The stylist, Karen did not listen to what I wanted even after showing multiple pictures and describing how I wanted my cut and color. She then had the audacity to lie to my face saying she didn't cut the sides of my hair when I saw her do it. At that point it was too late to have her stop or it would have been worse to an it was. My color came out orange and she said it was strawberry blonde. Never had a worse experience with a salon. I had someone else fix it because she can't be trusted. This salon is beautiful! Great location and parking. Very clean and friendly staff. I've been a client of Lisa's for 2 years and I get a Dermaplaning facial/ waxing/lash and brow tint every month when she comes to town to see her Baltimore clients. Lisa is phenomenal ...She takes her time, very committed and my skin feels wonderful after the treatment. Candi has been amazing. I went to her after coloring my hair at home for decades, finally wanting to transition to natural gray. She knew exactly the issues I would face as I grew it out, and exactly how to mitigate them. I had no clue how to approach it. I was immediately grateful for her suggestions and treatments/cut. After my first visit I have received regular compliments on my hair that I haven't heard in ages. I have changed length and color a few times with her, and each time I must get a compliment on my cut and color at least a few times a week. She's made me love my hair again! Tyler is amazing! I have very dark hair that I've subjected to layers upon layers of color over the years, so I went in with tempered expectations and a photo of what I loved but knew was probably not obtainable. I have never been so pleasantly surprised! Tyler knew exactly what questions to ask to figure out how to merge my "want" with what would be realistic, and I ended up with something that was quite literally as close to my desired look as would be possible for my hair. He was very strategic in his application of highlights so that, in the event they didn't take well, I wouldn't absolutely hate it (but they turned out perfect!). This salon is a 50 minute drive from me so I didn't expect to go back, but now I don't want to go anywhere else! Book an appointment with Tyler, he's a rockstar! read more

First off the stylist Tyler did a very nice job on my hair, but what I don't like is getting ripped off. All I wanted was a hair cut, I did mention that I wanted my hair bleached but it was NOT because I didn't schedule that type of appointment. No problem, that was on me. When I was told the total, I was shocked. I was charged 113.00 for the cut. When I asked about the amount, the receptionist said the extra charge was for the fact that my hair was already colored. I went to another salon near by and asked them if this was normal. It's not. I will not be spending another dime in that salon and will warn anyone I know against them. read more

BEWARE! This salon looks like a professional establishment but they are far from it. I made my appointment in advance thinking it would be a great experience but it turned into a nightmare. The salon actually had the nerve to blame me for making an appointment with a Junior Stylist after my sister saw my hair and me in tears. It's obvious they have no concern for their clients or their reputation. I have naturally dark hair and asked for Caramel Highlights. I ended up with Bleached hair literally falling out by the handful. Ayisha is the junior stylist who started working on my hair under the supervision of a more senior stylist. She eventually left and two other employees were directing Ayisha who had no clue as to what was going on or what she was doing. They had the nerve to tell me I needed to cut all my hair off in order to correct the problem and said "oh didn't you come in for a haircut". Who goes into a salon with perfectly healthy hair and comes out with broken, damaged and abused hair? Never in my life have I experienced such unprofessional and careless service from a hair salon. I literally left the salon with my hair soaking wet and falling out! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Mistakes can happen but the response I received from the salon's owner was UNPROFESSIONAL. BLAMING A CLIENT FOR THEIR MISTAKE IS SO WRONG! I will continue to notify any and all potential customers about my horrible experience there. read more

My sisters haor is falling out in patches after a horrible highlight job this week and I can't post the pic.

I personally didn't get my hair done, but i joined a friend who did. Let me say, this place is an absolute rip off. For one, the stylist rushed my friend's foils and took about 15 minutes to do a full head of highlights. She then made us wait almost an hour while she did another clients hair. The stylist cut maybe a quarter of an inch off my friends hair and charged her $43 . She placed very few foils on the bottom half of her hair but seemed to place too many on the top half of her hair. Totally did not listen to what my friend wanted, and she was very disappointed, on top of the fact that she paid literally $150 for a mediocre dye job. Neither of us will ever be clients of this salon again. read more

Had an amazing cut and blow out by the beautiful Candice (Candy). She really gets my hair and I left the salon walking on air. I got so many compliments all weekend and everyone told me I look ten years younger! I will definitely be coming back to Mallia Salon to have Candy do my hair. I am please with the service I have gotten here. Caroline does my highlights and cut just the way I want. They treat you well. I'm not one that really enjoys getting my hair done, but they make it as painless as possible. The atmosphere is relaxing. i had my hair colored here 6+ weeks ago and have subsequently stained towels, sheets, shirts, and dresses. my hair is now falling out and the salon manager will not give me the formula of coloring used. do not go here. they will not communicate with you and they will ruin your hair. covid regulations are also not followed. beware. read more

I gave them a 1 star because I couldn't give it 0 stars. The so called salon and spa provides TERRIBLE customer service. When I called to discuss my complaint, was told the owner would have to call me back. The owner never returned my call, so after four days I called back and she still wouldn't get on the phone to discuss my concerns. She passed the message through the shops manager. I was ready for a new stylist and happened to run in to, and meet Connie for the first time at a party. Found out she was a stylist and said I was looking for a new one. She gave me her card. I waited a week to make the big decision to change from my previous stylist and made my appointment! It was the best thing I have done for myself in a long time. When I entered Mallia they were friendly and welcoming, which I love, because usually when you go to a new salon you sometimes feel out of place. so Connie came out right away, greeted me, asked what we were going to do with my hair. I needed a cut and color, and I needed it bad! She offered me a latte and then we began. I told her the color I was looking for and I didnt even have to pick from a color chart! She nailed it. She then cut my hair and it was probably the best cut I have ever had (not joking). She just did everything perfect. I didnt even have to go home and restyle (like I have had to do in the past). I already booked my next appointment and I am also going to book a facial and probably other services. They are a full service spa and very pretty, I might add. I am so glad I can make this very convenient salon and spa my "go to" for every beauty treatment! read more
