Been coming here for many years and was generally happy with service. New owner Connor has taken over and I have definitely noticed a change in service for the better and attention to detail. I don't get it. How can the function of paying for a car wash be so consistently difficult? My wife and I started coming here because the place up the street raised their price to $8 for a cheap wash (which leaves a nice amount of soap on your car). But this place has been worse. Every time I've come here there has been a problem with the credit card reader. Today I went to the lane on the left. And all the cars lined up behind me needed to backup and let me out, because it would not take my card. This is the third time I've had this problem, across both lanes. Also, I had bought my wife a gift card for Xmas. But the readers have trouble with it. So they told her she needs to come into the office and get a code, to then type in when she picks a lane. Really?? Every time this is what she needs to do? What a hassle. We're done with this place. Looking for a new option. Gonna start trying the big new gas station place out on Route 83 & Archer. read more

Worst car wash experience I have ever had, as well as the most expensive price I've ever paid for a detail wash. I bought the full­ service interior detail wash. I was required to pay a $40.00 dollar upcharge for an SUV, as well as a $40.00 fee for dog hair (even though I don't own a dog). I honestly expected a much better job for the $360.00 than what I received. The bugs and insects were still on the bumper. The seatbelts were never moved when the leather treatment was applied, you could see the outline of the seatbelts on the upholstery from the armor-all, never even wipe down. The dust between the seats and sides panels were never touched. I sent an email asking to make it right, received nothing but crickets back. Save your money, you can get the same results with a $9.00 car wash at BP. This is really a "Zero Star" post. read more

Well this is the second time I've gone here and the second time I've had a problem. I called over the weekend to set up an appointment for an interior cleaning on my car. I told him to shampoo the inside to see it's really dirty and there was something spilled in the back. I was quoted $89 I said fine. I arrive to find out it's now $129 but I didn't think much of it and they look the car over I handed them the key and I left. 10 minutes later I'm getting a call only to be told it's now $150. Horrible customer service. You check the car when I'm there why would you let me leave without letting me know what the prices if it's going to be more. Instead I have to drive 15 minutes to only have to come back and get my car. I would never use this place again so terribly disappointed. read more

Had my car detailed a few weeks ago and paid for the top package. I can honestly say it was seriously worth every penny. My little SUV is 8 years old and I haven't done much to it for those 8 years. My car after detailing looked better than the day I bought it. I don't understand how they do such a good job! I am very picky by the way. Have gone to them before for other vehicles in the past and will continue to use them. I've used them for car detailing and their clay bar service when I drove through construction oil. My husbands Chevy Malibu needed a DEEP CLEANING in the interior so I took it for a full interior cleaning. WOW! They did a great job! Bonus: Because it takes about 3-4 hours, they offer to take you home if you live in Lockport While they worked on my car, since I live further away, I decided to walk to the strip mall nearby and kill time at Kohl's, Home Goods & Target. When I returned 3 hours later the car looks practically brand new.... Except... First, the water seems to have pooled at the back of the drivers seat. It's still damp to the touch. They put plastic over it so my butt doesn't get wet... Kinda reminded me of what dry cleaners do to cover a mistake... Second, it's been raining off and on so obviously I need to use my wipers. When I did the right one had no blade on it! I was very upset! Didn't even think I'd need to check this. When I stopped the car to check it the wiper was sitting in the window well! So I attached it. I checked the left one and it was hanging on but not attached. I attached that one too. Ridiculously simple thing they should have been capable of doing. I left them an irritated message telling them to make their garage aware of this issue for future customers. So just be aware of this when you use them. Other than this, everything else was lovely. Just moved to the area and was looking for a car wash place to clean my car such as Delta Sonic does (inside and out). Paid an additional $20 to clean the inside of my car and when my car was finished and my keys were handed to me I said thank you and received no response back. I was just handed my keys in silence. When I arrived home I saw my car mats were not shampooed, my door handles were still smudged and my dash board still had dust. I had to clean my car myself at home - gave the car wash $20 dollars to clean the inside of my car only to come home to have to clean it myself. Very disappointing - I could have just done it in the first place myself. read more

Worst automatic car wash I've been too. $13 gets you no tire shine and they have multiple dryers that are NOT heated. So when you come out you're car looks like there has been no dryer at all. Total rip off. Might as well get the cheapest wash and do everything else yourself. TRASH! read more

I just went there for the first time in a while, and was confused because I ran into a pre-pay system that's asking for a membership, and as I pull in I find the whole thing is automated. I used to enjoy the hand drying aspect which made this car wash better than the wash right down the street...gave it a personal feel Now everything is automated and feels very robotic and like just another car going through another automatic car wash with the same options and the same system. The equipment was very impressive looking and my kids loved the colorful light show from inside the car. If they were writing this review it would be 5 stars. The actual cleaning of the car left MUCH to be desired. For $15 the car should be pretty clean. I understand that most of the time there is some dirt and debris left on the car. It happens. That's where the hand drying guys would swoop in and you would never even see it or know that there was still some minor dirty parts. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was that they provided you with unlimited clean towels to use to dry off your car if you were so interested in doing so. As I wiped down the car I noticed that the rims were barely even cleaned. It took me one towel on each rim just to clean them up. That's pretty brutal especially for a $15 premium wash. I parked over by the self-use vacs by the car wash exit. There was a little frost that morning (12/3) and it looked like someone dumped a salt there making it a wet, dirty, and salty mess. The vac closest to me kept having issues where the head of the vac would come off of the hose so I had to move over a spot. Not expected from a relatively brand new car wash. By the time I was finished using the vacs, my shoes were wet with muddy water which then got on my nicely vacuumed tan floor mats. So, what should have been about a 10 minute easy car wash transaction turned into about 45 minutes where most of that time was spent wiping off a car that was moderately wet and rims that were barely touched. I can get the same exact wash 1/2 mile north and at least they give you a receipt good for another car wash within 5 days. The only difference is that I have to use my own towel. The other place even has a bucket full of water (dirty, but still) with a brush for "bug removal" which I'm sure most people use to pre-clean their tires and rims. I scheduled a deluxe interior cleaning and spent 4 Hours sitting on their bench watching the new service. I went in half a dozen times to watch the new machinery and this is my observation: Most people did the deluxe wash and used the towels and vacuum provided (vacuum is excellent!). Their were zero complaints about the equipment. Got the sense that most missed the guys who did the toweling off. But- You can get this done for $20 or you can get a hand wash for $35. Not a bad deal. The new line does do a better job and my Subaru came out nice. The wheel component was especially effective. Change is not always to my liking but i respect the guts these owners have to invest in top notch equipment. The results were very good and most importantly the interior detailing by Walter was showroom quality. Mike, Wendy, Walter, Roberto and Stacey took great care of me. Yea, do not waste your time here. I called the day before to book and appointment for an express interior detail. I told the girl over the phone that my car was spotless, but the only issue was my dog had threw up in my front seat and it left and oder. She told me it was completely fine and recommended the shampooing. I came in the next day on time, dropped my car off, called them and hour later to ask for update and they told my my car was next in line so I should be expecting a wait of 1-1.5 hours. 6 hours later, 30 minutes before closing they called me and told me I had to come pick my car up before they close. I was really annoyed but I just wanted my car back at that point. After I paid, I walked into my car and I was greeted by an overwhelming smell of cleaner, and after the smell had settled the throw up oder was still there. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. They offered me no compensation and the best thing they could tell me was that the oder removal was not going to be guaranteed. Never coming back. read more

I still choose this place over the speedier option down the street, which only washes the outside of your car and leaves you with free vacuums to do the rest. However, I just changed my review from 5 stars to 4 stars because the most recent visit I've made had me disappointed, compared to my first visit which left me very impressed. I know that a car wash here isn't a full detail job, but it seems like the inside of my car (dash, cupholders, little cubbies here and there) wasn't as thoroughly wiped down as it was the last time. Don't get me wrong, the place is still worth going to unless you only need a quick wash on the outside, however I feel that the attention to the interior of the car has gone down a little. They did an amazing job on my car, it looks brand new! They were able to get me in on the same day I called and they seemed very well staffed. Only took a few hours. I had dog hair all over my seats and lots of little annoying crumbs on the mats and crevices, plus my car hasn't been clean for the entire winter season so living in Chicago you can imagine all the salt and ice and sludge that I tracked into my car all winter long. I got the express interior detailing done for a very fair price ($64 something) and it looks like a million bucks!! I'm so satisfied! read more

A few months ago I would've given this place 5 stars. We used to go out of our way to specially come to this car wash. The service was thorough and the staff was friendly. My car was always really clean and dry leaving here. Then they closed for a few months to put in a new car wash system... Two words. BIG. MISTAKE. A computer greeted me. There was no option for interior or even any explanation that interior seems to now be "do it yourself." The brushes in the car wash were harsh and slammed my side mirror in. It sounded like they were slamming on my roof as we drove through. And then we made it through, expecting one of the staff to be waiting to dry our car but instead..nothing. No one was waiting. Apparently, you have to dry your own car now. And yet, the wash still cost $15!!! I can find a delta sonic that costs $8 and they actually dry my car afterwards. This $15 wash was a complete waste of money. I had to go home and detail my car and pretty much rewash it since water spots streaked my car. Had I known they decided to do away with the personalized service, I would've brought towels to avoid having to rewash when I got home. Needless to say, we will not be back. Very very disappointed. This is one of the best washes ever. I spent $6 to try it out and my car looked 100% better than any other car wash. Since when can your car get wiped down after washing for $5 with $1 tip. I went to the new car wash down the street and it cost me $13 and it was all water spotted and the back of the car was still all dirty. No comparison. Nu Look is the best. I got the inside of my car detailed after someone threw up in my car.they completly missed the area under the rear window, which still had puke on it, as i was driving down the highway doing 70mph while my friend puked out the window. So it went everywhere! Also after i got my 08 Malibu back, my airbag light was on, which it never has done before. Then a month later, i got into an accident and my airbag didn't even go off, thankfully i was fine, but that's not the point here. I will not be returning for detail work on my new car, a 2015 Camaro RS, as the Malibu was totaled in the accident. Will bring her to another shop to keep my new baby clean, that's for sure. They also missed puke in the window where it rolls up and down, no bueno. Only one good compliment, they got old stains out of my seats that were there for years. You lost my business :( read more

Look Nu has the best $5 car wash in a 50 mile radius. I watched them brush off the dust and grime from my grill before it went into the tunnel and then hand dry the outside and even inside the doors and hatchback. I was really surprised with the amount of time and care they took with my car for $5! And they give you a punch card so you get your 13 wash free. Look Nu is actually out of the way for me when traveling to work and errands but it's worth going a few minutes in the other direction to get a great wash and wonderful service for a really fair price. read more

The mark of a good business should not be based on how it responds to "business as usual " but on its response to a customer who has a problem or concern. Had my van washed today at Look Nu. When I got home I noticed a scuff on the rear door that I was certain was not there before the wash. Called them and was told the manager would get back to me. I received a call within five minutes and the manager asked if I could stop back so he could take a look at it. When he looked at the scuff he was certain it didn't come from their equipment but asked for the keys so he could pull into the detail shop. They not only fixed the scuff but also went over the entire exterior. And it turned out he was correct and the scuff was caused when a few days previous the wind blew open the back door beyond its normal pivot causing the scuff. Nice to see a business that stands behind its service even when its service is not the cause of the complaint. read more

I had My car Complete Interior Detail $124.95 washed and let me tell you, it looks like new inside ! wow very impressed. I have light grey interior so needles to say all the coffee spills, stains and dirt was very noticeable, I was hoping to see a much cleaner interior, and Nu Look made it look like brand new again. Inside doesn't smell like chemicals either. They even defogged my head light ( one was foggy looking ) and they look clear as a glass, Very Pleased ! Highly recommend this place ! While the normal wash may be a good deal or option do not use their detailing service. I was very disappointed in the quality of the cleaning and they scratched my car in the process. When they were contacted and it was brought to their attention they did nothing to remedy or even acknowledge the issue. I would give zero stars if possible as the damage they caused will cost more than I paid for the detailing. read more
