If I ate out more often for lunch in Greensboro, this place would be on heavy rotation. It's delicious, the lunch portions are plentiful, and their staff is beyond great. We brought a whole group to Kiosco for lunch, and had called ahead to have patio seating. I love that there's indoor and patio seating, so there's something for everyone. Even with our large group size, the service was prompt and continuous. The patio seating had nice metal tables, and umbrellas for the tables to shade the sun. There happened to be a nice breeze that day also, so the outdoor seating was perfect for our group. For lunch, I had the burrito gordo, and gordo it was. I don't think I've seen a larger burrito from a sit-down restaurant. All of the fillings of the burrito were cooked very well, and the seasonings were on point. I don't know why I tried to eat all of it in one sitting, but I did and surprisingly didn't live to regret it. This place is great for parties of 1, 10, or more. Stopped in for dinner friday night after not coming here for many years and i was blown away. I ordered the ranchera quesadilla and it was so good I almost ordered one to go! It has steak chicken shrimp and chorizo packed into a grilled quesadilla. The portion is huge and definitely a bang for your buck. We sat on the patio which was such a nice vibe after a long work week and its covered so you're not beat by the sun. Our service was top notch and the food came out so fast i had only had 2 sips of my tasty frozen marg! Loved the restaurant location and the patio was a wonderful spot for a weeknight date night. The service was also super nice! The fajitas were ok, but the meat did not come out hot at all, and you could tell it had been precooked and sitting for a while (normally when you order fajitas they come out piping hot, so we were disappointed). The tortillas are also not homemade and everything was kind of bland. We want to come back and give them another try and maybe order something different. The restaurant has a casual but slightly upscale vibe with comfortable booths and a nice outdoor seating area. Our server was nice and brought us warm chips and salsa. The chips are light and crispy, and the salsa is flavorful with a hint of heat. For my meal I went with the Burrito Gordo. Everything came out within minutes and I was surprised by the size of this burrito. The burrito was stuffed with delicious Mexican sausage, beef, beans and cheese. It was so good but I could not finish it all and took the rest in a to go box. I was satisfied with the service because of how quick we were sat, ordered and received our food since I was conscious about getting back to work after my lunch hour. It's been a while since I visited this Mexican restaurant, but stoped in with a friend for lunch recently, and got a reminder of how good it is! We were quickly seated when we arrived, and the waiter was quick to bring drinks. They truly were lunch menu was a bit limited, I was surprised they didn't have more standard items like lunch ACP, but I was able to find some good items and went with the Burrito Gordo. I was blown away by the size of this monster when it came out, and after stuffing my self with their tasty chips and salsa, I only had enough appetite for half of this thing. It was absolutely delicious, and full of flavor. I took the other half to go, and enjoyed it for lunch the next day. Service was great, attentive, keeping our drinks full. Food came out quick, and their lunch menu is a great value. Like I mentioned I wish it had a few more standard lunch options. We love coming here! It is conveniently located near where we live, so that is plus! Besides location, the restaurant itself is amazing. The food is good everytime. This last visit, we had a very nice waiter who was attentive. I love their outdoor patio area as well. I do feel like it used to be more colorful inside, but that didn't take away from the quality of the food. It's been many years since my original Kiosco review, and though I still agree with a lot of it and am keeping the same overall score, I am just slightly less enthusiastic about it as I have been in the past. In general, the Mexican food game has stepped up big time all over the Triad, elevating my tastes for this particular cuisine, and in this regard I think Kiosco is only average. My most recent meal was nothing I would rave about, or rail against, it was just sustenance that was good enough for the moment. Prices have gone up everywhere, but comparing this to other places which are priced similarly, I didn't like what I had as much. But, this is still one of the places I would recommend for bringing a group. The service is still reliably fantastic. They have a big restaurant, and many places to seat a party of 8 or more. They also still have one of the best outdoor eating areas in Greensboro, even more so when the vegetation is filled in and provides a good amount of shade. Overall, very convenient place to meet a crowd for a meal, but I personally would choose other spots for my regular go-to's. read more

Kiosco is definitely a 5-star for me! Their level of service, speed, and the taste of the food all qualify for that high rating. I've tried many things there and have visited so many times over the years, that I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place until now! I am always greeted immediately, the speed of service and food delivery is unmatched. I've been here at their busiest times and with a large table and their service never falters. Everything I've had here is stellar. I love the pollo sinaloense because of all of the vegetables (see my photo for all of the brightness), and their tacos al pastor. So yummy! This place is huge with ample amounts of seating. My favorite place to sit is on their outdoor patio when it's nice outside. After a second round of margaritas and a second bowl of chips we had the nerve to order dinner! My go to is always the chicken fajitas and they were delicious. My friend had the empanada combo, one stuffed with spinach, one with vegetables with a side of black beans and rice. My friends took me out to dinner for my birthday and this was the perfect spot! We all got jumbo margaritas in different flavors and they all were so good! We also ordered a cheese dip and guacamole dip and ate both before our food came so you know it was good! I couldn't decide what to get so I just ended up with the ACP. The waiter asked if I wanted onions and I said sure, but in hindsight I may not have because it was a lot of onions. The chicken was grilled nicely and the cheese dip and rice were really good too. When my friends told them it was my birthday, they brought me a shot of tequila and didn't sing! For the introvert in me who hates when people sing happy birthday, this was perfect. I have to start by saying the service here is great. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. You get your food so fast! It is perfect for a lunch hour visit, as you will always be in and out in time. I recently came here and ate on their beautiful patio. It has a half open/closed wrought iron coverage with some trees and outdoor décor. Their patio is also quite large so it can accommodate a lot of patrons. There is a resident squirrel (they call Sofia) who will take a tortilla chip from you, run up a tree, and eat it-so so cute! Now, I must also say (in my opinion) the food isn't as good as some other similar Mexican options in the area as far as taste. It's fine and works, but just kind of bland tasting comparatively. However, their menu is quite extensive, and I like that they have a lunch and dinner price for most of their options, opposed to a set small only lunch menu. Out tables orders were as follows: Lunch Texas fajitas (A combination of chicken, steak, and shrimp with grilled onion, green peppers, and tomatoes). I selected black beans and salad, but no rice as I wasn't eating carbs at the time. I do appreciate how they will substitute and accommodate. But as I said little on bland side. Lunch Taco salad (Your choice of grilled chicken or beef with grilled vegetables onion green bell peppers and tomatoes topped with lettuce sour creams and shredded cheese). Felt this was a bit lacking, mostly filled with filler ingredients like the toppings so wasn't that hearty. Lunch Especial de la Casa (Grilled chicken strips topped with grilled red and yellow bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, red onions and zucchini. topped with cheese dip and ranchero sauce. served with rice and beans). This was picked because of the desire for the cheese dip inclusion with some vegetables, the amount of cheese dip was a little disappointing as couldn't taste it much. Lunch Especial Texan (One tortilla stuffed with a combination of grilled beef, shrimp and chicken. cooked with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes and topped with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. served with rice and beans.) Nice size, but again not super flavorful despite all the ingredients. The service is always great and never a long wait for a table, if there even is one, which is surprising considering how busy they usually are. On our recent venture, we started with some queso and guacamole of course, both pretty good. I chose a make your own combo and went with a beef burrito and chicken quesadilla, both served piping hot and fresh with a side of rice. The food is nothing flashy, but is always just one of those consistent, tasty spots. Fairly priced for drinks as well with multiple beers on tap and flavored margaritas. We happened to visit on my girlfriends birthday and they even brought a shot of tequila for her without singing (which I know some people prefer, myself included) to avoid interrupting any other guests. We stumbled upon this restaurant as we were driving from Raleigh Durham airport to Greensboro at 7:30 at night. There were 9 of us in our party - all first time visitors in town for a wedding - and we were famished. Initially, we were heading to the Subway next door but this restaurant caught our eye, so we decided to try it out. Best decision of the night! We were very pleased with the service and the food here is delicious! Juanita C. was our server and made sure our bowls of fresh chips and salsa were always filled - which this hangry group really appreciated! She also made sure to keep our water glasses filled. I had lunch here yesterday with a couple of friends. Although I've been here several times before yesterday, it's probably been five or six years. We arrived after the lunch rush so we were seated quickly. Both of my lunch buddies have disabilities and they were considerate to seat us at a table whose location would best accommodate them. Just as I remembered, the food was excellent as was the service. I had the lunch chimichanga with rice. I don't recall every thing that was served at our table, but my friends enjoyed their meals as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
