However, when I want a drastic change or something uniquely me, Blades is the only salon I will visit and I almost always choose its owner, Jay as my stylist. Let me tell you this was only a blind act of trust the first time when I fell in love with his cuts, the salon and the professional and kind demeanor of every staff member I have ever encountered there. As a result I have become known as the woman who always has amazing hair; a thing I can take zero credit for except in my choice of salons. With all the negative press regarding Keratin containing formaldehyde I decided to try something new. I had been reading about formaldehyde free Agave Keratin treatment. My hair dresser researched it but had to obtain the product in bulk. The only salon that does it is Steiner Salon in Rocky Hill. Michael the owner applied it. No toxic odor and it could be washed the next day(or sooner ) ! It is by far the BEST Keratin Treatment I have ever gotten . Ana explained everything about perms in detail, asked me all about what I wanted to achieve and gave me her honest opinion about what should be done. Ana instantly made me comfortable that she knew exactly what she was taking about. I KNEW she wanted to make sure I left Steiner Salon happy and with the look I wanted from the original salon I had gone to.
