Unethical and Predatory Practices I visited his office for…read morewhat was a simple sinus infection. Dr. Tandon did not take the time to listen to my symptoms. Instead, he immediately attempted to perform an endoscopy without my consent and billed me over $1,000 for it. This was entirely unnecessary for a routine sinus infection. They also invoiced for 45-minute visit when it literally took 5 minutes I left the appointment with no prescription, just a book recommendation on Amazon. When I later messaged the office about worsening symptoms (yellow/brown mucus), I was told I had to schedule another visit--less than a week after my first appointment. Only after I said I would have raised the issue with my insurance did Dr. Tandon call me later in the day, saying he could not prescribe an antibiotic without a CT scan but he would have done an exception For reference, I ultimately resolved my infection with a $6 antibiotic prescribed elsewhere.

When Dr Tandon came in, he got right to business and asked me about my symptoms as well as discuss what I've been feeling lately. He makes eye contact and is very forward in his approach. Then when I finally did see Dr. Sorin, he laughed at me when I told him I bought an ear wax removal kit but decided to wait to see him first. I told him my history of ear infections and vertigo, and he told me that I wasn't a child anymore. The way he talked to me and then treated me when being seen is unacceptable at any Dr.'s office! I should have gotten up and left. When he examined my nose he thrusted the scope up my nostril so far up and when I said it hurt he did not listen and take it out right away. I had to physically take it out of my nose myself. He apologized but it was too late. I will NEVER see this man again nor recommend him to anyone. Stay away and see a real professional. It was an upsetting experience.

He is a fairly quiet spoken gentleman, but knew from the very first visit and the symptoms, that I had Primary Hyperparathyroidism. He scheduled some tests and then shorty thereafter the surgery. I was on IV antibiotics Teflaro and and IM injections of Rocephin for bad bacteria infections with other doctors--nothing helped. But they refused to take my tonsils out--not a common practice for adults I was told. But if you are super sick and constantly have to be on antibiotics why wouldn't you? Dr Finley has been nothing short of amazing. A super smart, kind and caring ENT surgeon (looks like a young David Byrne from the Talking Heads). He removed my tonsils using the latest plasma technology. Post Op he said I had bad tonsillitis and it was a good thing we removed them. While I am one day into recovery the right side doesn't hurt at all. He said my left was far worse even though I thought my right was. Still painful but happy they are out. I highly recommend him and his staff and his personal assistant Julia who is so attentive and professional. Everyone at Northwell has been great and they are in a beautiful new downtown building at 7 7th Avenue. They won me over.
