First instructor was awesome and great- so sorry I don't remember name. On my second visit I brought my fiancé and friend and there was a different instructor. The parking in the location is a bit tight, it's an older spot in east sac so that's kinda expected. There are signs and after a few visits I am sure clients got it down. As I said this was my second time and my fiancé drives a larger truck so we were trying our best. We realized we needed to move once we got unpacked and were in process when a man came out and said we need to move as we parked one to far to the left and it was for the business next to the yoga place. We let him know we understood and were in process. He then told us 3-4 more times, as we stood there agreeing each time!! We walk in and he's at the front desk area, I let him know I got a pass for my fiancé. He spent a few moments looking and then expressed frustration that it was hard to find and didn't know what to do really. It ended up being doubled up under my name and he just marked it under me which didn't make sense because how will we come back to use pass if he just marked it under my name? Not a technology person thats okay but some patience and letting us explain would have been nice. Note: we came early as I thought new client waiver and sign in might take a moment. I also brought a friend and she needed a mat, this seemed to anger him and he said it cost money but just grab it so he doesn't have to deal with it. In class he made us "beginners " - new to his class and this location- identify ourselves (we all have practiced yoga at other locations and for extended amounts of time). While moving through the class he said beginners don't do this or that, I felt frustrated because I am paying for a class and being told not to do poses I usually do just because he thinks I shouldn't ...due to him not taking time to ask my actual experience level. During the class myself, fiancé and friend all did poses we felt more than comfortable doing and got called out to stop doing things we shouldn't do, loudly from across the room. He obviously knew some people in the class and was encouraging to some but absolutely belittling my "group". I don't know why this happened, maybe he was just having a bad day, maybe that's how he treats "beginners"/new clients. I really wanted to do more classes and comeback but after that class I just let the 30 day pass go and never went back. I have a lot more to say but feel like it would just be ranting and not helpful. Overall I was so excited to use this place and was so upset and disappointing leaving that day.

You're chastised for failing to keep up at any point and for drinking water outside of "water breaks," which were often only once, halfway through class. If you break a rule or make a mistake, such as a dumbbell slipping out of your hand and moving your foot so it hits the floor instead of your bare foot, you will be called out for it in front of other participants, and you will be reprimanded for it again multiple times throughout class. The only positive thing I have to say about the studio is that Shirley was very encouraging and that if you are advanced, the unlimited monthly price is reasonable.

People chat before and after class, and the instructors are encouraging, supportive, and make everyone feel comfortable.
