He was knowledgeable, thorough, and incredibly patient while explaining what was being done. I mean, I wasn't expecting to call an electrician today...but I also wasn't expecting to wake up to…read morepartial power, then have Huntsville Utilities tell me my main meter box was "shooting sparks" and have them yank my power completely off, warning me to call an electrician ASAP. I called around to various places, but Brown and Love were the only crew that sent someone out ASAP. They were on the job pretty much immediately, diagnosing the problem and quickly surmising this was going to be the job from hell because of our huge amp box. Now, when you're told that you may be looking at several THOUSANDS of dollars to get your power back on...you're not happy. However, I think Michael was madder about this than I was (I just wanted power at that point) as he and the crew spent HOURS--yes, hours--finding a cheaper option. And what do you know, they did. While we were waiting for parts sourcing they also removed a light fixture, changed out a ceiling fan, and replaced some blank breakers. We had TWO guys out working ALL DAY, they promised me they would fix the problem (and they did!), they were super friendly, and the price was more than reasonable (and not several thousand dollars, due to the fact they weren't trying to price gouge us). 100% ethical, honest, legit business who we'll call again once the dreaded electrician is needed.

Brooks repairs two of our external door locks this week and the technician did a great job! He was…read morepersonable, worked quickly, and rather than charge us to go get a part he needed be waited while my husband went to Lowe's to get the part. It's great to have knobs that work! The only ding is, I asked him to make two additional keys to one lock, which he did, but he didn't give them to me. I tried to get his attention as he drove off and was unsuccessful. I had a very disappointing experience with Brook's Lock and Key…read more Before making the 15-mile drive to the store, I called to ask for an estimate to have two new vehicle keys cut. I was told I needed to bring the keys in for an estimate. When I arrived, I was not greeted and initially felt more like an inconvenience than a customer. After explaining that I had called earlier, I was asked to show the keys. When I questioned why I had to drive in just for a quote, I was told they needed to determine whether the keys were programmable. I explained multiple times that I only needed the keys cut, not programmed. During the conversation, another employee questioned how I planned to program the keys, and the interaction came across as condescending. Eventually, I was quoted $5 per key and agreed to proceed. Before cutting them, I was given a no-refund disclaimer because the keys were not purchased from their store. I accepted that and understood they could not guarantee aftermarket keys, but I expected that the keys would at least be cut correctly. After driving another 15 miles home, I discovered neither key would even turn in the ignition. I called the store and was instructed to make another 15-mile trip back so they could recheck them. Once there, I was told the keys may have been cut too shallow and that there was nothing more they could do. I was again reminded of the no-refund policy. Only after the failed attempt was I told that keys manufactured in China often have problems and that they regularly encounter issues with them. Had that information been provided upfront, I could have made a more informed decision before paying for the service. I understand that aftermarket parts can sometimes present challenges, but I believe customers should be informed of known risks beforehand, and I do not believe a no-refund policy should excuse an improperly cut key. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service, unnecessary trips, and unusable keys, I cannot recommend Brook's Lock and Key. I wish I had gone to Blair & Sons from the beginning

This summer, my air conditioner stopped working. First thing in the morning, I looked up HVAC…read moreservices nearby and picked these guys since they were open early and they were the closest. Somebody responded immediately and sent a technician in the afternoon. The tech did a thorough checkup and identified that the capacitor had gone bad. They also suggested that I replace the entire HVAC unit since it is almost 20 years old. I requested a quick fix which is to replace the capacitor. Capacitors seem to be very cheap when purchased online. They charged way more than the price, of course factoring in the time and labor involved with the analysis and replacement, it was reasonable. The tech who showed up was very knowledgeable. A few months later, in winter and a day after the first frost, my heater stopped working and I spent an entire night shivering in the cold. First thing in the morning, I requested conditioned air solutions for a technician and they sent someone within a couple of hours. The tech spent a lot of time checking the hvac system and identified the same issues as the previous tech mentioned. This technician was also very knowledgeable and answered all my questions patiently. It was apparent that my HVAC is getting old and I could no longer continue with the temporary fixes. I decided to replace the entire thing and conditioned air solutions gave me an estimate and a payment plan. After I agreed, they booked a technician within a couple of days. The entire process went smoothly and their technicians have done an awesome job with the installation. They cleaned up well afterwards. I could not be happier with the service. I suspect that their prices might be a bit higher, but from what I understood talking to their techs is that the company pays them well and treats them well. So, all is well! I highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.
