my favourite tanning salon in the world, let alone the city. lisa and billy are the kindest and most considerate owners of an aesthetic business i've ever met. they consider the needs of their customers and make sure that everyone is happy with the purchase or membership that they house. i come in at least twice a week to re-up my perfect tan- and the versaspray gives a great flawless application. 10/10 recommend if you're a pale person looking to be bronzed, or just to anyone who wants to glow! read more

Sol'Exotica is the best tanning experience in the market today. Spray tan, collagen booth, tanning beds all are amazing and produce amazing results. Been coming here for about a year for my eczema and tanning needs (who wants to look vampiric during the winter??). The staff know their stuff, they are actually very knowledgeable on the products and equipment. Super clean, and if you call ahead then there is no wait time and your appointment is guaranteed. I'd recommend getting a monthly pass or a package since single sessions cost almost $20-40/visit (depending on which bed you use). They also give you chargers if you want to charge your phone, and there's a nice rewards card where you can win money each time you go. :-) read more

Was not a fan. As someone who tans often, and is pretty tan, I was pretty agitated with my experience from this location. My sister and I had gone in today since we had received coupons for a free tan along with a tanning lotion. Ive known for a while that this business usually does the promo of "first tan free" sort of thing. I had heard from two friends earlier that when they had gone in for spray tans using the same promotion that their spray tans were very light,not strong and could barley see a difference. Today my sister and I decided to give it a try since it was free. It was very cold today about -15 (thats without the windchill), the salon alone was pretty cold, funny considering it is a tanning salon. We began with giving the man and lady our coupons and they had no idea where we had even got them from, which was concerning since its their own businesses promotion. After filling out our wavers, the woman began to go through the packages since our coupons also provided a 50% offer on packages. She seemed more as though she was regurgitating the information rather than actually being knowledgable, she told us that tanning oil was "mandatory" almost and that its "scientifically proven" that we "needed" them. As someone who tans quick and easy I have never really needed it and the information she provided seemed false and like she was pushing for a sale. She told us that the lotions would pull out colour which is simply untrue, because thats not how tanning actually works it destroys your skin and as your body's natural defence, it turns darker to protect the skin against the UV rays. Anyways, she then went on about how we HAD to buy eye protection and that it was their new policy, it was not specified on the coupon, not to mention at other tanning salons I go to, they provide protective eye wear for NO cost. I had paid for the eye wear, which while in the machine kept coming undone because they were stick ons not even the actual glasses. Getting to the actual tanning machine my sister who is slightly fairer than me was recommended 6 minutes since she hasn't tanned in a while, and as she walked me to my room she recommended 6 minutes for me as well, I asked for 2-3 minutes more as I knew I would NOT get results from 6 because I knew I wouldn't see results I usually go for about 8-9, but and kept insisting on 6, even though my coupon had said up to as many minutes I'd like up to the limit and basically WOULD NOT LET ME GET MORE. The machine I was put in was so cold that even putting the fan on the lowest level I was freezing, I had goose bumps nearly the entire experience. I finished before my sister and the woman felt the need to tell me that their salon was usually packed and how many cancellations they had that day, almost like she wanted me to know that their salon was worthwhile. My sister got out and I could tell she was also irritated and unsatisfied with her experience. I don't recommend coming here, the free tan is not worth it. The service was unpleasant my sister had said that she felt almost like the lady thought we were stupid and she was taking down to us. She kept emphasizing "scientifically proven" as though that would assure me what she was saying what accurate. Felt super annoyed in general. Not to mention its been about 9ish hours I'd say and I don't see ANY kind of difference, and I ALWAYS do after going for a tan. My sister has no tan at all. The previous reviews here don't seem to match the actual experience, I wonder if they are bought or made by the businesses colleagues. Don't be fooled! read more

Okay, so I've been fake n baking for my upcoming vacation to Greece. Had to get this pasty Irish skin reasonably prepared! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Place is VERY busy, especially at this time of year, so you need to call ahead and book a slot otherwise you sometimes have to wait to get in. I use the stand up bed and it cost $100 for 100 minutes, which will equal about 13-14 tans for me. That's very reasonable. You can also pay monthly but the prices seemed high, but I guess if you are a tanning addict it makes sense. Super clean and modern looking inside. read more

I like this location, the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. They are also honest and fair - I only buy lotions with bronzer and they didnt have much at the time, instead of the lady selling me the most expensive bottle (like every salon ive been to) she whispered and said they have a new line coming in soon with bronzers that are cheaper. So i really appreciated that tip I would give them 5 stars but because they are so busy, it's often a bit disorganized. I also had some trouble with the automatic billing but they were great in sorting it all out. read more

Went here today for the first time today. Was really curious about the place. I walked away satisfied with my tan. The color is incredible.

I signed up to this place because the schedule there tanning salon closed. Was told I had to sign up for 3 months and then it's month to month. Went here for 2 months, seen no difference in my tanning. The third month I paid for never going in once, making appointments is hard because they are always booked. The third month I paid never going in once, thinking okay. I paid for the 3 months contract I was told I had to sign up for then did not have to worry about contract after. Well today I get a bill for $460.00 dollars for what I do not know for, since I did my 3 months contract that I sign for in September. Stay away from this place. They rip you off!!! read more

I didn't end up going in for a tan but I walked over on a freezing day with the intention of getting one. The woman at the desk wasn't super friendly or helpful, I haven't been to a tanning bed in a really long time so I was kind of new to it and didn't know what I should be doing etc. The prices were crazy expensive! For 1 session, which would be 6 mins for me (I'm super pale and burn easy) it was $30. I could buy a bunch of minutes which would be $120 and get me 5 sessions which is still $25 a session and this is before tax or lotions. I left and did some research and found a place in Liberty Village that charges $1.15 per minute and also has bulk minutes as well. This is WAY more reasonable. read more

I've been to this salon a few times now and the beds and products are amazing. I have decided to find another tanning salon though as I found the staff to be extremely pushy and trying to over sell the product (which is very expensive) and also the packages. I don't mind spending money on good product and beds but I don't appreciate the aggressive sales technique. read more

Went in here to do a one off tan, and after filling out the whole form, the guy who was working at the counter (who looks like he lives on the sun, btw) proceeded to tell me it was $25 for a 12 min session (I'm fair so half that time would be more than enough) or $80+ for a package. When I explained again that I'd rather just pay for one, shorter session, I was rudely told that wasn't an option. How do these places stay in business? Would never go back here. Went to Soliel at Yonge and Shuter instead and they were completely lovely and accommodating. read more

Bought a tanning package and the guy at the desk tells me every day that they are booked or can't get in to the bed I want yet the salon always seems to be empty. I have been in busy tanning salons before.. People waiting for beds, all the doors closed and people coming and going. This place is dead empty every time I go in and then I am told they are so busy I need an appt to get in. When I try to book appts I am turned down and told to call back closer to my tan time.. But then they tell me it's booked!?Makes no sense. Terrible customer service I wouldn't buy a package here again. read more
