back but once was enough. Do t ever go there. read more

Well went for a car wash at Soft way car wash in Homer Glen IL. on 143rd st. I chose the maintainer for 11.99. The man outside said would you like you mats washed for 3.00 extra? I said well I have weather tech car mats and he said they take them out and brush them and power wash them, so I said OK. My car wash came to 14.99. The man who was drying off my car waves his hand for me to let me know he was finished. I went out and the car was still dirty and wet. the mats were still dirty and soaking wet like Puddles inside my car. I sat and dried my off my car and cleaned it myself and dried the mats with towels I had in the back of my car. So I said something to the woman at the desk and she said call Paul in the morning that he was already gone for the day. I stopped in the next morning to see Paul. What a crabby, cranky, miserable old man who was such an asshole! He literally could have cared less. He said gimmie the keys I'll rewash the car and I said I didn't need it because I cleaned it myself. This is the second time I have been very unhappy with there services. I didn't complain the first time. I wish I would have because I never would have went back the second time after dealing with that old asshole! The sprayed my undercarriage with a power washer. Got all that lube of my axle and rear end. I like it clean and that is how they did it, a little forceful in some spots but only where it was needed. And I didn't have to pay extra for it. I'd recommend this place. There is even a nice bench out front to have a smoke after while everyone dries off. read more

This place is fantastic, but you have to understand what you're getting. The reason some people complain is that they come to a place like this once a year and expect a complete detail for $12. I'd bet that the complaints here are from people that are here because it's winter and they can't wash it in the driveway. Be realistic and compare what you get here to any other 'service' (haircut, etc.). Where else does any business invest that much and charge so little? If you get a Full Service car wash at Softway every week or so, your car will always look great and you'll be happy. If you wash it yourself all year, or go to a gas station wash mostly, and then expect this place to detail your car for $12, you won't be a happy camper. Be fair and be honest in your reviews. I went there today for the first time after being right next door for an oil change. The quick lube gave me a coupon for the car wash so I said why not try it. With the 3 bucks off it was still $15 for the best wash. Which, upon investigation was a complete rip off compared to other places. My driver seat, mirrors, and steering wheel were all moved from the positions I had them. The driver seat was if at all barely vacuumed, dust was still visible. The mats were hardly put back in. There were spots still on my windows and mirrors. I noticed most of this once I got home. I did not go back to complain. I will just not be going back ever. read more

You aren't going to find a more family-like and down to earth crew anywhere you go. I spent $24.99 and got my mats, tires, and wheels hand cleaned and got the best wash as well. They offer something called ceramic spray wax, which sounded pretty interesting, so I might try that some day. Overall, very recommended! read more

I have given this car wash a chance for the last time. I have been here 3 times. Two of the three visits needed a redo. The first time was not a good experience, they had to redo the interior after poorly vacuuming it the first time. They did make it right that time (even though the manager came off like a jerk), so I gave them another shot. Had a good experience the second time, not great but compared to the first, better. I try to tip well for the effort these guys put in ($10 typically) but was totally done with them this last visit. I pull up and tell the young man that the car is brand new (about 30 miles on it) I just wanted the interior windows done really well because you can see dust and suction cup marks on the windshield. There was nothing to vacuum, because...new car. I come out and give the guy a nice tip and on my way. I couldn't see until the sun hit the front and rear windows to find...you guessed it...suction cup marks with a bunch of wipe marks from his towel just in the middle of the glass. Aside from the machine washing the exterior, you had one job to do!!!! I will not be back. read more

I own an Executive ground transportation company and live in the area. I take many of my company cars here to be washed. For the most part, have been happy with the quality of the services received. As with every carwash business, the end result is what makes a customer happy or dis satisfied. When you offer the service of drying the vehicle after it is out of the wash makes all the difference. Soft way Carwash has a crew that is conscientious but sometimes a bit lax. I have found that mentioning something to the owner as the car is being dried helps during those times when the drying crew seems a little overwhelmed. He is always on top of his employees to offer the best car wash in the area. Not the cheapest but well worth the cost. read more

Wouldn't even give one star if I didn't have to. Took the car there for a wash. The guy stripped and ruined the roof antenna by taking it off. We saw him do it. The manager, Paul Ktenes, came out and told us he wouldn't do anything because it is an old (five years) car. The wall was good, but they ruined the antenna. But only would Paul not do anything, he was ignorant when we suggested he should. We will be using a different wash place from now on. read more

Purchased the base wash that includes wash, dry, vacuum, and window cleaning. Didn't dry out the door jambs or clean the inside of the front windshield. I was signaled my car was done noticed the wheels hadn't been dried off. Asked the guy drying the car to please dry the wheels and he replied with "that's an extra service." I would expect the entire car to be dried off. read more
