I haven't been to Soldier's Field or a Bears game in well over two decades, so I was happy for the opportunity to be here for the Bears/49ers game. The game itself was a lot of fun, and even though I was up high and far back, we still had a great view and I could see everything going on. The stadium itself and it's amenities are the reason it's lacking. Bathrooms are alright, par the course for stadiums, though they would benefit for a dedicated entrance and exit I think. Concessions were really disappointing though. My parry and I waited for a while just to find out that they were running out of food and had to cook more, but somethings were running out (fries). My friends left lines for another one, I waited in the same one. They ran into three lines that ran out of food and missed an entire quarter, where I got lucky and got a double order of chicken tenders to make up for no fries, and that's the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2. You'd think they would have better supply for food and at least keep cooking consistently going. I understand long lines but not running out of food. I'd come here again for the games, but I'd definitely avoid food lines. Beer might be quicker from a wandering vendor but that's the only thing I'd buy. read more

No wonder the Bears want to move to the suburbs. Traffic control was an absolute failure around the stadium for the Ed Sheeran concert last night. The City workers shut down the off ramp leading to 18th Street from Columbus Drive. Vehicles were trapped in a gridlock for several hours. Concert goers could not be picked up in an efficient and orderly manner after the concert. People were scattered all over the place. I witnessed one traffic accident as a result of this traffic congestion nightmare! I will never go down to Soldier Field again! read more

I attended the Pink concert at Soldier field this past Saturday. Pink was great, but the venue was terrible. We had a medical emergency in our group, and we're given next to no help. A person going through cancer treatment felt faint, asked for a chair, was told there were none available. Two members of our party went to guest services, we're directed to a gate entry, who directed them back to guest services who said "we have no chairs" even though you could literally see a folding chair behind them. The person in medical distress went to the bathroom and sat in a stall because it was the only "seat" available. When the two people who went on the guest services field trip returned, they got the person out of the bathroom stall, but she then began dry heaving into a recycling bin. Still, no help or acknowledgment from multiple venue employees within ten feet. Thankfully, some other concert attendees started fanning her and giving her ice while her party went to buy water (because heaven forbid an employee go get some). Then another member of the party went on a ten minute search for medical staff and hunted down help. It took 40 min from the time of asking for help and getting it, and even that was given because someone in the group got it for her. The employees and the venue should be horrified with the way they treated a guest who paid a ton of money for their ticket. I would never recommend anyone go to Soldier Field for a concert. That being said, Pink was amazing, and this is no reflection on her or her performance (not that we got to see much of it). read more

Soldiers Field does not handicap people I attended the "Beyoncé" concert which is running just about 2 hrs late on a Sunday night which is a problem. First situation the handicap parking was behind the stage which meant we had to push the wheel chair basically half way around the stadium. Second the "ADA" seating on the floor was halfway across the field another poor decision. Third problem the handicap toilet is almost on the floor and wheelchair could not fit into the stall. Someone please assist Soldier field with these issues before someone gets hurt. read more

Went to the Metallica concert on Friday Aug 9 and had no problems getting in with our bag. We went back there on Sunday Aug 11 and had a terrible time getting in. They wouldn't let us bring our bag in that had water and medication for my pregnant wife and I. Practically yelled at us to turn around and argued with us that we didn't bring the bag in on Friday and that there is no way the staff would had let that happen. Told us to walk around to the other side of the field and across the street to use the lockers. No way we could do that. A pregnant woman and a man with leg problems can't walk that far and they could see we both couldn't but they didn't care. Ended up having to call our friend back to get the bag. Only reason I'm putting 2 is because the concert was amazing. read more

I have been living in the city for awhile and passing through the Museum Campus a number of times, especially during the period when Pokémon Go was very popular. However, I never went inside the Soldier Field until hubby and I went for the rugby weekend triple-header. They do have a strict bag policy: only small clear bags or small fanny packs (except for Bears Game) were allowed. I brought a "tinted" transparent bag and was asked to discard or place in a locker nearby. I didn't really know where the lockers were, and I knew this bag I could live without. I promptly left the bag in the dumpster and proceeded to our seats. Anyway, pack light! My mini JanSport belt bag that was purchased at Zumiez last year made it in, so I was alright. The stadium was a good size, yet it's small in comparison to other NFL stadiums in the country. We sat in the middle portion of section 117 and could see most actions well. Overall, the facilities were clean and maintained with good care. The washrooms were heated, which was a plus since we were exposed to the cold for the entire day. I felt privileged to be able to see this venue, but come on, what was up with the prices of the food and drinks? Hence, I couldn't render the full score. The prices would probably be the reflection on what could be happening if corruptive politicians had ruled the state for the next eight (8) years. I didn't get why a can of Guinness cost $11.75, hot chocolate in a Bears souvenir cup cost $12, a bottle of water cost $6.75, a plain hot dog cost $12 (ketchup, sweet relish, and mustard were free...thank God), and a small package of dry popcorn cost $6.75. Shame on myself that I bought the popcorn because I wanted something to snack on. Yeah, yeah, I complained on the last paragraph, nevertheless, my experience was still great. I left the stadium feeling hungry because I couldn't justify the costs of everything inside; they were too unreal for me to comprehend. "Soldier Field" wasn't that huge, so we walked out from one of the southeast exits and walked back to the CTA Roosevelt Red/Green/Orange Line station by following the signs. If I ever have another chance to come back, I will make sure I fuel up prior to entering this fortress of inflation. read more

Great: staff at food stands, restrooms are relatively clean Terrible: Staff that scans tickets during concerts. They immediately snap and yell at the patrons if their scanning equipment fail. They lack courtesy and don't consider themselves as customer service staff. read more

I love the Bears and I love Soldier Field!! We went for a playoff game and had seats "way up there" but the view was amazing! Other than the 100+ steps I had to climb to get to my seat (which is really fine cuz I'm sure the workout is just one of many that I need) I have no complaints! =] My hot chocolate was $7.00 but came in a plastic Bears travel mug which is the perfect souvenir so I was more than willing to pay. I have to also add the hot chocolate itself was delicious. The bathrooms were clean... major bonus. I cannot wait to go back!! read more

Had a great time here! Great venue for a concert. Sat in the 300s and still had a good view. It's really cool seeing the oldest stadium in the NFL. Just keep in mind that if you're in the 300s or 400s for seating that you have to head down to the 200s for bathrooms! read more

Recently visited Soldier Field for the Broncos/Bears game. We stayed downtown and found it an easy commute to the stadium (trains, buses or just a nice walk). Security was a breeze and they got through the lines quickly. The seats were good and the food selection was good. Prices are high, but that is all stadiums! They do need to get more bathrooms, the lines for both Men's and Women's were insanely long! Oh and more places need to serve hot drinks. There was like 2 places in the place that had cocoa and it was freezing day. If you are there to see the visitors (as I was), sit near section 101. You are on the visitor bench side and right by the visitor tunnel! Plus, in the winter you get the sun for most the game. read more

I came here for the preseason Bears vs Browns yesterday 9/3. It was my first time ever being at soldier field so I have lil to say about the renos. The prices are definitely high. They sell hotdogs for $10?!?! Are you serious hot Dogs literally cost $2. I went with the tenders and fries for $9 as my friend and I were hungry bc we went straight from work to the game. My friend and I bought 2 beers, 2 waters, and the the tender meal. That right there was $60. Kinda crazy, but I can't complain I got the tickets from my boss for free. For my first experience it was pretty good. The bathrooms were clean, the employees were friendly, the seats were fantastic (the view not comfort level) and the Bears won! Bc of the astronomical price of Bears tickets I will probably never go to another game unless it's out of state or I get lucky and get them for free again. USA v Jamaica June 24,2023: worst sporting experience of my life. Parking billboards direct you to parking that cost $55 not advertised on said billboard. Sealed water bottles not permitted inside. We had an opportunity through our company to attend a Chicago Bears game in one of the Executive Suites. If you even have a chance it is a fun time especially if Chicago is doing well that year (ha!). Best of all you get to skip the crowd, the cold and the long lines. You have a chance to enjoy the Game live and on the broadcast monitors. They even give you a chance at winning an autographed player's jersey, from one of the guys on the team! This stadium will always be the least exciting of all Chicago's arenas and stadiums. Soldier Field is a pain to get to for a game....traffic is always awful and unless you pay the big bucks, you'll be parking pretty far from the stadium. It's a small stadium so the views from any seat is never bad, which is a plus. The food is alright, nothing great but it's on par for stadium concession food. Soldier Field during Bears games is fine but not so great for concerts. Saw Guns N' Roses back in 2016 and the sound was awful, first 5 songs could not be heard from the upper level. read more

I am concerned about the security rules and guidelines in your building and how they actually, in some cases, are counter intuitive to safety. On Saturday, June 3, I attended the Taylor Swift Concert with my daughters and one of their friends. Part way into the show, we realized that on the way in at around 5:30, we did get the bracelets that lit up during her songs. At first we didn't care, but between around 9:00 pm I told them I would go see if I could find us some bracelets. I left our seats which were in section 320. I found an employee in an orange shirt who directed me around the corner and down the stairs to the entrance area. At Gate 0, I asked an employee in a red shirt about the bracelets. He didn't understand or know where they would be. Now that I reflect on this, I think there was a slight language barrier. I asked if I should ask someone else. He said yes. I stepped around him to ask another person in red, and that person said I had to ask the man in the black shirt and pointed to the man in the black shirt. All this asking, pointing, and directing me to other people, led me to step about 10 feet out of the door of Gate 0. I ask that you watch all this on your video camera. I assume you have one. The man in the black shirt said he didn't know where the bracelets were anymore, and I said "okay," and turned around to head back to section 320 where my daughters were. I was told I could not go back in. This is a problem on many levels. First, it was the person in orange and the person in red who directed me to the entrance/exit of Gate 0 in the first place and suggested that I talk to the people who were a few feet outside the entrance. Therefore, they played a significant role in my walking out of the doorway. They played a role, and refused to acknowledge the role they played. There was also some confusion as to if I had my daughter come and show them my ticket which was on her phone, if I would be allowed back in. One security person hedged a bit on this, seeming like it might be okay, and another said no. Another one said that the tickets "disappear" as soon as they are scanned. These above instances show me that there was a lack of training and directions provided to the employees wearing orange, red, and black (or navy). When I asked the person who seemed to be the head security personnel how I was supposed to know that I couldn't exit, she said it was on the ticket. It is not on the online ticket we purchased. I checked. I asked why no one in red told me NOT to step outside the door when I was looking for and asking about these bracelets and she said that wasn't "her problem." I asked why there wasn't signage stating that "If you move beyond this point, you will not be readmitted." She also said that wasn't "her problem." It seems that would be an easy thing for Soldier Field to do. They certainly have the funds to have such signage made. I asked her how I was supposed to know that THAT was the point at which I could not leave; at this point she condescendingly pointed to the archway and said "common sense." Is that common sense though? I would assume an entrance and an exit are the same. And at an event you "enter" through silver gates as you get your bags checked and your ticket scanned. Typically, your bags are scanned at the "entrance." Therefore, I had not left the exit/entrance area because I was right by where the silver things had been (although they were now disassembled and off to the side) where I had entered. Let's continue to explore "common sense." Was I using "common sense" when I assumed the employees at Soldier Field would know where they were directing me when I stepped out of the building at their suggestion? I think it is common sense to assume that employees at a large event like this do know what they are doing. Walking 10 feet out of the building to ask a question when it was suggested that I ask someone else, and then being punished for following that suggestion is an injustice. It cost me money as I had a ticket to that show, and it robbed me of a memory with my daughters that cannot be replaced. However, an even more pressing concern about this is the safety concern it created. I had terrible wifi. Part of it was being at a large venue, part of it was being outside (I was not even allowed to get close to the entrance to see if I could pick up a signal). Part of it is that I have an iphone 8 and I need an upgrade. Also, our portable charger was with my daughter inside. My battery was low. I could not contact my daughters to let them know what had happened. I did get a hold of one once via a phone call, but it was cut off. When I explained this to the two security officers, they did not care. I asked if I could just be escorted to my daughters' seats for 3 minutes to tell them what happened and where I would be after the show, and was told "no, not my problem." I have no been to every single sorts facility out there but i have gone to quite a few and never ever EVVVVEERRRR had to be forced to pay $10 cash just to put my stuff up. Security staff were friendly though. The concessions were priced on average with other sports facilities but the inconsistency in their policies regarding simple things like lids was a bit annoying. Four drinks no lids and clumsy kids is not a good recipe. It's hard being a Bears fan when you're out of state. read more

I came here for Dragon Lights now that was great but what wasn't is the hike to get to the show, no real signs to show you how to get to the show and the unorganized way they had the check-in for the show. We ended up missing the live show because we were in line...ugh! They had a bonus live show but we were on the other side of the parking lot so we didn't know or hear any anoncement about it until the end. I'm still glad we went and I have the pictures to show it...lol If they comeback next year I will be more prepared...I hope! As always... Enjoy!!! read more

Funny thing is that I have never been here for a Bears game, but I've been here for the Blackhawks Stanley Cup Champions Rally, a Taylor Swift Concert, and a Kenney Chesney concert. This place is huge, and for a stadium, the food is absolutely delicious... but of course pretty expensive like any stadium is. The hot dogs here are great with soft buns, and the fries with a cup of cheese are delicious. The cheese cup is spicy and so worth the $2 extra dollars. The beer is good here, tap or canned, and they have a good amount of options to choose from. These range from about 10-12 dollars depending on the kind of beer you crave. For the Rally, we got floor tickets, and it was awesome! We were very close to the players, and the views were incredible. The stadium had plenty of large screens so that everyone could have a close up of all of the action and confetti was shot everywhere. Seriously amazing. As for T Swift, the sound for the singers before her was off, but for her it wasn't bad. We sat in the grandstands which was freezing, but we had amazing views of the whole stage and of the TVs. The great thing about Soldier Field is that you can see from anywhere because no poles are in your way like at Wrigley Field or other stadiums. This place is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to the purse requirements. They send an email that says you can only bring an 8 by 5 and a half inch purse, yet even though I measured mine before coming, they gave me shit for it for a while... the little stupid taped box they had in their table was much smaller than they put in their requirements, which is super bullshit. After like 10 minutes of fighting with different stupid workers, including some asshole old dude with grey hair, a really nice girl literally let me and a bunch of people in with our purses cuz she knew the dude was being ridiculous.... honestly, no one is going to walk to 18th street just to put their purse in a locker at the blue line, so there were some people who literally threw away their purses... no fricken way was I about to do that. They can't even say this is for security reasons because a girl in the bathroom literally said she hid her purse underneath her coat during the metal detector entrance because she knew her purse was big and they didn't even notice her purse was there... sooo how is that good security? The bathrooms were super clean every time I came in there, which is so nice, because I didn't expect them to be with how many people were there. There are also tons of stalls in the women's bathroom. Never parked here so not sure about that situation, but it's smarter for you to Uber here or to take the Blue Line to the red line and get off at Roosevelt. It is a bit of a walk from the train, but definitely worth it, especially due to busy times, so you can skip the Uber surge charges. read more

Very fun experience seats are very small and packed together not much personal space at all the seat are on top of each other so your basically should to shoulder with almost no room in the mid isles. I know they do this to pack more seating but the seats aren't even big they are like a foot and a half wide. Still a fun experience and the impression you get just seeing the field before approaching it is breathtaking. Win or lose the games are fun. I don't recommend driving either Uber or take the train. Very very congested and everyone is in a hurry to leave witch causes more of a jam. read more

Soldier Field is an iconic football stadium steeped in history. Like any great old parks, you just feel a tingle when you enter. Given its age, it has held up well but there are definitely some shortcomings compared to newer stadiums. For starters, the parking and transportation to the stadium is not great. Particularly when it is 10 degrees like it was today, you would rather not walk a mile. Then the bathrooms are another problem--not near enough capacity. Some of the sight lines are not great. With that being said, still a great place to watch the Bears in a football game. read more

I am a lifelong Bears fan who finally went to my first game at Soldier Field. There is nothing like the atmosphere at Soldier Field. Our seats were way up in section 441. The view was actually great but those stairs are a killer. Luckily many vendors made the trek up there. So we were able to get food and drinks without going back down. I was a little disappointed in the overall food selection at the stadium. We walked around before the game and I didn't notice anything unique or unusual just typical stadium fare. We walked to the game from our hotel. Public transportation options that get you close to the stadium seem a bit limited. There were Pedicabs offering rides for $20. read more

I suggest the bratwurst...Fun for whole family. It oozes history of past. I'm a fan of Chicago architecture. Soldier Field is living history. Be sure to get there early so you can see the Bears warm up and soak in everything Game Day has to offer before the crowds get there. I love Soldier Field. I saw The Rolling Stones here. The entry process was super easy. Unlike other arenas the people who work here don't yell at everyone. The lines move fast for food. Last winter, I heard about the Soldier Field tour....sounded pretty interesting. I was able to take a recent tour. First, I was really surprised how many people were on this tour so come early to check-in. All ages were on this tour. You will need to check in at gate 14 which is not noted on the confirmation. Tom, lead tour guide, was FANTASTIC!! He began the tour by the Soldier Memorial. The interior of this building is very incredible. Second stop on the tour will be on the actual field. Tom continued to state facts regarding the field including various bands, other athletic matches were held at Soldier Field. Next stop is the visitors' locker room. Tom goes into details about the locker room such how the room is set up for games / matches to being the dressing rooms to the biggest rock stars that have played at Soldier Field. Some of the lockers have the jersey and helmets from some of the best players that have played at the stadium. From the locker room, you will take an elevator to the club level. Upon exiting, is the best view that any stadium can offer....a view of the harbor and the Museum Campus. Just an ahhhh moment. You will take a tour of the CityView Lounge. From the lounge, you can see great views of the city while watching the game. Then final part of the tour is along the portico between the old columns and the newer part of the stadium. In each of the sections that you go to, you will have plenty of time to walk around, take pictures and ask questions. Bears fan or not, this is a great tour and I'm glad I went on it!! This place looks super weird. Someone said it looked like a space ship landed in ancient Rome and I get that. I've only been inside the stadium once and it was fine. Bathrooms were decent but it seemed to take a long time for me to get out of the place. I like the history behind the stadium and that it is named for soldiers. There is a lovely monument on the west side of the stadium and a Gold Star wall across the street on the East Side. I respect that it is still called Soldier Field and not something like Pinkberry Field or Stanley Steemer Field. Enough with the corporate naming BS. read more

I attended the Bears - Cowboys game last night. Holy cow was it cold!! It was my first time at the "new" stadium. I have been to the "old" stadium in the past and that will provide a benchmark of sorts. The aesthetics of Soldier field I think are actually very nice. A nice blend of the old with the new. To each his own but the facilities are much easier to navigate and everything seems clean. Getting in and getting out. Being a part of the museum campus lends itself to easy navigation by foot without having to cross any major traffic. The staff that wands you and pats you down seem to really care about doing there job effectively without going TSA on you...no attitude and false sense of grandiose. Food & beverage - it was way too damn cold to think you could buy something hot and get it to your mouth feeling the same way. The beer was freezing right in your cup as you were trying to drink it. A couple guys in front of us lost a few beers as they froze solid. :-/ lot of words to tell you I can't comment yet. I need to come here in warmer weather. Seats (section 349) - Seats are slightly more comfortable but still too narrow. You will like the seats width only if you want to get to know the person next to you intimately. Views - much better than the old stadium. The "bowl" architecture has improved field visibility ten fold. The JumboTrons make viewing replays and 1/2 time events joyous. Complaints - Offer wider seats or double seats designed for 2 people. They will sell. Hot seats? Did I say it was cold as a witches xxx? Great venue. read more

I spent very minimal time here, as I arrived at Soldier Field right when the BTS concert was starting and I left maybe 15 minutes after the most of the crowds had filtered out of the stadium. I also walked over from the Hyatt, so I can't speak to parking around here, using rideshare services here, or taking public transportation around here. What I can say is make sure you research what you can or cannot bring. First off, clear bags only. Check their website on specific sizes allowed. No bags or purses otherwise. Definitely no luggage either. I came here straight from the airport and had to drop my luggage off at the Hyatt, for a fee (thanks Hyatt for doing this even though I wasn't your hotel guest!). They don't do bag checks for a fee either (Rose Bowl allowed people to check their bags for $10). Second, no water bottles. Nope, not even plastic disposable ones. This was a weird restriction, as I was just at the Rose Bowl a week prior to coming to Solider Field and plastic water bottles were allowed there. I can also say that the concert goes on, rain or shine, even in a heavy downpour. And no umbrellas allowed inside too! Keep in mind if it's pouring rain, it'll be extra freezing with the winds kicking in from the stadium's super close proximity to the lake. Rain wasn't anticipated for this mid-May outdoor concert, and BTS even joked that this is their first "winter" concert. What I wore for the Rose Bowl one week earlier with no rain and SoCal weather (short sleeve tee during the afternoon with a thin Uniqlo packable down jacket for the evening) was too light for the Soldier Field concert of rain and wind (I ended up wearing a tee plus Uniqlo down jacket plus thick waterproof hooded wind jacket plus poncho plus gloves). My seat in Section 134, row 12 thankfully was partially blocked by the top of the stadium that curves inward, so I didn't get the full force of the rain. Those in floor seats and BTS themselves unfortunately had no cover and got the brunt of the downpour. And speaking of the rain, I wish the security checkpoints had more covering from the rain. I don't care about getting wet myself, but I'd rather not have my electronics (phone and external battery) directly get drenched by the rain when I am told to put it in the tray as I go through the metal detectors. Since it rains pretty often in Chicago, please please Soldier Field, have something more covering the checkpoints so the things we have to take out of our pockets for your security measures aren't getting damaged. I'm lucky my phone is waterproof, but others may not have the same. Despite the rain, the concert at Soldier Field was pretty enjoyable. The acoustics here are way better than the Rose Bowl. Getting out of here afterwards was also a little better than Rose Bowl too. read more

Went out to see a MLS game and had a really fun time! There is so much space, so you are easily able to spread out and enjoy some room! Only down fall, with every stadium, the food and drinks are insanely over priced. Make sure to get some sustenance in you before spending $30 on two beers! read more

Soldier Field (SF): World Famous Football stadium. Known for being the home to the Chicago Bears, but also holds events and concerts. My review is specific to a concert I watched. Please read this entire review before jumping to conclusions. Note: I don't believe this had anything to do with the bands that played, but more to do with SF and how they set-up the venue. Most people know that a football field is 100 yards long, and it stretches further back with the seating. If you're on one end, it may be hard to see the other end. Most concert venues are set-up in a 180 degree view, with the band in the center. At SF, the band was basically at the goal field on one end. It works if you are down on one end of the field, but many people may be over 100 yards away, and can't see a thing. When you're paying hundreds of dollars for your seats, and there to see a World Famous Band, you would think you would have a view......somewhat of a view. SF should have put the stage on the 50 yard line, so that it was in the center for everyone. I would have 50 yards instead of 100 to see the band and so would people on the other side. That is what would make sense. Instead, the stage is on one end, and the band looked like ants moving in an ant farm. We could have stood outside and listened for free, and it would have been the same. To top that off, the entire lighting crew was horrible. First, there was a massive tent set-up right in the middle (ON THE 50 YARD LINE) where the band should have been. It was in the way, and hard to see around it. It was blocking our view. Second, the lighting crew had lights shining into the audience that was practically blinding. See photo. That also made it hard to see anything. Third, there were these large light towers on the middle of the field also obstructing views. The band was great. I will NEVER go to Soldier Field again for a concert. They should refund everyone's money. I will go for a regular football game though. Some advice to SF: stick to what you're good at....football. read more

Seriously, they don't let people in with any bags. That is beyond my compehension. I went with my friends to Real Madrid - MLS All Stars soccer game, and they didn't let me in, along with several other people, inside, becsuse they don't have bag check or interest and capacity to check the content of the bags. So, without plan B, I would have to walk out without watching the game and sacrificing the $150 ticket with no compensation They were rude denying entrance. Where in the world I am supposed to leave my bag, if I don't have my car and take the train downtoen for business meetings before the game? Barbaric rules read more
