There doesn't seem to be any middle-ground option for customers who just want a thorough interior cleaning with the floor mats washed but don't need a full detail. I arrived at 8:30 a.m., and there were multiple employees working but virtually no customers. Even so, I was told the wait would still be 2 1/2 hours because that's the standard for this service. I left and went to Fuller's instead. Every service bay there was full, yet they had multiple employees working on my vehicle at the same time and completed the job in just 35 minutes. The quality was excellent. I wish this business offered a faster option for customers who want something more than a basic wipe-down but less than a full detail. Best car wash in town for $8. The only catch was you have to leave your car for someone else to drive it thru the wash. The good part is that they do a decent job to vacuum the carpets and quick wipe down inside the car and 3 people drying the car outside. Highly recommend for a clean car. Tip is optional. read more

Getting through the wash process has typically happened in 20 minutes or less. You can monitor the process to ensure the automated wash process applies the desired applications such as underbody wash, application of ceramic or other coatings occur happen as expected. Beware of this place, first red flag was that they couldn't figure out how to shift my electric mustang into neutral. They must have been trying for a while before they found me and asked me to do it, I immediately went over and did it in a matter of 5 seconds, but the problem had just begun at this point. Once my car was finished with the wash my child immediately said "wow what is that crack on the glass roof?" I was literally shocked and went right back to the car wash where I spoke with the most unprofessional staff who of course refused to take any blame whatsoever for the incident. One of the employees also insulted my intelligence and said I should read my manual so I learn how to shift my car into neutral. I looked at him and said "are you serious, I just did it after you almost damaged my transmission system?" I cannot believe their are shady places like this that are still allowed to operate. My first visit was disappointing with regard to the quality. I spent 27.00. The people who clean the inside of the car were very hurried ( due to very busy day). However, since it is their business they should be trained to handle it. I expect a good quality wash regardless of how busy they are. Here's what went wrong: The mats were cleaned but then they saturated in that chemical used on the tires. They were really wet from it. The smell was overwhelming, plus toxic. I had to open all the windows and dry the mats with paper towels to reduce the smell. They used towels on my windows that were cross contaminated with other cleaning solvents. When the daylight ended, i could see all the haziness on the windows and that they did not wipe to clean the whole window. They just wiped the middle parts. A rear passenger window hadn't even been done. While i was still there, i had checked the vehicle and they hadn't even cleaned the inside windows in the back my SUV. I pointed it out and it was done just as sloppy as the rest. I was going to go back to have them redo my windows but have decided its not worth the hassle. I will not return. read more

I brought my truck in for detailing.Had a 6 pm drop off but had to rush because they were closing early due to weather I spoke with George and we discussed the cleaning , asking for my visors to be cleaned. I was told they would be cleaned but they could not touch the headliners. received a phone call the next day prior to them cleaning with a list of things they found wrong with the vehicle (IE a small tear in the seat, loose door handle etc) After paying ahead( because they were closing early again due to weather ) I went to pick up my vehicle which they left in their lot . car looked pretty good, however, the following was not kosher 1. minor but they never cleaned the visors 2. HUGE CRACK in my dash that was NOT there prior to leaving it with them ! I called several times throughout the week and no answer . (closed due to weather). I left a VM on his cell. No response I finally got through almost a week later and spoke with Manger he basically told me this was not caused them and in a round about way told me too bad, they are not responsible!!! Here's a story of how I got myself into a pickle and was saved by King Car Wash. I was visiting (used to live there) family with my girlfriend and had been at Six Flags up in Gurnee... evidently the last ride I was on (Dark Knight) was dirty as I unknowingly picked up a piece of chewing gum on my upper ass area of my pants. Being the last ride we were on, we left and went out to the car... my girlfriend's moms car mind you. Got in the passenger seat and we drove 45min or so south to Downers Grove where we were staying. Upon getting out of the car I noticed a minty blue smear on the seat where I was sitting... F*ck!!! I consulted Google, tried the freezing it with ice and scraping it thing... freezing with a can of air thing... the goo-gone thing... nothing worked. Pulled up my Yelp iphone app and typed "car wash" and King Car wash was the closest to me with good reviews. I called and talked to the chick and she asked a manager how much it would cost and he told me to come in so he could look at it. Honestly I didn't think they'd want to touch it but I was hoping so as they have all the cool comercial vacuums and steamers / shampooers. I double-timed over there, walked in and talk to Rolando (the manager). Had a worker come over look at it and said he'd take care of it. When I asked how much he said nothing cause it would only take him 5 min. I ran next door to the drug store to get cash anyways. His guy took his time with it inside the garage and about 8 min later he drives the car out and what do ya know... the seat looks as good as frickin new and smells awesome!!! Hell yeah!! Disaster averted! I thanked him and he was very nice throughout the whole thing and told me to have a nice day... I gave him a $20 spot and he said "I'll give this to the guy who worked on your car". Gave it right to his guy, all of it, without question. That's a 'Good Fella' there! Stand up guy. I saw him walk back and give it to his guy and that dude was stoked! Not only do they do a terrific job, but they are very honest. I made the mistake of asking my wife to hold my wedding band after a BBQ on the 4th and wouldn't you know...she lost it. I took her car in for a wash this afternoon and there was my band, right in the coin holder. I gave these guys a second chance after the first garbage wash because they were so busy the second time. They charge extra for Mini vans paid $25 for an alleged interior clean incl vacuum and center console. The back of the center console was still dirty, the outside of the van still had drippings on it, and there were still cheezits on the floor. Garbage. read more

This place washes pretty well - at a price. I'd never been to that neighborhood so it took me a bit longer to find it. It's on the northeast corner of 63rd and Cass, a busy junction, right next to a Shell station. I was there last Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy, tho' I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Pretty efficient I'd say. I think this place hires half the population of Westmont. You pull into the driveway and before you have time to turn off the stereo, an army of people come and take your car away from you. If you order the Full Service or above, they'll vacuum and wipe the inside, and send your car through the usual soft-brush conveyor where you can stand behind the glass and watch if that pleases you. When it re-emerges a second unit takes over and wipes it all down. They operate like they're at war. They did a good job washing, including removing brake dust from the wheels, but the drying could use a little more detail. They missed the bottom-edge of the doors and underneath the side mirrors, but overall they dried it pretty good - much better than Delta Sonic, for example. I had the Kings Choice and according to their website it's $17, but it actually costs $18. The website does offer a $3-off coupon so that helps. On top of that, they've added the undercarriage spray to all levels of wash - which may explain the price increase. I asked the service manager about their use of water. They use reclaimed water for the initial body and tire spray cycles, and fresh water for the final rinse. They use a three-stage system to purify the recycled water, removing salt, bacteria and so on. Good enough for me. I'd definitely come back but I'd probably just get the basic ($6), especially if they continued to include undercarriage spray - a must in winter. read more
