If you're in the mood for a burger, this is a great option. We ordered the blue bacon and the steakhouse with fries. I like that they give you an option to order half French fries and half sweet potato fries. The burgers were really good and the fries were hot and crispy. My wife and I stumbled into this little gem on a quiet Thursday morning and was immediately charmed by its small, vibrant, and colorful atmosphere. My wife and I had dinner here after a long day in Zion hiking and adventuring, and it was perfect. We needed some carbs, and my bolognese pasta did just the trick. It was tasty, flavorful and a good portion. We also split a salad which was fresh and perfect. My wife had the Pomodoro pasta with Shrimp and loved it. Came to Porters after a long day of hiking at Zion after reading reviews online. Sat outside because the weather was so nice (which I dont get to do a lot in Florida, where I'm from). And the views were so incredible. Cindy was our server and she was so funny, sweet and attentive. She made the whole meal even more special! We ordered 2 diet cokes, potato skins, shrimp pesto pasta and the bleu bacon burger with sweet potato fries. The potato skins were crispy, cheesy and fresh tasting. We did, however, order a side of sour cream to go with them. Would recommend. The Bleu bacon burger was cooked to perfection. The fries were also nice and crispy. The shrimp pesto pasta was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Pasta cooked perfectly, tons of big shrimp, pesto was bursting with flavor. And came with two pieces of crispy garlic bread to help soak up all the sauce. Couldn't have been happier with this meal. Overall, it was only $57.36 and considering how great this meal was, seems more than worth it. I really am impressed by how good the food is here in Springdale, Zion! This restaurant is located right next to Bumbleberry's and you enter in through Bumbleberry's door. It's another great breakfast place with lots of great options for a hearty or light breakfast to start your day off well!! We also got a free breakfast voucher here for staying at The Novel House. Sucha good deal because you get a free drink and breakfast item! All we had to pay was tip! I ordered oatmeal because I wanted to be healthy and it was good and came with strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. They also give you a choice of toast (wheat or sourdough) and they have lots of good jam flavors. They also provide raisins in a small cup and milk (lots of options of milk) in a small cup for your oatmeal. And a cup of brown sugar! My husband got the eggs and potatoes with sausage. They even have an ice cream stand nearby, which adds a lovely touch--you can enjoy a sweet treat after your meal or while shopping for some bumblebee berries. I ordered the eggplant pasta, which was truly delightful. I did request it to be made without garlic, but I have a feeling they might not have accommodated that. I was quite hungry at the time and didn't want to make a fuss. For anyone who has allergies to onion or garlic, I would suggest being cautious when dining there. We recently stayed at Bumbleberry Inn and they offer breakfast vouchers for Porter's Restaurant. 1st breakfast we had omelettes. They were a bit under cooked to us but, the potatoes were good. Second day breakfast--NO COFFEE! They tell us to go next door to the coffee shop and buy?!? Seriously!! Then, my husband ordered the Chicken fried steak...it comes out and he takes a bite and says this is not Chicken Fried Steak?! Asked the server she says no it's chicken--then comes back and says I think it's pork?!? I ordered an Ice tea and had to ask 3 times then I got water. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and, unfortunately I threw that up 3 hours later in the parking lot of my next hotel with explosive diarrhea might I add. Not my favorite moment! Had a lovely dinner here after a busy day of hiking in Zion. We planned an impromptu trip to Zion while visiting Vegas, so we had prepared very little. When we finished hiking and decided to grab some food for dinner, not surprisingly many of the restaurants were busy. We found Porter's and decided to give it a try. While the restaurant was busy we were seated almost immediately. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the scenery of the mountains. We got to watch a storm roll in from the distance while we ate our meals and it was amazing. The service was decently fast and very friendly. We had potato skins as an appetizer and they were great. I had a burger and fries as my main meal and it, too, was delicious. My table also enjoyed a pasta dish that looked fantastic. After dinner we went next door to the shop connected to the restaurant and looked through a massive collection of Zion apparel and tourist items. We came here for a complimentary breakfast for our stay at the Bumbleberry Inn. The inside has a retro vibe. We were expecting a breakfast buffet like most hotels offer, but this one has waiters and each person is entitled to an entree and a drink. We got coffees, french toast, and an omelette. We'd hiked several miles in Zion and were hungry and thirsty when we came into Porters for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated quickly by a friendly host. It wasn't busy due to the time of day but it took several minutes for our waitress to come to our table. I don't recall her ever saying her name. And just left two glasses of water on our table and walked away before we could say a word. After waiting another 10-15 minutes I saw her at a nearby table. She left that table and disappeared again. I think the other staff members could see us looking around because one went to get her and she finally came back to our table. She wasn't friendly at all, never offered to tell us the specials and gave us two incorrect drinks after we ordered. We both ordered personal pizzas. Someone else delivered them. We saw her sitting at a table with other employees, eating and laughing. We didn't see her again until two other people were seated next to us. They both ordered well done steak and both came out rare. They flagged her down to tell her and she grabbed their plates without so much as an apology. I never tip less than 20% because I know how hard their job is and how little money they make but I did that day because of her attitude and poor service. Porter's is just you're good ole classic diner! The Bumbleberry Inn has a partnership with Porter's. If you stay there, you get breakfast for free at Porter's. It is quite the deal. The complimentary breakfast includes a main dish and coffee or juice for kiddos. It does not include tip, so please bring some extra cash for the servers. They were in great spirits every morning and work hard to get customers in and out so they can go enjoy the park. They even offer to-go coffee after you've had your cups at the table. Quite generous, kind and appreciated! Over the course of our stay, we tried... Chicken Fried Steak Chicken Fried Chicken Biscuits and Gravy Belgian Waffles (*warning, very sweet!) Denver Omelette Denver Omelette (switched out ham for bacon) My favorite was the Denver Omelette (switched out ham for bacon), while I think my husband's was the Chicken Fried Chicken (of course, lol). The service here is great, they are constantly busy in the morning with everyone waking up to head to the park but they don't lack in service. The food was pretty good. Nothing wow, but just what you need for a long day of bike riding, hiking, and walking around the park. It was raining when we went in but it cleared up pretty quick. And when you look out the window you get a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. There's a coffee and dessert bar, and gift shop attached to browse and buy while you wait. I, myself, was on the fence about the pasta, a sandwich or pizza. Since she suggested the pizza as being so popular, I went with the Hawaiian pizza. The menu says you can request it "inferno style" with fresh jalapenos, crushed red peppers and an "inferno sauce." My partner got the prime rib French dip with fries. The pizza sauce was good but not spicy. I don't know what the "inferno sauce" was or where it was.. but I didn't get any inferno. The majority of my pizza had one jalapeno slice on each piece. It was cubed ham rather than Canadian bacon slices. My partner had a piece of the pizza and agreed it was very average. I tried his French dip and the bottom part of the bread was completely soaked without it being dipped in anything yet. There wasn't very much cheese on the sandwich either. Fries had good texture but wayyy too salty. My partner also tried a piece of the pizza too. He asked me which do I like best out of the two meals we got... I said the sandwich, and he agreed it was better as well but not by much. I would personally say pizza was 5/10 and sandwich was 6/10. The food was just super mid and nothing memorable. The patio experience, on the other hand, was wonderful. Maybe the other food options are better, but what we got was just average. If you're coming for the nice view, it's a nice experience. Such a great selection of food, and everything that came to the table was delicious! We sat on the patio for open-air dining. Hubby had the special buffalo sirloin and gave me a bite, it was cooked to perfection (medium rare as requested). I brought a group of 28 to Porters for dinner in September to kick off a weekend celebrating my 60th birthday. I emailed with the restaurant in advance, as they don't typically serve groups of this size, but Jake said since it was my big 6-0, he'd work with me. We sat at a long table on the outdoor patio - I had selected a single menu item (chicken sandwich) for everyone in advance to help with service. The entire Porter's team did an amazing job getting us seated and served. The drinks came out promptly and the food was delicious. Everyone had a great time, and after a last minute request, Jake even arranged for cookies for us all for dessert. Things definitely close early in Springdale, granted we also went during what I assume is "off-season" so that could be a factor as well. Because everything closes relatively early though and we left Zion right at park close time, we had limited options, but were ravenous and didn't want to wait any longer or go any further for food. That's how we ended up at Porter's and it really hit the spot! The staff were so friendly and welcoming to us. Our waiter was so helpful and recommended different items on the menu to us based on what we were looking for. It made ordering very easy and the service was FAST as well, which was much appreciated. The food was super solid and really hit the spot after a long day of travel to and hikes in Zion and really nourished our exhausted bodies, which is exactly what we needed before we headed to our rental for the night! Porter's shares an entrance with the gift shop and ice cream shop, all within the same building, so once you enter, turn immediately to the left to head into Porter's.
