We received two shrimp and two steak tacos. We told the server about the mistake. She appeared to be confused and brought out the ticket with the one steak crossed out. The manager came out with the ticket again and we explained the confusion and he appeared perturbed that we challenged the ticket. I tried to just ask for the steak to be replaced with the shrimp taco. After all it was a small taco ($3.99) He was not happy and got very defensive when I suggested just fix the order. Awesome area at Revolution Mill. Solo Taco shares a space with Cugino Forno Pizza and owned by the same people. You also have Incendiary Brewing next door. The tacos are absolutely amazing. They start with house made corn tortillas and you have choices from Al Pastor, chicken, steak, shrimp and a vegetarian. Many fresh toppings come with. They have a sharable tray of chips that comes with salsa, queso and guac that I highly recommend. Grab some beer from Incendiary, tacos or pizza and after get you a scrumptious gelato! Friday nights there's live music as well. The pizza place also has frozen take home pizza for 10.99. such a bargain and delicious. I'm so happy Greensboro has a new authentic Mexican taco spot. The menu is pretty simple. As you could probably tell by the name they only have tacos as entrees but do also have chips with queso, salsa, and guacamole. I tried 4 out of 5 of their tacos on the menu. Unsurprisingly the al pastor was by far my favorite. But the shrimp, chicken, and steak (in that order) were also great. All the meat and ingredients were well seasoned and tasted pretty fresh. The corn tortillas were fluffy and toasted to perfection. Each taco was overflowing with filling as well. There's limited iteration with the staff as you get a number and they bring the food out to you, but overall the service was pretty good and the food came out pretty quick. I wish they had more salsas in the taco station, but the marinara salsa was interesting. Tasted exactly how you'd expect, like a spicy marinara sauce. It was pretty good on the tacos. read more

This is such a great addition to revolution mill! It shares a space with cugino forno which I think is cool because you could easily order both if you're with a group who wants different things. Our tacos came out fast and tasted so fresh. I had the Al pastor taco and it did not disappoint. It was on a corn tortilla and they did not skimp on the toppings. The meat had a lot of flavor & it was the perfect amount of cilantro and onion. The grilled pineapple was also delicious. We also tried the chips and queso and I enjoyed those too. Loooove this place!! The seating is shared between multiple restaurants, but they still bring the food to your table. The atmosphere was very lively and festive. The service was so great! Great description of the menu items and recommendations. The dips were delicious. Queso is normally my least favorite sauce, but WOWW this queso was amazing! Welcome Solo Taco to the heart of Revolution Mill! Boy did they deliver, and they've been open for only one week. The menu so far is small, but man does it pack a punch. 5 different taco styles and chips with different dips. Fresh, flavorful and full of great vibes here. Can't beat the location. It shares a patio with Incendiary Brewery right next door, and they have an extension of Cugino Forno right in the main restaurant portion. So now you have amazing tacos, fresh Neapolitan style pizza, a brewery with amazing drinks, a cocktail lounge (Grapes and Grains) and flavorful steak (Kau) all within a stone's throw. The tacos are the bomb! I tried 4 different ones (shrimp, steak, chicken and pork). Each one has the freshest meat that is tender and juicy, with authentic flavors, spices and sauces draped all over them. One was better than the other. And the chips are fresh and come out hot. Love this newer spot at Revolution Mill. It's super casual and super quick but is flavorful and authentic. The service was wonderful and one of the guys working even offered to carry all of our trays out for us. Place is overpriced. Tacos are $4 each. Salsa is extra even when you tip them at the front counter 20%. Flavor was good, but it's tacos you can't really mess up a taco. So I'm giving them 3 stars bc the food was actually pretty decent but bring your pocket book bc you're gonna spend $50-$60 on street food if you're on a date, which I was. Interior seemed extremely clean. But I'm not letting someone try to charge me $3.50 for salsa when I paid for guacamole, chips and 4 tacos and a beer and gave you a 20% tip. Told manager and he looked at me like I had 6 heads. Every Mexican place I've ever been to in my life has given us free salsa, guess this place isn't ran by the appropriate culture. We went to this restaurant because we're fans of its parent company Cugina Forno. We foolishly assumed it was a short walk from that side of the complex, but we were wrong. After wandering around a while we finally found it. The restaurant space is clean and well laid out. There's a pizza side and a taco side, which will be nice when dining with a crowd who can't make up their minds. They also have some great-looking desserts and gelato. The taco choices are very limited but that's ok with me, as I have trouble deciding when given too many choices. I got the shrimp taco and a steak taco. Hands down the shrimp was the better of the two. It was excellent! Messy, but that's ok. Chips and salsa cost extra-this isn't a table service kind of place although they do bring your food to you after you order at the counter. In all I'd say it's a good place to get a good street taco. One thing that I have to say here is that the staff were in no way friendly. LI distinctly felt like we were bothering them by ordering food. (I've felt the same at Cugino Forno). They're very authentic handmade tortillas and if you're a fan of Al Pastor, there is the spit with the pineapple and pork cooking so you can see it is very authentic. It's quick and simple food that is perfectly done and great for a lazy Saturday afternoon while also enjoying the other establishments in the Revolutionary Mill area. Service was fast, quick and efficient. Tables and other areas were nice and clean as were the restrooms. We had the trio dip sampler which consisted of guacamole, queso, and salsa along with nice freshly warm, tortilla. The toppings added some freshness, but nothing stood out. I wish I had asked for more of the guacamole salsa because that added some flavor to the second taco. She got one steak and one shrimp, she was very satisfied w her food. I also got rosé and she got a coke. The place is very spacious, since it's a shared space with the cugiorno pizza place. This is a solid little small bite option in Revolution Mill. We ordered an array of tacos and chips/salsa/queso while visiting Incendiary on a Saturday afternoon. We walked over and ordered but my favorite part is that they bring your tacos to you in the brewery. So no need to wait or go back to the taco shop to retrieve your order. The tacos were good too, lots of flavor packed into a few small bites which is all we were looking for while having a drink. The queso was probably my favorite bite - so flavorful. The salsa was also refreshing with the tacos. The only feedback I have is that cheese on a shrimp taco is a little weird - we left that off. Service was superb. The tacos were really good. I got 3 different kinds. My favorite was actually the mushroom taco (veggie). Second was the shrimp taco and coming in really close was the steak taco. I loved the open feel of the restaurant and the outdoor seating. It shares the space with the pizza restaurant Cugino Forno. The next time, I think I'm getting both. The food came out fast which is always a plus! I mostly love the space, it's a huge space like their previous location at Revolution Mill and it has a shared courtyard area with amazing outdoor seating that is super nice and family friendly. I love how you can grab a drink from incendiary brewing and grab tacos or pizza all in one area. Definitely will come back! They also have a topping bar inside to allow you to customize. Also, the chip trio makes a great shareable item for 2-4 people to eat with their tacos. Again, I'll make another claim, while not the chunky type typically made table side, the guacamole is some of the best in the city. We met friend there on a Friday night, sat outside where the music was, had delicious drinks from Incendiary Brewing and just enjoyed a delightful evening. They were all the mushroom ones and it was pretty good I did wish it had cheese and maybe some other things on it but the flavor was there. The star of the show was the tortilla for sure. moving here from texas, we were excited to welcome this restaurant concept to greensboro. upon arrival, the aesthetic was quite pleasing. that is where the pleasant experience ended. the restaurant staff was less than welcoming - nobody looked like they were happy to be working. as we explored the restaurant, we noticed a salsa bar. from the looks of it, we should have felt warned about the quality of the food. although the food was served quickly, on a scale of 1-10, 2 would be generous. the trio of guacamole, queso and salsa was absolutely disgusting. there was nothing homemade about it- it tasted like every other sub-par mexican restaurant in town. our tacos were served at the same time as the chips and dips. the steak tacos and pork tacos were equally disappointing. little meat in comparison to the rest of the toppings. absolutely would not recommend, nor will we be back. worst $40 we've spent for lunch - and that did not include alcohol. read more
