Since first seeing him, I moved to Providence, RI - and I still make regular trips to the salon to see JohnPaul for my cuts. Finding a good short-hair stylist for women is HARD. I tried multiple salons, all over Providence - but realized that no one could hold a candle to JohnPaul. I like to see variety in my cuts, and I want a hairdresser who is willing to take some chances - I don't want to dictate EXACTLY what I want when I sit down in the chair. Not bleaching today just adding color to cover the gray hair)... I felt like they really cared about the results of my hair for the long-term not just for the one week. Most times anybody does anything with my hair involving color it comes out awful. The cut was absolutely perfect as well. Had to chop off 4 to 5 inches due to Very thin ends from my anemia... My health is improving and my hair is getting thicker and fuller. Can't wait to bring my four-year-old daughter for her haircut and follow up with many more haircuts in the future here! I'm multiracial (Scottish & African on one side, and Italian & Lithuanian on the other) and my hair is locked in a constant battle against one side's desire to be very straight, and extremely tight African curls on the other. Dealing with my hair has been my life's battle. That being said, Chris was one of the first hair-dressers who knew how to handle my hair and take care of it; so when she made her own business in Cromwell, I followed her. She and her partner Amber are really fantastic. They deal with a variety of hair types (I know because the clientele there is always many races) and most of their clientele are like me- people who have been coming for years because they know it's good. The best part about Studio 325 and being taken care of by Chris and Amber is I can confidently say that they will do only what is best for you. They will always tell me if they think what I have suggested could damage my hair and offer up a better or creative solution to a forseen 'problem'.
