My entire family now has our haircut by Dani at Soiree. Originally it was just my wife. Then my kids. Finally I got on board as well. My original draw to Soiree? I missed the head massage and hot towel treatment I used to get at the Aveda Salon I frequented in Florida. My first salon experiences in this area incorporated lukewarm hair washing water and no head massage. I couldn't do it anymore. Soiree knocks the hair washing service out of the park. They have their own crew completely responsible for washing hair, massaging scalps and providing hot towel treatments. My daughter likes it so much that one time I was having my hair taken care of, she just asked if she could have hers washed. They fit her in right in. You best believe there is no lukewarm water here. My haircuts themselves are also top notch. Dani is really good at her job. Not only with the actual cutting and attention to detail with my hair but also with the conversation. I am always sad when the haircut is over. It all goes too quickly. Scheduling and rescheduling appointments is super easy. They send text reminders so that I am never surprised when it pops up on my calendar. I look forward to my visits to Soiree. I visited Soiree Salon for the first time and it was a great experience. The salon has a clean, relaxing, comfortable vibe overall. It's a lot larger than I initially thought, with lots of salon chairs and a section for mani/ pedi's. There's big windows that lets in a lot of light so the salon is nice and bright! They offered wine, infused water, coffee, tea and pastries. The owner, Debbie, came over and introduced herself which was nice. The parking is an open lot and super accessible off of York Rd. My stylist was Shalva, who is phenomenal! This is the first time she has ever done my hair but we have a special history and have recently re-connected after 10+ years (check out her video on IG). I had an appointment for a vivid color, oil slick/ oil spill style. She went over everything before the appointment, including expectations and preferences and kept me posted of the progress throughout. The result is beautiful (see pic below) and just what we talked about- vivid rainbow color but not bright neon, oil spill that will be moderately low maintenance (just what I need). It's perfect for fall and oddly timely with the recent show of the Northern Lights and Wicked (similar colors)! The salon also has a ton of product available like shampoo's and conditioner's, of course and lots of other hair products and even makeup! Post COVID quarantine hair, the long awaited appointment for a refresh. I made a new client appointment with Sahar in hopes to achieve a bright platinum color and she over delivered. She took my hair from dark roots and a yellow blonde to a bright beautiful bright, light tone. Awesome and I highly recommend Sahar for all things blonde! Soirée COVID procedures are: call when you arrive, stylist will come get you, clients are extremely distanced at stationer and about 5 stylists in at a time. The space is quite large with two sides. There was one other client on the same side of the salon as me, across the room. All staff wear masks and stylists all had gloves on. read more

The best and only good thing about Soiree is the shampoo treatment, the rest is junk. Have been trying for over a year to get a consistent haircut, but only got a decent haircut twice. (It wasn't for a lack of trying). $45 dollars plus tips gets a man 20 to 30 minuet rush job. Now that they don't want your business or can handle what you need, they push you away. You call to try to make an appointment, and Its "Oh the stylist is booked up this week. And then they say the stylist is all booked up for the next two weeks. TODAY I called and was told the stylist is booked up to October (three months). What a bunch of garbage. This is what a true low-class business looks like. read more

I was given a permanent by a very inexperienced stylist. She had to read the directions as she did the perm. I told her multiple times that I did not want a body wave and that I wanted curls. Now I have a very bad body wave that I can't do anything with. The stylist clearly didn't listen to my request for curls as sh blew my hair out straight. She remarked that I had more volume which wasn't true. I got more volume before she styled it on my own. I am so disappointed in this salon. This is the third time I've gotten really bad service. I had the best experience today- I saw a wonderful gal named Sahar and she worked some magic on my hair. My roots were grown in, highlights were faded and brassy, grays were sprouting...like seriously I was a hot mess. She knew exactly what to do and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. Hair done by Sahar. I debated whether or not I would leave a review, but for 200$ I was unhappy with the outcome I received. I am not confrontational so I should have verbalized more how much I didn't like the result, but I feel the salon also made mistakes which is why I am posting. I did a lot of research before deciding on the place and person I wanted to bleach my hair because I plan to eventually go very light with a root smudge. I called and made an appointment and told the receptionist that I was a natural level 6 and wanted to go blonde with a root smudge. I needed a Saturday appointment and wanted a specific stylist so I had a little over 2 months of wait. I called the week of my appointment to confirm the time allotted was enough for what I was asking because I know it takes many hours to go blonde and just realized they closed at 4 on Saturdays, but was assured it would be okay to be booked 2.5 hours before close. When I showed up the stylist asked what I wanted and I when I told her I wanted to go blonde she informed me that I was not booked correctly for that service and that it couldn't be done in one visit. We went through pictures and agreed on an obtainable outcome for my unprocessed hair (included). She started with 2 sections of my baby hairs at the nape of my neck before skipping the entire back of my hair and only highlighting the top front portion of my hair. She applied the foils and sat me in a waiting area before moving me to the bowl and shampooing my hair. She asked an apprentice to complete my root smudge to make the highlight transition more smooth, and added a gloss and no toner to the mid lengths and ends of my hair. After the apprentice finished she asked a non-stylist worker to brush through my hair. I have never had such a problem brushing through my hair in my life. I could hear my hair snapping from the brush trying to rip through all the knots in my hair and immediately my stomach dropped from the feeling of massive regret. The worker told me that my hair was essentially matted and was able to complete 1/8th of my hair in 15 minutes before she was told to condition my hair and finish the wash since it was almost 4. After the wash, I went to the chair and my original stylist applied product and finished brushing my hair. I could tell when my hair was wet that it wasn't close to what I wanted but she assured me it gets lighter once it is dry. After she blow dried my hair, I ran my hand through it and it felt very rough and the ends were continuously becoming knotted even after 2 haircuts (rough chop of about 6 inches before bleach and finishing cut after of about an inch or two). My hair reminds me of those really harsh highlights from the 90s if they had grown out a couple months, which can be a look but wasn't what I was looking for. I debated on whether or not to pick up some bleach from Sally's on the way home to try and add something myself because I have weddings to attend next month and it already took so long to get this one appointment that I don't think it's likely to find another appointment somewhere else at such short notice. I can't even put my hair in a bun to try and cover the blonde because I have chunks of really bright blonde that don't even match the rest of my hair on the back of my head. All of the people I had contact with were extremely nice but unfortunately I can't justify going back and would not recommend this salon for anyone planning to bleach their hair. read more

I've been going to Soirée for years. Debbie, one of the owners, always makes me feel like family and I leave feeling restored and looking amazing. I cherish my time here, 5 star service top to bottom, from the scalp massage while being shampooed to the single razor neck shave, this staff has the expertise and skills to get anything you want done. When I decided to die my hair blonde, Debbie made me look like a super model. I look forward to my haircut more than anything because of the incredible staff at Soirée. Went to Soirée yesterday on the recommendation of my sister who is a client there. Tina was my stylist, she listened to what I wanted for the length of my hair, I am salt and pepper, had a blonde streak when I arrived. She suggested using a warmer tone that would give my hair a more natural look. She did a great cut that shaped around my face and I love it! Tina was kind and engaging and I will definitely go back to her! The entire experience was great, I got a hand massage, head massage and hot towel after washing of my hair. The salon is clean and beautifully laid out. Best of all it didn't cost me an arm and a leg like my last salon, and I look 100% better! The entire staff couldn't be any nicer. I went for a simple haircut, I hadn't had one since before COVID started. I had also just moved into the Towson area so I was super nervous about finding a new place. The environment was so welcoming and everyone was so nice. My stylist Dani was super attentive and listened to my ideas of what I wanted. Just one week before my wedding day I went to Soiree for hair coloring. It's been lightening up (until I looked like a blonde) with my keratin treatments. It was supposed to be highlighted, but there was no contrast left at all. Megan was able to bring back life into my hair by adding low lights and who knows what else.
