Had an amazing meal with my friends. They had the Rodizio which for the most part was great. Only thing was at one point my friend who only likes to eat well done couldn't get any of the meats because they were all coming out with medium/rare meats. At one point I saw one piece of meat that was unevenly cooked, seeing some parts that were medium and parts that are just rare. But that was just one instance I observed. I had a seafood dish with pasta in white sauce which was delicious, though the shrimp was just a little gummy. All in all food was good. Potential to be great is there - but simply too large, too busy and too crowded to pull off acceptable service. Wait staff is over stressed and unable to accommodate the service required for a great dining experience at these prices. Mixing a Rodizio option with regular menu options is a bad idea - either be a Brazilian Steakhouse or not. The steaks that we ordered on 'clay tiles' were not served at the tables on the tiles - they were plopped on the plate and served in a heap. Paella was cold, and requests for water or more bread and butter were ignored mostly due to how busy they were. Tables were crammed together downstairs so closely that you were 'trapped' at your seat and couldn't get up to use the restroom. Floors were dirty and slippery and kind of dangerous. We decided to try to spot out after touring an open house nearby and it did not disappoint. Our previous experience with rodizio was at a famous steakhouse in downtown Newark. This restaurant felt a bit more low key which is what we were looking for. I really like that they have outdoor dining and the tables are spaced out adequately unlike some of the other restaurants I have been to in NJ during these times of covid. The food started out with bread and olives. If you do rodizio, they also provide you with rice with fried banana, black beans, and French fries. The meats came out pretty quickly and consist of grilled chicken, lamb, rib eye (my favorite), skirt steak, ham, turkey among others. We ended the night with the pineapples. Overall we had a nice visit as our first time there. The service was great. There were also many people there celebrating special occasions. You know a place is good when you don't take pics of your food because you want to just eat it and enjoy it. I have been here many times over the years, and always enjoy my meal. They have Rodizio, and that's what we always have. They have a great wait staff and an "old world" feel to their ambiance. This is a good thing as it is very charming. We usually eat here on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, before or after the lunch rush, around 11am or 2pm. We don't have to wait to be seated. I have been here during more common lunch and dinner times, and have had to wait a long time to get seated, so I suggest you come here between popular meal times if you don't want to wait for a table. They also have a party room downstairs and a full bar in the adjacent room to their main dining room. They ask you how you like your meat for the Rodizio (medium, medium well, etc), and they are pretty good for the most part, giving you meats in that level. I enjoy all of their meats. They give you a variety like filet mignon, prime rib, roast beef, skirt steak, bacon wrapped turkey, lamb, chicken, various sausages, steaks, beef and pork ribs, are among the ones I remember. I really enjoy all of them, so you will not be disappointed. I especially love their beef dishes, as their fat melts in your mouth. The sides they give you are fries, rice and beans, and fried bananas. All are good, but my favorite is the fries. They also give you bread upon being seated, which is also very good. We try not to eat these so we have more room for their meats, but we can never help eating them, especially the bread. Parking in this area is very limited, so you are better off using their valet parking service for an easier time. One of these days I will take pics! It's just that when I know we are coming here, I don't eat much prior to coming so I can get the most for my money. By the time I get here, I am starving and can't wait to dig in. They are also pretty fast about getting the food out to you. Their Rodizio prices are pretty standard for Rodizio. They also have a kids Rodizio price, which is less than the adults. For 2 adults and a 10 year old, you will spend around $100 + tip, but in my opinion, it is very worth it. We try to bring as many of our friends and family here that we can, as not many people may know about this place. The reason for this is that they are not on a main road and by the train tracks, and a small place. I think most people come to know them through word of mouth. They also have a large amount of loyal customers that have been coming here for many years. They also have an extensive menu of other items, besides Rodizio. I have never been disappointed when I did not order Rodizio, but in my opinion, their Rodizio is the best thing to get. Check it out for yourself! read more

This is our favorite family or group dinner/lunch in our area. You can literally never go wrong with the food here. I have gotten the paella and it's amazing. The Churrasqueria which is a bunch of different BBQ meats is fantastic and great for sharing. I've also had the seafood pasta in white sauce which is very filling and super tasty. Sometimes the waiters can seem short and unfriendly which is why I won't give it a five star. But not all of them are this way and I guarantee the food is worth it!! Came here for an early Valentine's dinner with my husband. SO GOOD! We are keto (for now) so we definitely enjoyed doing rodizio, the practically nonstop all you can handle meats. Before the meat came out though, they brought sides of rice, fries, fried bananas to us even though we told them not to. They didn't ask us how we like our meat (medium and medium rare) prior to starting, as mentioned by other reviews. Just left here ordered the steak skirt on roof top clay with rice and beans and garlic shrimp on the side. It's my birthday weekend, and while enjoying my food there was a Halls wrapper found in my rice and beans . The waiter manny immediately notified his manager who took his sweet time coming over. Once he came to our table all he did was offer some more rice and beans!!!!! I'm beyond pissed and disgusted, the waiter was the only one who apologized and was deeply saddened by what happen but the manager gave two shits. Stiff competition. Although this place is fantastic, it would be foolish not to take a trip down to Ferry Street and try some of the places there, as well. 2. Parking is so horrible you MUST valet. And the street its located on, (where they park your car) is about 2.5 feet wide. I can only imagine how many missing side mirrors or sideswipes happen. This place is why gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. There is something very primal about this place, as if you were a caveman hunting an animal to feed the clan and put the animal on your sword over the fire and decided to eat right off it. It is a nonstop gorging orgy of goodness. It is a never ended meat feast that will bring out your inner carnivore. Here's the breakdown Food: 4.25 stars: There was literally too much food for one person to handle. Seriously wear loose fitting clothing to allow your stomach to expand. I'll briefly summarize each item. Sides: Bread Basket: Very good Bread. Very hearty. But its really not needed Rice: AMAZING RICE! Some of the best I have ever had. Had the taste of rice pilaf but lasciviously covered in garlic and butter. FYI they are very generous with the use of garlic in a lot of dishes. The rice came with true fried bananas as opposed to plantains. The bananas were fantastic. The banana had the taste and feel of a banana with a dredge as opposed to tostones or plantains in which the texture and taste are altered. 5 stars for this alone Black beans: Very flavorful. Tasted more like Black bean soup as opposed to a vegetable side. Definitely homemade. French Fries: Good French fries but could have used a little more seasoning. Rodizio meat: Lamb: Good crust on the lamb. It could have been a little juicier though. Good overall. Turkey wrapped in Bacon: It's a must have! I mean its Turkey wrapped in Bacon! ENOUGH SAID. Chicken: They used Chicken thighs. Good choice for a rodizio. Very juicy and flavorful. I liked that the left the skin on to baste in its own fat. It's a little salty but nothing overwhelming (Everything is cooked on slow rotisseries) they also made me try chicken heart which was umm... interesting LOL Skirt Steak: Disappointing. A little tough and overcooked. The only one that was really unhappy with. Top Sirloin: Very tender and flavorful. Extremely juicy with just enough seasoning. Near perfect Stuffed Steak (One was stuffed with garlic the other with cheese) Both are really good. The garlic one is drenched with garlic. You will never encounter a vampire for the rest of your life if you eat this. I like how they use Minced garlic plus a garlic oil to really pack a punch. The one stuffed with cheese tasted like Gruyere Swiss. Very good as well. Tastes like a cheese steak without bread. Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon. IT'S A FILET MIGNON WRAPPED IN BACON lol! Very tender very flavorful. Prime Rib, Good but was a little too fatty and not enough meat on it Sausage: Good sausage. Not sure if it was chorizo. A little too charred for my liking but not a deal breaker. Pork Loin: Very tender and juicy. Liked it a lot Serrano Ham: I'm not fond of Ham overall but I tried it and it was decent. Dessert: We both somehow managed to have dessert: The flan which was not good at all. I was surprised how bad it was. It tasted like it was undercooked and too much egg flavor. She had "Cookies and Cream" which was unlike any dessert I have ever seen. It was basically a parfait of cookies and cream. The cream had a zabaglione texture which went well with the crumbled cookie concoction. Tasted rich and decadent. Service: 5 stars: Service was extremely competent, professional and organized. They clearly know how to handle busy times. Atmosphere: 4 stars: Restaurant has a very traditional feel to it. They put roofs on top of the kitchen and faux terraces to create the appearance of a cozy inn. It definitely feels and looks like Brazilian/Basque style architecture in the restaurant. It is a little cramped but nothing unreasonable. It has a nice ambience. Caters well to everyone from 8-80 Conclusion: This place is a must try. Except for the few disappointing dishes, everything is top-notch. You will love the never-ending variety of meats, the really good sides and the extremely efficient service. Be warned; do not eat for the entire day before you come here. But it will be well worth the wait. read more

For my meal, I got the skirt steak b/c I was craving it all week. It was ok- it was a bit fatty and I feel like it could have been seasoned better. My sister got the chicken princessa which was really good. A few of my family members got the rodizio and also enjoyed it. For dessert, i got the tiramisu and it was ok- didnt seem very fresh to me. THe cookies and cream pudding dessert was pretty good. I did feel like the prices were a bit high for what we were getting. This is a great restaurant if you like feeling like you are being watched. I frequent this restaurant with my family. We eat a lot and we tip 20% or above. On the last few visits I've had a problem with the management. They tried to charge us an extra rodizio because we share the pineapple that comes at the end. Mind you we were a group of 7 and ordered 7 entrees and appetizers (not the cheap stuff either). On the way out the management told us not to return. Being regulars who spend a lot of time and money here I found this to be incredibly disrespectful and rude. They apparently do not care to retain customers. This was actually one of my favorite restaurants but dealing with the manager is very unpleasant. The first time here we received slightly better service- maybe it was because it was for a birthday. The rodizio was pretty awesome- I couldn't even go through all the different types of meat because I was thoroughly stuffed. They brought us bread with butter and the rodizio came with rice, beans and fries on the side as well. I didn't find a type of meat I didn't like. They ended the night with grilled pineapples too. yum. Second time here, the wait was pretty long so we decided to grab a drink and appetizer at the bar. The service was good and the bartender was willing to accomodate our every need. The fried calamari that we ordered was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was delicious. I ordered a chicken dish and the wine/garlic sauce was one of the best i've had. I had to hold myself back from drinking it from the bowl. Maybe the restaurant was short staffed this time around, but the meat for rodizio came really slowly and the time it took for them over 15 minutes to clear our plates and get us our check. Didn't even get the grilled pineapple. Also, they should update their website, because I think it said the rodizio was $21 when in reality it was about $28. Large tented outdoor area and 2 rooms inside on ground level and a downstairs which is a bit claustrophobic with poor acoustics due to a somewhat low ceiling.
