Solgen solar panels are a scam in my opinion. We signed up in December 20 20 they put the panels on our roof not soon after that and then ghosted us for almost a year. I had to hire a lawyer to get them to move. They blamed everybody but themselves. The local PUD and labor and industries said it was all on them . their sales staff promised us a $10,000 rebate check that we will never get. So there was a lie. We were told that the panels would cover every energy cost for our property. That's why they pulled 12 months of PUD history to make sure that they could cover cost. The local PUD tells me they don't have nearly enough panels on my property to cover my energy needs. Why would anybody sign up for this? If it doesn't cover your energy needs. I was told my only bill every month would be to the local PD for hook up service of six to $12 a month. Last month I paid $412 to the local PD on top of the loan to verity credit union of 235. it's all a scam . they've had to come out and replace my roof and fix sheet rock on the inside. How is this a good deal for anybody. we have a small business on our property that we were hoping this would offset some of our monthly cost as it turns out we pay more now than we ever paid just using the PUD. if this review helps stop one or two families from going down this ugly road that I have gone down, and as by the look of it on the Internet, many many other people across the United States I hope it helps. Now they're saying that I am the one that stopped all the county inspections on my property. What a joke. Why would I do that. How could I do that. As of 10 days ago they still have not passed county inspection on my property and it's been almost 3 years. another thing that they failed to tell you is that there is no battery back up for the system so if the local PUD goes down and everyone loses power around you, so do you. They don't tell you any of this upfront and yes, I should've done my research but I guess I trusted the sales staff.my bad !!! read more

The solar installation by Solgen Power went smoothly from beginning to end! We knew very little about solar, but the Solgen rep was sooo patient with us. Once we committed to getting our home solarized, they took care of everything...literally! Engineers designed the optimal layout for our electrical usage, city and power company permits were gotten by Solgen without us lifting a finger! Installation was done was completed by considerate and competent workers in just one day! Post-installation follow-up (PSE inspection and a visit from a Solgen rep) was fantastic. We have all our electrical needs produced by the solar panels and any extra gets put back into the grid as credit towards our lower producing winter months. On average, we will be paying approximately $30 LESS per month, accounting for the no down payment loan! And Solgen has incentives that brings the cost down further...And what makes this even a better deal? The federal government allows a 26% tax deduction this year! That makes the loan that much cheaper. Loan rates are low, we will have virtually no electric bill, and Solgen Power's installation was flawless! They made it so easy because they have good people working for them. read more

I could have started the home improvement with the usual i.e. kitchen, bathromos. Instead, I went for Solar. I'm glad we decided to add solar panels to reduce our negative environmental footprint by switching partially to a renewable energy source. It has been a great experience throughout the entire process of working with Solgen Power. They are a responsive team of professionals that provide answers to questions and ongoing support. Our next house will have the ability to have more panels, and I will be reaching back out to Solgen. Too many benefits. The tax incentive (still at 26%, which is great if I decide to add more in 2021), renewable energy source, increase in property, and resale value (research is out there) and adding to the grid when you use less than your panels collected. And let's not forget the company they have partnered with to not only see how much energy you're using but precisely what devices are utilizing those resources. And they don't have to be smart devices for the app to find those devices. I've been impressed with this entire experience. And they also deal with your HOA if that is needed. read more

If I could leave a 10 star review I would! I have been looking into solar for a few YEARS now. Due to the utter confusion around kilowatt-something-or-others, photon-over-my-head angels, grid tongue tied ac to dc inverter something I can't spells, battery-wait-no battery-wait yes battery-wait generator-wait what I'm lost, and strange excel file calculation graphs other companies keep sending to me that I can't figure out how to complete before I am allowed to move on through the game of solar level 2, I have never been able to make this dream a reality...and then in walks my Solar Savior, Ryan Lake! Ryan was able to not only teach me what a flipping kilowatt hour is, he was able to size my system, meet with me to go over my needs, get me a quote, get me financing, and get me booked for my system design ALL within 24 hours me me hitting the help a friend out button. I'm not a "greenie" or some sort of alternative energy freak, but I do love technology. So solar panels seemed like a perfect "geeky pleasure". I contacted Solgen before I even bought my house about getting panels installed. They were so professional. I expected a guy in Birkenstocks, a bushy beard, and wearing a hemp shirt to show up and tell me how it all works. This was just not the case. Roby was professional, well-spoken, informed, and explained the whole process to me from beginning to end. The panels don't detract from my home, and I just had an appraisal done to refinance my home and they actually ADDED value to my home. Are they expensive? Yes, the upfront cost is high, but they come with a 25-year warranty and very attractive $0 out of pocket financing options. So you decide, would you rather be paying "yourself" over the next 25 years, a nice flat, predictable amount, or roll the dice throwing money at the electric company? Going solar was one of the best things we did, Chris Bongato our representative not only answered all the questions I had but also walked us through every step of what was going to happen with the costs, differences between panels, (in which I did some of my own research and found that they use poly crystalline panels which is what you want. They run individually so if there was or is a problem that is the only one that will go out and all the others continue to produce.) It is a great investment in your house and saving energy. You can't go wrong with this company. They take care of everything for you including monitoring of the panels and if there are any problems they are on top of it. From the Sales presentation to Install and Followup, Solgen Solar has been stellar to work with! They provide an abundance of information and have great patience in the delivery! Their communication (Emails, Voicemails and texts) with myself, the Client, was amazing! The Install Team were courteous, efficient and knowledgeable and all follow up for final inspections were seamless! The actual panels look beautiful with a black, low profile look! The Install comes with a coordinated APP to track daily the energy stored! Next year, I will receive a large rebate from the Government to offset my costs! Loved how I didn't feel pressured with them. They held my hand and took care of everything. From planning, permits, installation, inspections and checked in with me like I was a person and not just a client. Chris was the clincher for me. He always was available for all my questions. I appreciated the time he took to help me understand all the variables involved in going solar.
