This restaurant is located inside the H Mart complex. Sogongdong is one of the many Korean type restaurants in the food hall. I have always wanted to try one of these restaurants. The food hall is always packed; an excellent sign of good food. At first, I couldn't decide which place I wanted to try. There are many to choose from and the dishes are huge. Enough food for two people to share even. I honed in on Sogongdong after I saw they offered Bibimbop. Not only is a dish fun to say, but it is also delicious. The meal was fresh and hot with a lot of ingredients with all types of veggies, chicken, kimchi on the side, pickled radish, spicy sauce, rice and soup. It's a big and tasty meal. And maybe a little shy of protein. It's more like a salad with bean sprouts, mushrooms, lettuce & carrots topped with chicken and rice below. Staff are nice and service is quick. Shared parking lot.

Hello! Despite my major writer's block of 2024, we are #SoBack. I went to this place again a few times last year and I was hit with my habit of ordering the same thing over and over... diagnosed with seafood pancake craving always. I did also end up trying the bulgogi bibimbap which is delicious - they have options for a normal bowl or a hot stone bowl (get hot stone for scalding, crunchy vibes). Mom now loves this place too. Maybe one day I'll try a soup! Not really a soup person, but new year, maybe new me?

We've ordered from So Gong Dong Tofu House before so wanted to try something different last week. Ordered some takeout to make dinner easy for myself for a change. Beef bulgogi and Japchae were exactly what I needed ands it was all packed up so nice and neat for me! It is nice that I could get both dishes without onions too! Both were very tasty and generously portioned so we had some leftovers too. Our dishes came with some soup, rice and picked vegetables which were also neatly packed for my convenience. There are lots of tables and seats in the H Mart food court with plenty of people dining in. It's nice that the numbers are announced with the overhead speakers and include the restaurant name so there's no order confusion for anyone. There were several orders placed before mine but all of the orders came out in a timely manner. I was almost jealous of the people that were dining in as I sneaked a peek at their food. It all looked and smelled so delicious! The deliciousness of my order permeated my car with Korean goodness once I hit the road. Everything was yummy and really hit the spot. Having some leftovers afterwards just lets us luckily continue enjoying the goodness for just another meal. I also know what I want to tech the next time I'm there! I hope everyone else also gets a chance to fill their tummies with all their good food too!

It was our first time here and will definitely not be our last. We were impressed by the delicious food and the amount of people who stop by this food court. It was busy and therefore difficult to find seats, but once we did it was worth it. You do have to wait awhile for your number to be called, but we enjoyed our meals. This shop is located inside a food court inside of HMart. It's easy to find if you look at the names on the stands. Also, watch out for the people who have their carts with them because although there's enough space between tables, it can be tight to pass by.

Delicious Hardy and flavorful are great descriptions of their #4 bibimbap heart stone bowl dish. Service was quick however they were a lot of people for a Sunday evening. But we were in and out within a reasonable time will definitely be back!

Wanted to try something outside of my comfort zone and this did not disappoint! Service was quick and I absolutely loved this! Perfect amount of spice and an amazing dish.

It's always good idea to grab lunch from food court when grocery shopping at Hmart. We tried their soontofu with noodles on prior visit but it wasn't really something we would get again. However, today I ordered their hot stone bibimbap. It was really good. Lots of fresh veggies and meat. They gave me sauce on the side so I can adjust my spice level. The only thing that would've made this better would be a pan fried sunny side up egg with runny yolk. Also little more sesame oil would've been nice touch. Overall, decent meal for food court. Enjoy!

Inside of the food hall in H Mart. Lots of seating for first come, first serve. Make sure to bring the dishes back to which restaurant you got it from. I got Beef Soon Dubu Jjige. There are other proteins you can choose from. For $10.99, I thought the size was great!! It comes out super hot so be careful. They give you an egg to crack into the soup. Crack the egg into the soup as soon as possible while it is still burning hot. The tofu soon is filled with flavors and lots of tofu. There wasn't much beef pieces in the soup and the brought was a bit salty, but other than that the tofu soup was really good! The rice with the soup was perfect together. The staff was really nice! I would recommend their tofu soup. They have many other dishes there, so looking forward to try other items from this restaurant.

Escaping the heat, we popped into the HMart for a little bit of shopping when our bellies began to growl, so we went to the food court and found Sogongdong Tofu & BBQ. We got a heaping bowl of soondoobu with seafood, and an ice cold bowl of bibim naengmyun. Spicy, hot and cold, just what we need for a respite from record-breaking heat. Not bad, HMart.

Really good Korean food restaurant within H Mart. Of all of them, this one is the best. Since it's a counter order, service is pretty good. It hard as hell to get a table sometimes tho. You have be on the hunt. Ambiance is usually pretty packed. This is a popular place.

Bubbling hot soup served piping hot on a frigid cold Arizona night. Located in the busy Hmart food center. This was a great addition to our food hall haul and was fairly priced around $11 only! They had beef and seafood in the soup. They even included muscles in the soup. The soup took about 10 minutes to serve. And which is reasonable considering how hot it was.

To start the appetizer tray at the beginning is an awesome touch that I'm not used to in other places I have tried. It kind of took the guess work out of ordering in my opinion so I only had to focus on what meat or dish I wanted since my sides were already selected and refillable for free through the course of the meal. We ordered the seafood sundubu, beef bulgogi, and sweat and spicy korean fried chicken wings. The portion size was very generous on the wings and on the crispier side which my wife prefers. The seafood sundubu was delicious and was pleasantly surprised to see a decent amount of tofu and seafood types in the dish. The beef bulgogi was also tasty and as I said before just scratched that korean food craving that we had. This has been added to our rotation of date night locations for us! I also enjoyed the banchan, and I finished everything except the fish cakes, which are just not my favorite. Overall, I really appreciated the meal and the experience. I'll definitely be back soon to try the kimchi stew.

Easily able to share with 4-6 people. - Kimchi Jun (vegetarian): This dish was ordered for the vegetarians and they enjoyed. We could have easily had our table of 12 split this, but we had ordered one for each side of the table. We had some after entrees, but we worked to polish it off to avoid any waste as it was a great dish. I'm normally not a pork fan, but I did try a piece and it was good. - Dol Pan Bibim Bap: this came out sizzling and loved the cast iron it was served in. If you're not into eating inside parts of animals, I would recommend getting the brisket or kalbi cuts. The Banchan (sides) were good too. They had fish cake, kimchi, pickled radish and cucumbers available. We also tried the tofu soup, steamed egg and corn cheese which all came out hot and tasted flavorful. This spot is a-la-carte, so you order off the menu and pay by items. My only downside is that they didn't have rice paper here since I don't really eat the white rice since it fills me up too quickly.
