Idk why Ive never left a review for Soldier Field but Ive had so many different experiences here ranging from terrible to great. This is based off of the BTS concert and it was fantastic! Pay for the parking garage. So easy to get in and out of the stadium. We had seats on the 100 level and we made it to our seats pretty quickly. The view was great from our seats. *Depending on if you are going to Uber the walk to that is a nightmare. Ive gotten stuck in that for multiple concerts.

When the Foo Fighters come into town,you can expect a long show with great music,sound and visuals. This was a 3 hr set! We sat in the Club Section on level 2. Sound was great! Unfortunately Soldier Field still has not figured out the long bathroom lines ! Expect a slow exit especially for a Sold Out concert but definitely worth it to see one of your favorite bands!

Amazing night not only for the perfect 72 degree temperature, ease of access from the ride-share drop off to the entrance, excellent views from the club seats, nearby restrooms with short lines if you timed it right but all in all the best venue to hold over 60K Foo Fighters fans to see Dave Grohl capture everyone's attention for three hours! Unfortunately we missed all but the last song for Queens Of The Stone Age because of another event we had that afternoon. The sound was amazing and I could hear every word clearly which is rare for an outdoor concert. The negative is the agonizingly slow exit. We shuffled along like cattle through exits out to Grant Park. It all ended with fireworks. A night not to be forgotten.

Gummy bears are soft. The jelly beans are sugary. Classic Chicago hotdogs and deep dish on the menu. Since this was BTS concert they had Korean fried chicken and it was delicious.

Went for BTS 2026. Getting into the arena was super weird.. we had seats in section 240 , and wasn't allowed up the escalator. The woman directed us into section 100 instead, making us walk through slow crowds and wasting a lot of time. I may just be uninformed on how things work here, but was frustrating in the moment. The seat was good, and honestly i enjoy the rows above us keeping the rain away! Overall, the seats were great and i loved the view.

Been here for Chicago Bears games but not a concert. We attended the Bruno Mars concert and it was fun the concession prices and getting out of the stadium is a nightmare. I would not recommend going to a concert here, especially seating in the 300 and 400 levels. It was the worst experience trying to get down to the lower levels to exit. I swear getting seemed like it too longer than the concert itself. I wish they had people directing fans to the exits. If you get stuck in a spot where it doesn't lead you to the ramps, then you have to funnel through a 10 foot wide opening. Lastly, the concession prices are CRAZY. Overall Bruno put on an unforgettable show but Soldier Field and the logistics can be better.

Here to see Bruno Mars concert and we are at the 300 level seat to get drinks and food and it is very busy and it is very accessible to the bathrooms and a lot of bathrooms and tables to sit and eat at. There's air conditioner here and it feel great bc it's a hot day today. Had some locally made Chicago chips that were good (a little on the salty side but good). Expensive food but what can one do. Polish sausage is huge and really good. Forgot to take a photo of it.

The whole event went so well and we really enjoyed our moments here. The seats and all are clean but there are limited snacks and drinks for concert. Also, the crowd control is not that great but overall. We had a very good experience for that evening.

It would be great to have a better walkway from where you park to get to the actual stadium. Otherwise, I like the historical memorabilia, and the fact that it honors soldiers.

I really enjoyed my first visit to this stadium to watch a Chicago Fire soccer game. Every seat seems like a good view. Really fun ambiance. Lots of fire effects and good music. The concessions were delicious too. Mr. Beef sandwiches were excellent. Serious security. They went through my clear bag thoroughly twice and scanned me with their wand. I love the location. I took a nice walk along Lake Michigan afterwards. I look forward to attending more events here.

This August I attended both a Bears preseason game and the My Chemical Romance concert, and I enjoyed myself thoroughly at both events. That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it?

We spent some time in Chicago Ill recently. As a football fan (though not a Chicago Bears fan) I couldn't resist making a visit to Soldier Field. Even on a non-gameday... Perched proudly on the edge of Lake Michigan, just south of the shimmering glass and steel of downtown Chicago... Soldier Field stands not merely as a stadium, but as a monument to American grit and sporting legend. As you walk around the stadium, you'll notice the contrast between the original row of columns (a nod to its 1920s heritage) and the modern renovations completed sometime in the early 2000s. Whether you love or hate the updated design it's visually striking... The stadium, originally known as Grant Park Municipal Stadium, was renamed Soldier Field in 1925 in honor of the men and women of the armed forces. The Veterans Memorial Wall, near the stadium's base, brings a moment of quiet reverence. Names etched in granite. Flags snapping in the wind. It's a reminder that this stadium stands not just for entertainment, but in remembrance... Soldier Field is a tribute... To history. To heartbreak. To heroism. To a city that bleeds navy and orange, with a skyline in its chest and a lake at its feet...

I've seen Bp in a hockey rink, an NBA arena, and now a football stadium. I suspect the next Blackpink tour will be in space. Any who, let's talk about Soldier Field. I was excited to see Blackpink again, but I was also excited to check out Soldier Field. It's not a place I've been or a place I'll ever go since I'm not a Bears fan. (Steelers for life). When it comes to NFL stadiums, I've been to a few(Indy, Cincinnati, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Detroit). And now Chicago... and it's probably for the best that they're moving to a new stadium sooner rather than later. It's fine, and I'm sure it serves its purpose well, but you can definitely tell it's dated. That old feel does add a certain historic charm to the place, but in this situation, I'm not jaded by that history. To be one of the major markets in the US, and sit right next to the city and Lake Michigan, you would expect magnificent. You can't even get to the place easily. It's a bit over a mile walk from the train, even. That part wasn't a huge deal because we walked in, but even the parking seemed lacking. Security seemed to be all over the place. One thing to note if you're visiting for a concert. Check their bag policy. They're super strict and won't let you in. They'll send you around to the lockers, which are south of the stadium. If you're entering on the north side and have to utilize the lockers, you're going to be walking an extra 2 miles before you make it into the venue. Another oddity for us was that they had part of the concourse closed. So walking in... we could've been in our seats in 5 minutes. Instead, we had to walk around the concourse to the other side(about 15 minutes) before we reached our section. Aside from that, the self-checkout concessions were awesome. The place was clean, and the staff was ready to answer any questions and direct you if needed. I'd likely attend another concert here, but if the touring act visits another city or venue in proximity, I'd opt for the other venue/city.

Omg, Soo many steps. I missed a step when leaving- only cracked my phone screen, didn't break an ankle. I did see someone with a messed up ankle though. Sound quality was good for the concert I attended last weekend. My first time at this venue. I like how it was open to the elements. It is a long walk to the restrooms from my "cheap" seats. I recommend limiting liquids, but observing the obscene and obligatory drunkenness around me, not everyone feels this way ... Show was Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, cause who could say no to that. read more

Saw a concert there and was easy to get to via public transportation. Down side was many vendors ran out of non alcoholic drinks early on. All the beer you want, but hard to find water. read more

The absolute worse place to attend a concert. We attended the AC/DC concert on Saturday and it was a complete waste of time & money. The audio was awful. We only stayed 45 minutes into the set and left. It just so happened to be the most expensive concert we attended and so underwhelming. Sitting in our car listening to a Playlist would have been better. So sad. Also, event staff was very unhelpful, no direction. They were busy looking at their cell phones, rather than being helpful. read more

As someone who goes to concerts alone, I was extremely nervous to attend a concert at a stadium as big as Soldier Field. However, I was pleasantly surprised! My first time at Soldier Field, I attended a BTS concert. There was a designated drop off site and there were numerous signs directing you where to go to check in. They had multiple lines for floor ticket holders which made the wait incredibly short. I waited less then ten minutes to get in, which was super fast for how big the crowd was. I can't speak for the merch or food lines, however, I noticed they had a ton of booths for merch which was convenient. They also had booths that helped you connect your lightstick for the concert which I thought was really nice as well! Unfortunately it started to rain during the concert, but there were several staff members who were handing out free rain ponchos when I was walking to my seat. All in all, the concert was great and I've always had a great experience at Soldier Field. The only downside is that getting out of the concert was a bit hectic as they also closed off their pick up area and so many people were walking around aimlessly trying to find their rides. read more

Best stadium in the nfl. No such thing as a bad seat. Sat in 400 level seats and did not feel as if I was in the sky. The players did not look like ants on the field. Also, surprisingly, the bathrooms were clean! Hopefully when the Bears move to Arlington Heights I get the same experience. Btw, parking sucks!!!!! Do not drive!!!!! Would have given 5 stars but get one less star because of parking! read more

Helllooo Chicago! One of the key places that's a must stop on your Chi-town bucket list has to be soldier field. Home to the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Fire MLS team and countless concerts and events, there's so many opportunities to visit this stadium located right off beautiful Lakeshore Drive downtown Chicago. I had the privilege of visiting for the first time for a country concert and absolutely loved it! You can feel the breeze right off the lake as well as enjoy the skyline right outside. I would recommend planning your visit soon! read more

A pop-up movie theater in downtown Chicago? Yes! Thank you to the folks at Chi-Together for pulling this off! Movie showings Wednesdays - Sundays, lot opens at 7pm, movie begins at 8:30pm, lot closes at 11pm. $55 per car (6 people max) or $55 for 6 people w/o car. There are 3 screens in the lot. Every other parking spot is X'd off from being used for social distancing. Port-a-johns available. Concession stands. You can bring chairs to sit in front of your car, if you want. Wear a mask to use the facilities or to purchase snacks. 1 free tub of popcorn per ticket. A gorgeous night to enjoy a movie outdoors. DJ plays 80's music before the movie begins. Highly recommend this experience. read more

Been going to Bears games here for years. It's a badly designed stadium. From the bathrooms to the concessions there isn't much to like here. The problem is you have a concourse w long long lines for concessions which stops the flow of people trying to get from and to their seats. It's abysmal. Don't get me started on how slow the concessions is either. On top of the fact that this stadiums entrances and exits funnel to two main ways in and out, which is a disaster waiting to happen. Still not sure how this passed a fire/safety inspection.. after games it's a herd of cattle out both ways.. it's terrible. Can't get to Arlington heights fast enough... read more

One of the worst venues you can ask for. The water policy is borderline unsafe because of course you can only buy water inside but it is also server in thin plastic cups with NO LIDS. It is horrendously expensive and one time we bought the water because it was August in almost 90 degrees weather, put it in the holder in front of us, lady put her arm around her husband and DIPPED HER WHOLE HAND in the cup we haven't started drinking yet. Therefore if you can afford a luxury of buying water at ridiculous price ahead of 2hr+ concert in sweltering heat you cannot put it down for a second and you still might end up spilling it if someone bumps you. They also have no policy on smoking. Went to the concert this summer and more people were smoking around than not, including straight weed, with absolutely no enforcement in place. So if you have asthma or other condition then you're basically 100% excluded from bunch of events unless you're willing to risk medical emergency or hospital stay after. Also, happened to be in the concert few years ago that was cut short and "evacuated" because of the weather. Evacuation meant standing in one spot for 20 min in pouring rain until people below somehow get through the gates or to the shelter area. At least the atmosphere was great and in all that people kept chanting songs with the band gone. The seats are insanely close, on certain shows where you have to stand, forget not being rubbed against by strangers purely because of lack of space. Going forward I will just pay more attention to Lallapolooza and favor concerts over there. read more

We came here for the Ed Sheeran concert recently, and having been to other large venues in other cities, we were pleasantly surprised by the large amount of staff present and the ease of entering and exiting the venue. We got seats in the 200s area which is near the United Club section which is a nicer area of the venue with air conditioning, bars and food. The food can be pricey depending on what you get. It was $28 for a hot dog, popcorn and chicken tenders. Also they don't let you bring any drinks in, so of course the most expensive thing there is the water. $18 for 2 people (?!). The hot dog is very basic but we enjoyed the tenders and popcorn (from nuts on Clark). The seats were comfortable for stadium seats. We always get the seats at the end of the aisle and closer to the back. If you are seeing an evening show in the summer, the seats facing west will get hot when you have the sun directly on you. We were far back enough that we didn't get direct sunlight. Also do yourself a favor and park in the Waldron garage if you can as it's the closest to the venue and if you can quickly get to your car, the less you have to wait to get out of the area in the parking lot traffic into Chicago. read more

Pretty solid stadium however I am hoping they move the bears to Arlington. Parking situation out here is expensive and not the best. Keep in mind, it's Chicago, lots of crime. Keep your eye out when visiting soldier field. Be aware of your surroundings. Not many places to tailgate either if you are going to a bears game here. They had deep dish pizza, nachos, hot dogs the usual for stadium food. Wish they'd bring a Lou Malnatis & Portillos here to the concession. It's right on the lake so bring warm clothing!!! read more

As a season ticket holder and die hard Detroit Lions fan, I've always wanted to visit soldier field for a game. My Wife and I decided to spend a weekend in Chicago and get tickets to the Lions/Bears game. We had tickets in section 131 which is the lower level 10 yard line. The game itself was very fun as the lions came away with a win and bears fans were overall very cool to be around. NEGATIVES: Food options are not great. My wife went to get food at a stand that said hot dogs, beer, pizza, tenders, etc. When she went to order, they were either completely out or they didn't sell the item there although the signage said differently. Staff was very rude. What's up with that? The concourse is very crammed for space. Long food and bathroom lines make it very hard for fans to navigate their way around the concourse. THE BATHROOMS!!! There are limited bathrooms at this stadium. The lines at the concourse bathrooms were long with limited toilets. We were forced to walk to the lower "basement" level bathroom where there was no joke 150 people in line to use the men's bathroom. This alone made the game day experience less desirable. This experience made me appreciate Ford Field that much more. While I'm happy the lions got the win, it was fun to experience another stadium. If the Bears improve their game day experience for fans, it would make trips to their stadium more enjoyable. read more

Saw two concerts here this past summer. Someone needs to put this venue out of its misery. Not one redeeming quality to it. Plus it is unsafe. There is NO way people could evacuate in enough time. The emergency announcement at the beginning has horrible audio. Horrible delays getting in and out of the stadium and the area for both concerts. They take your water bottle cap that you purchase seeing that you might throw it on the field. Um...Soldier Field, I think you have bigger issues at hand. Stay away from this horrible venue if possible. read more

Came here for the first time for the Fire home opener and it was so much fun! The staff were all so friendly and the bartenders on the 200 club level were amazing. There isn't a bad seat in the house it seems, as the bowl appears to be narrower than other places I've been and provides better viewing from all angles. I only wish the food variety was better or featured local foods/vendors in addition to the traditional stadium food. The polish sausage stand though? Absolutely incredible. Came back to it at the half for another one but the line was wrapped all throughout the concourse, but for GOOD reason. Would definitely recommend getting one early on before others get the same idea! read more

Getting here is horrible. The traffic is incredible. Getting out of here is equally horrible. We are on the club floor for the Pink concert. 1000 people are standing and pushing in thr hall to get down the stairs. If there was a fire everyone would fry. I hope the Bears dont stay here. The traffic and crowd problems are too much to bear. read more

Soldier Field..... where to begin. I've been to a couple concerts here and a few Bears games. All in all, not a bad place. Parking and getting in/out remain my top concerns. Game day parking seems to revolve around various color coded coupons, though I could not find a way on the Bear's website to obtain a coupon. Should be an option right when you purchase a game ticket. We were able to eventually park in the north garage for $55, though not without circling way around the south end and heading back north. Public transportation getting here isn't terrible but getting out is. Too many people all vying for the few busses or taxis or Ubers. Something needs to improve here. We've literally walked blocks during the summer concert season just to get clear of here and over to Michigan Ave. Food choices are what one would expect: burgers, various sausages, pizza, etc. I didn't see any tacos, but I could be wrong. Beer choices are really boring. $11 domestic drafts, $13 premium drafts. Nothing to write home about. Would love to see some more craft beer choices. Food and drink prices are high but what isn't these days? I remain hopeful the Bear's will build a new domed stadium soon. read more

Went to a game today, was absolutely horrible getting in and out of the stadium, and the lack of bathrooms is ridiculous. Getting to the upper levels with a handful of ramps is a joke, causing thousands of people to be moving like cattle, and causing long delays. read more

First Bears game 12-5 driving was a mess. Parked at the cash lot which is close enough to walk. We were in section 435 row 37 which is the very top. Be prepared for a hike. This section is high with many stairs. Nice view of the lake but in the shade the whole time. Bathroom lines were long but moved quickly and staff cleaned fairly frequently. Food lines moved relatively quick as well and hotdog/beer staff continuously made rounds near our seating area. read more

Came here for a Chicago Fire FC soccer game. Super nice stadium, there's like no bad seats anywhere. You're still able to get pretty good views anywhere. The security is pretty strict about bags though. This is the first stadium that I've been to that actually measured how big my clutch was to see if it was bigger than the 4.5 x 6.5 size restriction. Concession stands were a tad bit disappointing with the alcohol options. They don't have any hard seltzer! That's the trend nowadays how do you not have hard seltzer? Otherwise, it's a decent 15 min walk from the CTA. Staff members were wearing masks at all times. Hand sanitizer is clearly marked with signs to help you easily locate them. read more

First time watching BTS live and in person plus the opportunity for soundcheck which was such an incredible experience! Even in the pouring rain and the cold Chicago weather, BTS gave it their all singing and dancing in the rain. It was such a magical experience and I was dancing the entire concert jumping up and down, cheering on BTS! Can you believe, just a little over five years ago, these boys were handing out flyers in LA for a free concert and now they're on a sold-out stadium tour throughout the US in LA, Chicago and NY/NJ, performing on GMA, late night shows, US media, radio, AMA, BBMA, and the UN?! I mean where has BTS not performed yet?! Truly talented artists! Floor seats at Solider Field was super awesome and the United Club was a nice place to take a break in between soundcheck and the concert performance. Although food and drinks are always on the pricey end inside stadiums, there were still a decent amount of options available. Also, parking was $50... so be sure to come with a group! The field's security is great, parking is well organized, bathrooms are clean enough, the stadium is a nice place to be at. The United club is a really nice area. The buffet is ok for most food, a lotta stuff is dry. The desserts are quite good though. read more

What can I say? It's pre season so tickets are cheap and that's why we are here. I will give a shout out to Aramark for serving Miller Lite! Unlike the other contractors in the other sports arenas, you are making sure your fan base is happy. The prices are what they are - but the vendors were selling can for 9.25. Make them an even 10 (or 9) so those poor guys dont have to carry around quarters! Bathrooms were clean and there wasn't a wait - but I cant imagine what that looks like during a regular season when it's cold out - all those jackets and coats. Also, the bathrooms still had paper towels - not super sustainable. Also, with all the beer cans, I didnt notice any recycling option. Come on, Soldier Field, you can do better. read more

I absolutely love Soldier Field, I hate the thought of the Bears leaving . Like most stadiums even the high rise seats are good to watch the game from. The only issue I have is parking isn't as easy as other stadiums but the walks not so terrible if the weather is decent. read more

So......here are my thoughts on Soldier Field. I actually love it from a sight line perspective. It's built for FOOTBALL. The stands are close to the field and steep inclines make it so nobody is going to block your view. Watching the game. Only thing IN the stadium to complain about is the width of the seats. Could use probably another 2 inches. - A+ If you have to go to the bathroom - different story! Modern stadiums have video screens everywhere. Hell, Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, WI is old as hell, but has updated there facility so you won't miss a play. I would have given an F in this area, but they came up with a big save in the form of a food truck. Robinson's BBQ is definitely my favorite place for BBQ in The Windy City. The pulled chicken sandwich was amazing - however...... Amenities - D. It's frickon terrible to get to, but so beautiful along the lake. I mean - it's the worst stadium I've ever been to and I've been to quite a few. Awkward as hell. Very little parking (even season ticket holders have to win a lottery drawing for the limited spaces that do exist) Location - C I would definitely say it's imminent that they move. I've been to the Cowboys spot and if they can build something like that out in Arlington Heights it would be awesome. The people who are super nostalgic would be crushed - but it would be about 1000 times more convenient for their overall fan base. read more

Be careful buying drinks from the vendors on the stands, they add a tip and don't care. Go to the shops and get your beers and avoid any issues. They tend to add a 15% tip when you give them your card read more

Ed Sheeran concert just fine. As for Soldier Field, it's basically the largest venue in Chicago and there were No Usher to guide you to your seats In The Dark. Good luck getting the person out of your seat in the noise with no lights. The food choices was less compared to say Wrigley (Cubs)or Comiskey(Sox). The L stop (Train) is a mile walk to the stadium. If you drive or take the bus - fogget about it. Traffic will make you cry read more

Criticism of the stadium itself stands since it's still pretty difficult to navigate. It's gotten better than I remember though. Even with about 60k screaming Mexico fans, we made it to our seats for the Gold Cup final and didn't even miss much of the match waiting in beer or bathroom lines. I haven't been to Soldier's Field or a Bears game in well over two decades, so I was happy for the opportunity to be here for the Bears/49ers game. The game itself was a lot of fun, and even though I was up high and far back, we still had a great view and I could see everything going on. The stadium itself and it's amenities are the reason it's lacking. Bathrooms are alright, par the course for stadiums, though they would benefit for a dedicated entrance and exit I think. Concessions were really disappointing though. My parry and I waited for a while just to find out that they were running out of food and had to cook more, but somethings were running out (fries). My friends left lines for another one, I waited in the same one. They ran into three lines that ran out of food and missed an entire quarter, where I got lucky and got a double order of chicken tenders to make up for no fries, and that's the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2. You'd think they would have better supply for food and at least keep cooking consistently going. I understand long lines but not running out of food. I'd come here again for the games, but I'd definitely avoid food lines. Beer might be quicker from a wandering vendor but that's the only thing I'd buy. read more

I honestly think Soldier Field is the most overrated stadium in Chicago! They should of tore this stadium down instead of trying to be like Wrigley Field! It is such a bottleneck of a stadium!! No wonder the Bears want to move to the suburbs. Traffic control was an absolute failure around the stadium for the Ed Sheeran concert last night. The City workers shut down the off ramp leading to 18th Street from Columbus Drive. Vehicles were trapped in a gridlock for several hours. Concert goers could not be picked up in an efficient and orderly manner after the concert. People were scattered all over the place. I witnessed one traffic accident as a result of this traffic congestion nightmare! I will never go down to Soldier Field again! read more

There's a smoking area across from the concessions that's pretty large where people go to look at the lake and skyline so yes. Maybe officially it's just for vaping (I don't smoke) but lots of people were smoking lots of things without consequence.

Taking young kids to their first concert here and hear they close off traffic for an hour post concert and you need to walk at least a mile to the designated car service area. Anyone know a way to get picked up close to solider field?

Any Ubers or taxis get stopped before the bridge, so it's impossible to get closer unless you drive and park in the parking lot for Soldier Field.

Most sections had no security so there were many people who kept seat hoping. It was mainly an issue for people who had front row seats since people would sneak into your spot if you left to use the restroom, to the bar, etc.. they'd move out of your spot once you returned but it's still annoying to have to repetitively do that if you need to leave for a short period of time. My son got 4 free tickets from the American Diabetes Association since the Sky was featuring a Dribble to Stop Diabetes campaign throughout the game. They also presented a check at halftime for the ADA. The Sky play at Allstate Arena, not UIC Pavilion as they did in the past. I had my misgivings, since the Sky have a lackluster history of losing. Lucky for us, we saw a sharp team beat the Seattle Storm 78-69. The game experience was great despite only 1/4 capacity at the arena. The upper balconies were closed and there were still lots of empty seats in the mezzanine area. Heck, I saw empty courtside chairs up-front. But make no mistake, these fans are loud! It was as loud, if not louder than a Chicago Rush arena football game with a packed house of 16,000. If these fans came to a Rush game, there would be structural cracks from all the noise they'd produce. The typical Sky fans are sporty teen and pre-teen girls who are probably into basketball themselves, and their moms. I also saw lots of kids. An open area behind the basketball net allowed plenty of kids to come out and run around or dance during songs between periods or when the announcer asked fans to dance and wave to the cameras. There are plenty of diversions during timeouts, with an assortment of contests, games and a pretty acrobatic mascot who seemed to be everywhere. The women playing the game are true athletes. Forget the money, leave the egos. They play the game because they love it. There was no showing off, no trash talk or distracting displays of pompousness you'd get from an NBA team. The Sky have 3 very talented ladies this year, all of whom are headed to the WNBA all-star game. They play good defense, block shots, collect rebounds and get the ball in the net. All the excitement of seeing a game without the superfluous nonsense. I was genuinely pleased with the family-friendly atmosphere and the 2 hours of constant entertainment. Besides, there's plenty of room on the Sky bandwagon.

Since the championship they have produced a 41-83 record and that's not counting this season. My daughter loves our seats but it's too much to pay given our economy. Even with people in neon vests on the street directing traffic, it was chaotic. I can't figure out why they'd put an arena this size in a tiny footprint in a crowded city. The seats were tiny, uncomfortable, and the steps to them so steep that older folks were really struggling to climb them. The acoustics were good. I could clearly hear the speakers. Looking for a new coach? Why not hire another MLS/U.S. college retread instead of an internationally respected guy. Have one of the worst calls in the history of the World Cup made against you (when even the BBC says the United States shouldn't have had a goal waived off against Slovenia when their home team is fighting in the same group)? Filing a protest would take too much effort and paperwork. It's much easier just to sit back and hope to get a better referee next time. Pressure MLS to conform better to the international calendar. Why? Because it would help player development to have them available for games. Unnecessary! Get the United States team back into the Copa America? Why test it against the best national teams in South America? They might get intimidated, lose confidence. Yet, somehow, despite Enron/Goldman Sachs/BP level incompetence at the top, a rag-tag band of second-tier European players and MLS all-stars managed to get to the second round of the World Cup and won its group over England in the process. These players with unbreakable hearts came from behind twice and scored in the last couple of minutes of the final group game to do so. They stared elimination in the face twice and laughed! Laughed not out of hubris but out of hope. Maybe that flows from the top, but I doubt it. Anyhow, despite the U.S.S.F., I'm proud of my home country's soccer team. No need to look overseas for a team to support when the United States plays a no-diving (okay, not much, Jozy Altidore does go down a bit easy), offense-minded, soccer that matches the kind of soccer that people in the United States would like to see the whole world play. And the leadership hasn't been all bad. The U.S.S.F. is trying hard to bring the World Cup back to U.S. soil in 2018 or 2022. They finally opened a training center in 2003. And you can't argue with results like a second place in the Confederations Cup and consistent women's team success. Still, if we had a better governing body in the United States, soccer success on the men's side might have come to the United States a long time ago.

Live Nation often sells upgrades to the Club. Is it worth it? Depends. If you have really good seats and the weather is good? Probably not. If you have cheap seats or don't care if you are not close, not bad. The included buffet is convenient but not great. It is almost always consists of meatballs, mashed potatoes, some kind of pasta or salmon and salad or a vegetable. Monotonous and just not concert food.

I've been a Chicago house fan since high school -- growing up in the city, it was the soundtrack to weekends, late-night drives, and house parties. Being at the pavilion, surrounded by that familiar beat, took me right back. The energy was unreal -- dancing on the lawn under the skyline, hearing the bass echo off that beautiful metal architecture. The crowd was full of longtime fans and new ones, all moving together like we'd done this a hundred times before. I love my city!

Act One: driving in to park, and we find out we need to pay $50 to park at an event where I payed $53 for a ticket. Two lanes of traffic instructed to turn right at the closest parking entrance, while the entrance a couple hundred feet down is waving us on to drive in and park. we attempt to go straight to this second (no traffic) parking entrance and an SP parking attendant yells and says we cannot go straight (despite the waving attendant). the driver of our car is frustrated with this clear inefficiency and useless increase in wait time and flips the bird at the offending attendant. said attendant then absolutely loses his mind, if he had one to start. he verbally assaults our car for 2 minutes, saying that the driver of our car is a "fucking bad parent" while the 8 year old can clearly hear him. he is demanding that we back up and are "not allowed to park here." as our driver apologized, saying he should not have flipped the bird, finally the attendant realizes that his outrageous demand is impossible, as we have been blocked in by two additional cars ready to park. the juvenile attendant realized his loud barking was useless as the window for his bite closed. as we entered the garage, our 8 year old broke down in tears, afraid that the man would, "come get her." we spent 15 minutes having her cry it out and reassuring her that she was safe. all because an imbecile attendant who can't take an occasional bird regarding the absolute atrocity of planning. Act Two: I have attended multiple NFL games. never once have i been instructed to bring my METAL CONTAINING bag through the metal detector. FIVE. TIMES. For all sporting events i attend, i try to be very conscious of the rules of the location and prepared by the time i am at the front of the line. "Maybe it's your watch," as i angrily throw the fitbit in the bin. BEEEEEP. nope, it's my fucking bag that has a metal snap. the bag that has already been hand-checked and approved by security. so now i am 'that bitch' who held up the line. finally he tells me to step back and wands my body (not my jacket or bag). i fill the silent, absence of beeping with comments like, "well i'm wearing an underwire bra," and, "do you think it's my IUD?" soaked in sarcasm. what absolutely mental individual thought that sending 30,000 (mostly) women through a metal detector with their purses would turn out well? 0 stars, do not recommend, and the Bears suck. read more

Soldier Field reminds me of that 80's mini-series "V the final battle" where the giant spaceships land in the city. Unfortunately for the residents of Chicago, this mothership ain't leaving. Like boarding the mothership, entry into Soldier field is fraught with dangers and like the V series, the security staff guarding the mothership are cold-bloded and bent on world domination. I haven't actually seen them eat rats yet, but based on the way they treated me for foolishly trying to bring an umbrella into the stadium, they might just have a special room for that. As a side note: apparently an umbrella is too dangerous to have in the stadium. Serving copious amounts of beer to guys already hammered in the stadium is totally ok though. Come on...umbrellas don't kill people..drunk guys swinging umbrellas kill people. My problem with actually going to see the game is that I feel like I actually SEE more of the game on my giant HD TV at home. As for drunk guys cheering, all that takes is a few phone calls and the promise of beer. read more

I went with my friends to the Taylor Swift 1989 tour day one since there were two and it was probably one of the worst concert experiences I've ever had. The show was great, but the stadium itself, hell no. You don't know what crooked workers are until you've seen the ones here. They reeked of alcohol and marijuana, cat called to all of the girls that walked by, did NOT focus on their jobs whatsoever and I saw them sneak numerous people in. Not to mention one worker snuck two girls in that I had met that day. He was very creepy and came off highly sexually attracted to them. My other friends and I had a bad feeling about him so we called soldier field management up from outside the stadium where it all happened. They said they'd send someone out to speak to us personally, handle the situation and talk to the other workers who witnessed him sneak them in.. but of course no one ever came out. I didn't feel safe and that's a problem especially when there's a concert that attracts a wide variety of females including very young ones. read more

My Purse Was Not Allowed In Soldier Field, It Had Four Different Medicines,My Key Set To A KeYless Start Vehicle, My Checkbook, And A Work Pager Along With Other Items. The Workers Were Extremely Rude, Told Me I Could Not Bring In My Purse. I Was Made To Throw It Over The Security Fence And Hope It Would Be There After The Game. Only To Find Out The Workers Had Thrown Every Purse Away Before The End Of The Game. At Least Wait Until After The Game ToSee If The Purses Will Be Claimed. i Left The Game Early To Try And Get My Purse. There Were No Signs On The Walk Up Saying Purses Are Not Allowed To Give Anyone a Chance To Find Other Means. There Are Medal Detectors And Workers Viewing All Items Brought Into The Game. There Is Room Under My Own Seat To Store It. There Is No Reason For This. i Now Have To Close My Checking Account, Order New Keys Which Are A Few Hundred Dollars, And Hope Insurance Will Approve New Medicine. All For Nothing. The renovations made Soldier Field look better and more modern on the inside but ruined the famous collonade on the outside. That being said, it is one of the coolest and most famous stadia in the NFL. With the Bears becoming the NFC North powerhouse, Soldier Field is a prime spot to catch a sporting event. The wind is unpredictable, which makes for interesting football games. For those who don't know, in 2005 an attempted field goal by the kicker of the 49'ers was blown by the wind into the waiting hands of Nathan Vasher, who returned it 108 yards for a touchdown and the longest play in NFL history. Soccer Game 2015 Great venue to be at and the tickets didn't cost too much. The food and concession were very good considering how much the average drink and hot dog are at a regular stadium. i also liked how the stadium opened up very early before the scheduled even so that everyone could get in at a timely manner and so you could see the teams practice and warm up before the game. The transportation options right outside of the stadium are also a plus because you can be sure that an empty taxi is waiting to have your ride back to your hotel. Soldier field has by far the worst security on the planet. I asked near 10 different "security" dudes to point me towards the direction of the lockers and all of them said "I don't know." How could you possibly hire someone that has no sense of direction of your venue. It's ridiculous. Makes for an extremely irritating and time consuming visit. Soldier field has the shittiest parking in existence. we waited about an hr and a half only to be told the lots were full and asked every attendant where we had to park and they sent us to mckormick place which was also a shit show. Wanna plan for soldier field plan on paying 60 dollar parking and get there 5 hrs early . Pathetic ... Good luck getting out of there after. 1.5 hours of stand still. read more

Lifelong bears fan. I went to every game at the old soldier field from 1984 until 1996 with my brother, dad and uncle. When the spaceship landed on top of it the place was ruined. The sight lines are still pretty good but the experience isn't the same and from outside looking in it made a landmark into an eyesore. Hopefully John Fox and crew can right the (space)ship this year. read more

I don't know. Seems really hard to get to after drinking on the train. Football is so boring unless you have a good buzz going on and the last thing I want to do is walk while hammered. I ran the soldier field 10 mile race here back at the end of May. They had it set up great. We finished on the 50 yard line, and they had the jumbotron broadcasting everyone finishing. I would love to get there for a game, I bet that it is a great atmosphere. The outside looks amazing as well, it looks almost like a Roman structure. read more

There was also security which I always appreciate when going to crowded places. The check-in line for the conference I was attending was no joke half a mile long but only took about 20 minutes due to the efficient staff. I really cannot say enough great things about the employees. Overall I enjoyed my first McCormick Place experience and I'm sure I'll be back for more in the future!

Check out the ornate metal railings on the stairways that go up to the balcony. Available with this room is a complete A/V system, podium, microphones, and a large projection screen.

They showed us toward the elevators where another greeter scanned our tickets, go to floor 1, and we followed the notes on our tickets on which door to enter, row, seats. TBH, we purchased the tickets months ago; just picked 2 seats that I thought were in the mezzanine (I think). As we walked closer to the stage, I was worried we were not in the correct seats but the show was sold out and no one moved us. Long story short, orchestra level, last row, middle section, BEST seats! Ladies, there were so many attendees I didn't check out the bathroom situation but I heard a few say they were going and came back fairly quickly so hoping quite a few stalls. Enjoy your event!

Most of the employees here have been here 10-22 years! Front desk staff Tee, Melody, Marlene, and Josephine are friendly and very helpful. My hardworking housekeeping professionals Carlos, Irma and Evelyn are top notch. Carlos ensures the rooms are dark and quiet for the red eye Southwest flight crews, doing his part to keep the crews and their passengers are safe. Jasmin and Ramiro are nothing short of fantastic with their people in the Coaches Sports Bar & Grill. Both congenial, long term employees who seem to genuinely enjoy making their guests happy. Not only was the service exceptional, the breakfast and dinner alike were outstanding, courtesy of resident chefs Erika and Isaiah. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Ana who also works in the restaurant but was the bartender tonight. Although I do not drink, she made sure the dining guests had everything they needed in between frequent visits from Ramiro. All in all a fantastic stay.

Everyone is looking in the same direction -- up. There's an aroma of barbecue because people brought their grill to make this an all day event. The temperature is just right. We've enjoyed the summer but now she's coming to a close. If you haven't enjoyed the Chicago Air and Water Show before -- I invite you to come and experience this spectacular Chicago observance. My personal favorite are the Blue Angels. They are truly spectacular, and seeing them fly and weave along the the city skyline is magical. The beaches can get insanely crowded, so if you're more interested in the air portion of the show, you can definitely get more creative with where to watch (balconies, rooftops, parking garages) and avoid the dense crowds and traffic. I will continue to enjoy this weekend for many years to come, and I'm excited to bring my son once he's a little bit older!

Food is nothing to write home about. You will typically find as many visiting team fans as Nwstrn fans. Band is not up to Big Ten standards. One thing I can say is that it's pretty easy to park in downtown Evanston and catch a free bus to the game. Highly recommended. If you've never been to a game at Ryan Field, expect it to be windy. RF is located very near to Lake Michigan and you can get a lot of lake effect wind. And if you're planning to be in downtown Evanston, don't forget to stop and get a burger at Bat 17 (great pregame meal!)
