Fourth time coming here. I like how long my nails lasts, anywhere from 3 weeks to 1.5 months. Had the biggest success growing my nails out here with just gel nails. They do really nice line work and designs, just make sure you make an appointment for long sessions so you don't feel rushed. I do have to say I've been cut every session. Mostly when they are cutting my cuticles, but this time, my skin was filed open with a nail filer as she was going at it. Accidents do happen, but just a warning. Tried their lash service, pretty okay. Just didn't like the vibe of the technician. Was looking for a specific style and she booked me saying she can do it for me. Then told me she might not be able to when I came in and was trying to convince me to do other more expensive lash services. She said she would give me some aftercare stuff, but she immediately left the room and sat on a chair to be on her phone. Didn't give me anything. She is sort of blunt when she speaks to you, points out things to promote her services. She was very sweet but it took almost 3 hours for something so simple so I'm not sure if I would be returning. (Yes I arrived at 10 am on time and left at 1 pm - only reason I took off 1 star). This is my 5th time at Solo Nails and I love them because they always take me last-minute and have always had an appointment available for me at my convenience. The ladies working are always sooo cute and nice! Their interior is very pretty, modern, and clean. I especially appreciate how they always have actually fun Kdramas, music videos, or Netflix shows playing. I've been to too many nail salons where they play the most boring, weird things on TV or have boring music on and I'm literally falling asleep & internally dying for 2 hours. Jane was my nail tech and she was the best!!! She was so thorough and good at filing and creating the gem piece for my nails. Was able to walk in on a Friday morning, and was immediately greeted with really kind service! But for the price I felt like the attention to detail could have been better. The nail technician didn't clean under the nails after all was done and had a few of my cuticles bleeding afterwards (that's okay it happens!). The shape and application for my right hand was lacking compared to my left. The index nail was glued on lifted and shaped more narrow than my other hand. Well, here we go. I came back to Solo a year after I moved out of the area, thinking I'd get the same satisfactory results...and dude was I wrong. My gel fill was filled way too thick and not far back enough towards the cuticle, leaving a ton of gap space. My nails grow fast and I let homegirl know I needed the color covering as much as possible but I guess people don't do it that way fills can be done more frequently with them. Within 2 weeks I've had two nails completely lift off and bleed. I asked the girl if I should just get a new set seeing as I was not satisfied by my previous set and she said "oh no we can fix that" All it did was make the base more unstable and the shaping was whack for what I asked for *skinny almond* It's only been 2 weeks....I've never had my nails pop off like this. $215 for a shitty gel x fill and a gel pedicure.... the pedicure was the only thing that went right. They charge 70 effing dollars for a fill now, 20 for cat eye that wasn't even done the way I asked, and overcharged me $25 for some shitty stickers that tale zero talent to apply. I went back in to correct that ridiculous upcharge for the stickers. They say "oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to charge that much...it's $15" which for the few little white stsr stickers I got, is still 10 bucks over priced. Needless to say I'm never going out of my way to get my nails done here again. The pandemic isn't an excuse for ridiculous upcharges and subpar work. read more

Now girlies, this is a place that will give you a fair price compared to the other korean owned nail art places, but you will have to come in with a clear vision of what EXACTLY you want. Okay I did. 10 minutes later, nobody say anything and I just waited. That's fine because they seem busy. 10-15 mins waiting is okay. I understand. 2.5/5 Got a manicure and pedicure, manicure came out cute and I like it, unfortunately the service just made the experience very unpleasant overall. First, when it came to the cuticle preparation, they were extremely rough and when I would cry out in pain or say it hurt, they'd either roll their eyes or tell me to calm down and keep going. No care or consideration at all. And, I definitely wasn't being dramatic because multiple of my fingers and my toes at the time ended up bleeding. Not shown in the pics because I took them after a few days, but quite a few bled and they didn't do much to try to stop the bleeding and so the blood would kind of just dry there. Pedicure was just completely ruined, not sure what happened, kept my foot in the slippers they gave me but it smudged. When I brought this up, they basically just shrugged and said that's too bad. I know they're not necessarily obligated to fix it but most salons I think generally would, especially since pedicures are quick. Just met with a lot of inconsideration overall, won't be going back.
