Guys were great! Came out, gave a competitive price estimate and did a wonderful job. 100% recommended!

The 240v nema plug burnt out and caught on fire in my garage. It appears the previous owner of the house didn't tighten the wires to the outlet. I had called Solutions Electric Services and a few others. They were the first to come out and provided the services needed. Chris was very informative in regards to what needed to be done and what the cause was for the fire. Both Chris and his fellow tech reinstalled the outlet to their standards and confirmed that the outlet and charger were working again. Very professional at what they do. I would recommend them to anyone in need for electrical work.

He completed everything in a timely and efficient manner without cutting corners. He was very respectful of my home, kept the workspace clean, and made sure to tidy up as much as possible before leaving. Although the original invoice didn't include the permit, I asked about it during the job and he was able to add it on the spot. He clearly explained the next steps, including how the inspection process would work (either in person or by video), which gave me peace of mind. It's been a few days now, and everything is working perfectly. The installation looks clean and professionally done. I truly appreciate his attention to detail, communication, and professionalism. He came back a week later to drop off the permit. I would absolutely recommend Christian to anyone needing electrical work.

We absolutely love our new lights!…read more The quality, brightness, and customization options exceeded our expectations. The house looks stunning, and we've had neighbors constantly stopping by to ask who installed them. The kids especially love when we turn on the music mode and watch the lights dance and change colors with the beat. It has become one of our favorite features and has brought a lot of fun to our home. Wes made the entire experience exceptional. He's knowledgeable, professional, incredibly personable, and has a great sense of humor. It was refreshing to work with someone who genuinely cares about delivering the best possible outcome rather than simply finishing the job. After getting to know him, we learned that he's a combat veteran. Supporting a veteran-owned business was important to us, but what impressed us even more was the pride he takes in his work. Wes strives for perfection, and it shows in every detail of the installation. If you're considering permanent lighting, do yourself a favor and call True Lights. Beautiful products, outstanding service, and an owner who truly stands behind his work. We highly recommend them. Unlike some of the other companies, we got quotes from these lights last 100,000 hours as opposed to the other ones that only last 50,000 so there's definitely more bang for your lightning buck lol Thank you Wes and TruLights!!!

I hired Able Electric to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for my EV. For about a year, I was able to…read morecharge at 48 amps without any issues. After that, charging began to stop 2-3 hours in, with error messages indicating the outlet was overheating and charging had been halted for safety reasons. To work around the issue, I reduced the charging speed to 32 amps, which worked for another three months. Eventually, the same overheating error started occurring again. To rule out problems with my vehicle or charger, I had both inspected at the dealership. They confirmed that the issue was with the outlet, exactly as the error messages indicated. Once I had that confirmation, I contacted Able Electric to address the problem with their installation. They refused to come out and inspect it unless I paid for a service visit. Instead of taking responsibility, they asked whether there had been any issues at the time of installation. When I said no, they responded that the problem could not be their fault since it was working when the technician left. Based on that logic, their warranty seems to last about 24 hours. Although it has been a year, this type of installation should last many years without problems. Their response suggests they do not stand behind the quality of their work at all. To further verify the issue, I had two separate electrical companies inspect the installation. Both technicians independently came to the same conclusion and were shocked by how poorly the job had been done. They found that the lowest-grade outlet, breaker, and wiring had been used--even though the installation was clearly intended for EV charging. This kind of setup creates a serious risk of overheating, fire, and electrical hazards for my home, my car, and my family. Stay clear of this company--there are plenty of legitimate, professional electrical companies in Las Vegas.

I'm really not in the habit of writing bad reviews. I have to say that if I don't have a good…read moreexperience somewhere I'll typically just not write the review at all. If you check my other reviews you'll notice there are hundreds of good reviews and only a sprinkle of bad ones. I feel that every business is entitled to a bad day or a random one off bad experience with a customer, and I'd rather use my yelp platform to help businesses and community succeed. With that said, here was my experience with Modern Electric, and I'll leave it to the clients to decide whether or not to choose them or go a different route. My regular electrician was out of town when an emergency came up at a property I rent out. I contacted Modern Electric about an electric line to a water heater that wasn't working. We noticed that it was actually burned a little and my handyman said that it looked like the circuit wasn't installed right from the beginning and was overloading. They said I would need a professional electrician because we would most likely need to run a new line to get it up to code etc. I will say that the man I spoke to responded quickly and was able to come out almost right away which was very nice, and the reason he is getting 2 stars instead of 1. He didn't inform me of any service fee, but I assumed there would be one anyway and with previous electricians I was prepared to spend between $75 and $100 just for the call itself and then whatever the cost to re-do whatever needed to be re-done. The person I spoke with and texted with did not give me a quote on the service call. In fact, no mention of payment was ever discussed prior to him going to the house. 5 minutes after he got there he texted me that we only needed a new water heater and just the little wire could possibly be replaced if I wanted, but I would need to have the water heater installed first (it's an electric water heater) and then he left. This didn't seem right but i took his word for it anyway and called my plumber. When my plumber got out there to inspect the area for a new heater, he said that we absolutely need a new line because the old one was very clearly on the wrong amps (or whatever it's called) and most likely would need a new line run from the main breaker in order for it to be up to code. He said he obviously can't install an electric water heater without proper electricity, so the line needed to be done first. This is essentially what my handyman said as well, and since Modern didn't seem to know what to do, or was unwilling to do it, I ended up calling another electrician to complete this work. After all this I was still willing to pay for the service call as I believe people should be paid for their time. I was the one who had to reach out to him to have him send me an invoice. He then told me it would be $160. I was STILL willing to pay this, but I thought I'd tell him my feedback instead of writing a bad review about it. I told him that $165 is a lot more than others charge and that he was actually wrong about what needed to happen. He responded with hostility and told me to never contact him again. Please see pictures of his response. Do I think he probably does a good job with simple things like ceiling fans or light fixtures? Sure. But if you have something a little more complex I would caution you to go somewhere else. I will also say here that his service call fee is $160 since it's listed no where online and he doesn't tell you up front how much it will be. He also told me to "keep the money, I don't need it." So he obviously doesn't need any new business and doesn't care to make a new or returning clients out of anyone because he's so very much booked and blessed. Best to go somewhere else where they do need the business, as they might take better care of you.
