The new furnace and A/C was installed by SolReliable on May 26, 2018. I received their information via yelp. I contacted Solreliable via email and the direct sales manager Allen Ladd responded immediately. He scheduled a free estimate the next day for me. His assessment of what I needed and recommended were similar to other estimates I received but it was his professionalism and knowledge that were the deciding factors in choosing a contractor. The installation was a 2 day process . The installers/electricians, The installers were also very knowledgeable, they were thorough, and also cleaned up after themselves. They also wore booties inside your home (since the wifey requires no shoes). They also do other energy efficient products which I'm truly excited about because we need a new roof. I previously left a great review for this company after they installed solar panels, heater, insulation, central air/heat, and kitchen remodel. Now, I have something to add. I signed off this project in January 2017, but had to call in September because I noticed some kitchen outlets were not working. I was nervous about getting the runaround after so much time had passed. To my pleasant surprise, Michael said, "No problem. I"ll schedule the electrician to come out right away." My dad's home was in dire need of roofing repairs when Sol Reliable came to the rescue! My dad had applied at numerous banks for a personal loan to cover repair expenses and was turned down. I was a bit skeptical about Sol Reliable at first but I did my research and saw the awesome reviews the company has on Yelp. We decided to go for it! Danny Laveaga was our project manager and a true blessing! He answered all of our questions, walked us through all of the paperwork process, which was surprisingly easy and he was just so easy to work with. Once the paperwork was sent in (electronically) we had contractors come by to take measurements. They got started with the roof right away! I was shocked at how fast the install was coming along. We had a slight set back though. We have an AC unit on our roof that apparently was installed incorrectly. Danny informed us the unit was missing a special part and since it was an older unit, it had to be special ordered. I was pleasantly surprised when Danny called to tell me not to worry about the special order, he had already taken care of it! I just couldn't believe he went out of his way to ensure the process kept rolling smoothly. Now Thats what I call customer service! Did I mention we also had artificial turf installed?!? I really wanted to like this company but unfortunately all I ever got from them was the run around. I would have given them a 1 star review but since they always followed up regardless of the fact that they never followed through it seems that they deserve some credit. I first contacted SolReliable a few months ago to get a quote on replacing our entire house and garage roof. When their rep came out (Jacob, whom has since left the company), he came ill-prepared to take measurements of the roof (no ladder etc, he had to borrow one from the other roofer that had come out to give us a quote). On top of that he proceeded to give us a 45 min audio visual demo on how great the company was and try to sell us on other services. When we said we were interested in getting a quote for a tankless water heater install he said he would get us some numbers for both. No numbers were ever received! We followed up with the company and they sent out somebody else (Jacobs supervisor). He came out and said he had taken the needed measurements from the air (google satellite) and didn't need to take any additional measurements and that he just wanted to meet us in person. At that time we were interested in a standing seam metal roof and despite him not having any examples of any previous installs he said the company had done many and that he would provide with a quote. Sure enough no quote ever arrived! A month or so later their accounts rep followed up and asked us how our remodel was going and if they could be of any assistance. I laughed and mentioned the previous experience and he said he would have the owner himself come out. Like clock work the co-owner (Nir) came our along with the company's project manager (Ismael), both nice guys. They said they would get us numbers this time for the roof and that they could provide other services as well, which we were open to provided the price was right. Ismael came prepared with a ladder and took his measurements. We discussed the tankless heater install, electrical rewire of the entire house and new windows. We have been looking into Solar for the past 2 years and have accumulated numerous estimates from various contractors in the Los Angeles area. With a total of 4 proposals and many companies still calling on a weekly basis offering the "best deal" possible, our decision was not easy to say the least. Within 48 hours, they emailed us a detailed proposal that provided us with a very clear understanding of what we are actually paying for. It's been two years and still trying to get them to complete a job. The sales folks were very nice and install for the solar panels was smooth and simple. Waited nearly two years for a Tesla battery and the individual owning that process has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Barely responds. Incredibly rude. When they do reply they ignore all the info they were given on the last correspondence. Attached is an image of the "patch job" they did on my wall. This is after I was told it was "completed". They added a Lot more to the side of my home than was ever agreed to and no explanation or heads up. Came home to find an entire side of my home covered in metal boxes and cables. They spread out all the "required items", no thought went into the aesthetics. To make room for their gear they moved my storage bins which we're against the side of my home, carelessly stacking them on top of one another and never put them back when they were done. Will take a few people to move them back now. They insisted my electrician come out to meet their crew so they could show him how to wire an ADU we have in the works, to which he agreed. Even after asking multiple times if they could just take a pic of the unit we could text him instead. My electrician was very kind and sat around for 3 hours. ultimately sol reliable blew us off. He was very attentive, understood our concerns, and some of them had even been addressed without our knowing. We were also informed that some of the difficulties we experienced, due to an employment change, were improperly communicated to us and he was genuinely apologetic and made us feel at ease. Most importantly, he helped us discover that we can get an additional amount back on rebates that we though we didn't qualify for since we had to redo our contract with the finance company. PLEASE READ! I feel as though people need to be informed about the scam this company is running. We had people come to our door and offer us a FREE solar heater. What they promised was $10,000 from DWP and $5,000 back on tax rebates. The sales rep was very friendly and believable. They tried to make us finance the project with ridiculous interest rates. It's been over a month and a half since the contract was signed and the work has been installed and finished. We still don't have hot water and to make matters worse there is no tax rebate. Meaning that we paid $5,000 dollars for a heater that is not working. I encourage people to come forward and leave your comments and warn other people about the misleading promises. Up front excellent planning, materials, design and installation to our hillside home. Could not be happier until this week. Sol Reliable also replaced our roof before the new solar system was installed. The home is now in escrow to be sold and the buyer's home inspection company has reported the roof was not put on correctly citing loose tar taping, incorrectly sealed flashing, incorrect edge flashing etc. a general report that the roof is "not tight" and "requires replacement". The buyers also said they have inspections from 3 different companies all saying the same thing, but when we asked to see all three reports, only one was produced purported to be from "their own home inspection guy" stating the roof needed to be completely replaced to the tune of $10k. This is the quote for a roof that has cost much less than half that in the two times we have had the roof replaced on 20 years. Something smells. To date Sol Reliable has been very good addressing concerns before and after the roof job/solar system install. Lets see what Sol Reliable's QA Manager says after inspecting the roof for the Inferred "inadequate" replacement. I don't see how the less than 2 year old roof can be bad though, but we will see. Two weeks later after further inspections by Sol Reliable, the original roofer, a 3rd party roofer and a current LA City Inspector (the guys who certifies roofs for a living) the following was discovered; The roof is showing appropriate condition for being 22 months old and is absolutely not in need of replacement. There are a couple little things that needed to be addressed which were completed this past weekend by So Reliable under their own warranty - no if and or buts. The bad part, the escrow fell out because even though the roof was certified as being solid after the minor service work was completed, the buyers backed out citing "their own home inspection guy" still says the roof needs $10k worth of repair. I know that's no fault of So Reliable at this point, but it did happen. We now question if the offer to buy was in earnest and genuine in the first place. Very happy of the response of Sol Reliable to follow up and take care of what little issues there were. For any company to have such great concern of a previously sold and installed system should tell you they stand behind their work even after the fact. At this point I wish Sol Reliable was in Colorado, I'd have them do our new home solar system here as well. read more

I reached out to Sol Reliable Early of 2015 to upgrade my home to a green energy efficient home. My electric bill was increasing yearly and my windows were single pane. After many meetings and discussions I decided to not only upgrade my windows and get solar on my roof but to do a full 480 sq ft addition. This addition would include extending my master bedroom, my daughter's bedroom, walk in closets, two bathrooms, roof, air conditioning, and a few other options. Partially the reason I chose to go with Sol Reliable was because of their more than fair price, their knowledge of the products, and their overall experience. I knew that when taking on the project there would be a lot of bumps in the road. However, your contractor could either address the problem, or completely skip past it and not care. Fortunately the owner Nir, and his sales manager Allen did care. They were attentive, and usually answered all request and demands in a timely manner. Not only did we add the additions above but we also green energy products such as solar, double pane windows, insulation, and a HVAC system that is extremely efficient without using as much energy which is beneficial to the environment and my electric bill. Although this was a challenge that I will remember forever, they hit the due date that we made for them and for the most part worked within my budget. We were contacted by SolReliable several months ago and we've got mixed feelings about our experience. The Good: Our home was examined thoroughly by SolReliable and in the process, we learned many things not only about our house, but what we could do to make it more efficient. The salesman (I won't name him) discussed our options in-depth and detailed plans were drawn up. We were impressed with what was presented to us and decided to move forward so we could take advantage of current rebates being offered. The Bad: For reasons I won't detail here, we changed our minds and decided to not move forward with the installation of solar panels as well as other upgrades. We contacted SolReliable, told them about our decision and requested our refundable $1,000 deposit check to be returned. Nir became involved and asked us to reconsider. When my better half asked Nir if we declined again later if would we get our check back, Nir promised the check would be promptly returned along with a thank you note. Well, we reconsidered and declined again. I contacted SolReliable, told them this wasn't the time for us to do this and asked if they would they kindly return the check. After a week and a half with no response, (they were VERY quick to respond when we wanted to move forward), I finally called and asked what was going on with our money. I was told something about a $300+ cost we owed for an appraisal. This was the first we'd heard about it. I made the point to the woman on the phone that I wanted to talk to Nir directly about this, but - nothing. Even though I own this house, my signature is on the contract, and considering the fact that I had been included on every email regarding this issue when we wanted to move forward, they emailed my girlfriend (not both of us) with some lame explanation as to why we were somehow responsible for this expense after we'd already told them (twice at this point) we were no longer interested. No call from Nir, no thank you note, no check, nothing. Considering the fact that tens of thousands of dollars are on the line and the immense value of a person's home, you'd think, SolReliable would return our money, keep our names on file and perhaps get back with us later as potential customers. If things had changed, I would have considered them to put panels up for us in the future, but now? No way. If I've got to chase these guys down for a thousand bucks that's rightfully mine, who knows what they're going to do if something major goes wrong during installation. Forget it. They lost a possible $63,000 because they wouldn't return $1,000 that wasn't even theirs. The bottom line is, they didn't treat us as well when they had our money as they did when they wanted our money. Addendum: It has come to my attention that they did, in fact, mail the check back to us - to an old address. We only just found out about it because of a chance meeting with the current tenant. Turns out the check was mailed within a day or two of my phone call demanding it. You'd think they would at least have sent it to the house they were about to remodel. read more

My home was built by my husband and after 26 years, it was looking run down. We live in the San Fernando Valley. I wrote this review after I began the legal process and my attorney had already reached out to him before I even posted this. He is well aware and has been in contact with my representative and before that any emails directed to me were replied to and I have all of them in my sent folder. This man is not smart in the least to lie about me not responding to emails when they are all in writing and date stamped. He is uncooperative with my attorney after we have presented multiple more than fair almost too fair of offers (true con artist dragging his feet) and I am now moving forward in the legal process. I have received 3 separate bids with real contractors in which all three have said the work is a completely botched horrible job and has to be gutted and redone. My worst fear but we are dealing with it by taking the necessary steps to make sure these guys take responsibility for the damage they've caused. He is very upset and has made it clear that he is upset after I have posted multiple reviews stating the truth on this site as well as on Better Business Bureau site which you can view as well and is trying to act as though he is "there for me " anytime to help . He is the one who denied the men assigned to my project to hire real contractors in the first place and is the catalyst to this entire disaster because of his pure greed . My experience with Solreliable has been horrendous. It all started with their canvasser who knocked our door and had us setup an appointment with the company. They were nice a friendly and we were in major need of home improvements so we went ahead and started the process. Their sales rep came by and was amazing and we were all about signing up. We ended up purchasing an HVAC split system, new ducting and insulation. After signing up we had some additional questions so we called into the office and asked if they sub-contracted out there work; they said no it's all installed in-house. Come to find out that was not the case and the installers didn't speak English whatsoever! So many issues began to arise and it was a mess. The AC ducting was all over the place, the furnace was not installed properly and it took several times to pass final inspection. We signed up in July with intense heat and the new AC was worse than our 25 year old unit! Our AC never stopped running and no one ever came by to fix it. Here we are in December and the units have not been fixed, the holes they put in our roof and ceiling have not been patched (lucky it hasn't rained), and our AC is still not right. They don't have their stuff in order and it's chaos. We later installed solar with a different company and their surveyor said our HVAC setup was so horribly installed they had to have a partner come out and reroute everything. Solreliable didn't even fix it after multiple requests! Sway away from this company folks and save yourself the headache. SolReliable gave us a large brand new picture window, put brand new synthetic underlayment under our existing tile roof and put our same tiles back saving us money on new tile. They did a outstanding job also on the flat roof sections that all the lines were really straight and impressed our picky neighbor who is also a roofer. They also repaired drywall from a previous leak and you can't even tell that there is a repair. I would happily recommend Ishmael and Stavros to anybody I come in contact with. Although I have not yet purchased a solar system for my house, I did get a hold of Allen through mutual friends. He was very eager, and very patient to assist me in all of the questions that I had. I'm still shopping around to see who has the best price, but out of the 3 other companies I've met with, Allen's price not only was the best for my budget, but he also had the most had the best quality panels.
