She was very good about getting as far as she could & then finding a supervisor when she needed a little help. I'm taking off a star because I waited in chairs for about 15 minutes after my appointment time. Also at the end they asked if I wanted to get cash back for my stylist & I got confused & the girl at the desk acted pretty impatient. So FYI in case you also get confused, if you want to tip on a card, they make you get cash back to give them.

And my next appointment would have been a 3rd. Simple because either the student left or kept being unavailable for personal reasons. Well not anymore. After having gone to the school numerous times without a single issue. Now they no longer work with males. So with having a scheduled appointment I was called and told we will not work with you anymore unless you know your specific stylus. Well I've been bounced around so much and the person who I was scheduled with left I don't know anyone. But apparently within the hour they made a sexist discriminatory rule to no longer work with males. Now I received the first call from a receptionist and asked for a call back from an actual person who can answer legitimate questions. The person who called me back didn't do that. I have a right to be upset. What ended up happening is the beyond rude person who contacted me back refused to admit the new practice was both sexist and discriminatory. Basically said you don't like it go somewhere else. Took the stance on we have the right to refuse service to anyone. And that is true and that's fine. But the reality you are limiting the students the ones you're actually trying to teach. I've don't nothing wrong in anyway shape or form. I don't know why this has come about but the way this was handled was beyond unprofessional. As a paying customer. Due to the numerous rescheduling I've allowed. ( today was the first time I had to reschedule ) It is better I go somewhere else. Now for those who plan on going to this school. Be cautious. It is apparent your teachings will be limited. However, learning also requires humility and a willingness to listen--especially when working on someone's natural hair. The student who worked on my hair, Tatum, seemed more interested in projecting confidence than listening to the person whose hair she was servicing. I have 4C natural hair and have specific goals for retaining length and minimizing breakage. I politely explained what works for my hair throughout the process, but my input was met with resistance rather than curiosity. At one point, she even asked if I had gone to cosmetology school because I was giving guidance about my own hair. After applying a demi-color, my hair was not thoroughly conditioned, which is an important step for my hair texture. During the blow-drying process, my hair was repeatedly brushed while dry, causing unnecessary breakage that could have been minimized by properly detangling and conditioning it at the shampoo bowl first. Instead of focusing on technique, there seemed to be more attention given to casual conversation. What disappointed me most was the lack of instruction from the supervising staff. A cosmetology school should be a place where students are actively taught how to work with all hair textures, including tightly coiled 4C hair. Supervisors should be demonstrating, correcting techniques, and encouraging students to listen to clients who know their own hair. My recommendation to Ogle School is to strengthen the training of both students and supervisors when it comes to textured hair. Every client deserves to feel heard, and every future cosmetologist should graduate with the skills and humility to care for all hair types--not just the ones they are most familiar with. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively because there is an opportunity to improve the learning experience for both students and clients.

I wish I would of got a real education in cosmetology. Yes I saved money, they worked with my schedule but at what cost. Being set back, by learning from people that didn't know how to pronounce the words they were teaching. Didn't know much about color or cutting and also just wanted all the students to flat iron hair all day. So many student have been thought this and worst. This school should be shut down. Or not able to receive financial aid.
