I am compelled to post another review on Solutions HRI because the quality of the work that Anthony provides is excellent. In all my dealings with him he has been honest, thorough and takes pride in his work. I've worked with many contractors in the past (both commercial and residential) and I can't say enough about quality of the work that he and his staff produce . You may be considering a less expensive contractor, but I would tell you that in the end, whatever the marginal difference is in cost, you'll save yourself plenty of headache, time and money knowing that the job was done right the first time. Don't waste your time working with an unreliable or unscrupulous contractor. Anthony is honest and will not fail to deliver. He does not cut corners. He is fully licensed and maintains a clean worksite and finishes the job(s) on or ahead of schedule. I found Anthony using a Google search and reading his reviews on Yelp. I also relied on his website which showed his past projects at https://www.solutionshri.com/. The reviews turned out to be fairly accurate and I was glad that I chose him to be my contractor. It was refreshing to deal with a contractor who is a stand-up guy (his subcontractors said so as well which is always a good sign), provides good service (above and beyond) but also gets the job done. He and his workers did an excellent job installing flooring and painting in some rooms, redid a fireplace, and finished my garage. The work was stellar and he provided good guidance and suggestions along the way. I'm already looking to work on more projects with him. read more

Anthony at HRI Solutions was amazing to work with. He was professional, courteous, and hard-working. He was on-site every day with his crew. He finished my kitchen renovation right on schedule and the whole project was completed within 4 weeks. He kept within the quoted price for the project and consulted with me on any issues and changes throughout the project. He was flexible and great at trouble-shooting. Anthony is amazing. He came in to renovate our kitchen and got it down in two weeks. It was such a 180 of a design and now it's a dream kitchen for our starter home. Anthony was honest with the evaluation and quote and then along the process, only told us about issues that he would recommend we handle, and we trusted him. I recently worked on renovating our basement and I highly recommend Anthony at Solutions HRI. I read other positive reviews about Anthony, and I agree with everything that was mentioned: In summary, Anthony is a perfectionist who strives to get the job right the first time so that you don't worry about it later on. Our finished basement was pretty much in the ruins after taking in water from Ida and us waterproofing it afterwards: Building a French drain is a very messy, destructive affair for those who have never gone through it before. Renovating the whole basement was a very big project for us, and I contacted several contractors for their quotes. Other than the dollar amount quoted (which of course, is always an important consideration), I wanted to make sure that the contractor will do quality work. I have renovated the basement for my previous house, and I know firsthand saving some money on the front-end doesn't mean anything if you find faults with the work later on. My initial hesitation with Anthony was that he wasn't cheap: Amongst the quotes that I received, his quote was definitely on the higher end. What was very confusing in this process was that the range for the quotes was very wide. Some of the quotes seemed somewhat optimistic in terms of workload required, and there were some quotes that just made me scratch my head. However, after engaging in several conversations with Anthony and after receiving other, more reasonable quotes, I felt that Anthony would be the best choice for the job. And I was right. What I appreciated about Anthony was that he looked at the job as if it was his own house. There were many, many decision points that came about during the job. Anthony presented options and made recommendations. Having gone through them and now that the job has been mostly completed for the past few months, I think we made really excellent choices. As for his quote, after experiencing the quality of his work, I believe they are very reasonable. In my experience, a lot of the contractors just choose to take the easy way out: They don't like to deal with potential issues that come up. I understand it's much easier for the contractors to just cover up and make things look nice. The common theme for me in my previous experience had been that the job looks nice immediately after it's done, but I find faults with the job later on and regret the choice I made. With Anthony, he opened up the issues so I can make informed decisions even if that resulted in complicating the job for him. A friend once told me that a contractor is good if you can stand them at the end of the job. With Anthony, I am already thinking of next home improvement project. This seems to be the theme with Anthony: He tells me that a lot of his projects are from repeat customers (for different projects, of course). Anthony and his team recently redid a whole floor of my dad's house after it got flooded, and has been FANTASTIC! He has all the qualities anyone could want in a contractor: very organized, conscientious, experienced, responsive, proactive, trustworthy, honest, knowledgeable, thoughtful, compassionate, flexible, respectful, and affordable. Anthony did a beautiful job on everything: including removing linoleum flooring/carpet and refinishing and staining the wood floors underneath, removing wood paneling and wallpaper and painting the walls and ceiling, replacing light fixtures and outlets, installing doors and fixing the frame, replacing roof shingles where there was a leak, fixing a very water-damaged window ledge, and generally taking what was a hot mess of a house after 25 years of minimal upkeep + recent flood damage and making it look brand new. The other contractor we initially talked to immediately said that the wood floors couldn't be salvaged and had to be replaced. Anthony thought he could make it work, and he did - the floors look fantastic and you could never tell they had gone through what they've gone through (see pictures!). I couldn't be happier with the quality of work done. The budget was completely reasonable, and Anthony was 100% transparent in keeping track of and communicating costs. Also, Anthony is just a fantastic person to work with. Anthony had the key to the house while we were in a different state for most of this process, and I never once felt concerned about security. He is completely trustworthy. He was also a great communicator and made himself available - whenever I emailed or called he was very responsive and patient with updates and answering questions. He also went above and beyond to proactively make recommendations or bring up issues that I would not have thought of otherwise. Anthony had the expertise as well as the compassion to understand our situation and needs and help us tailor the renovations to meet those needs. For example, to look out for my elderly dad's safety, he took the initiative to make a custom handrail for the basement steps, replaced the smoke detectors with ones that had very long battery lives, and also offered to help us get an estimate on redoing the driveway which has a lot of uneven spots and is a tripping hazard. We left a lot of leeway to Anthony with selecting things like the front screen door, lights, and closet sliding doors and his judgment has been great. He has an understanding of what's good quality, what's worth spending money on (or not), and what would work with the house. For services outside of his scope, he has been able to make recommendations. Anthony was really accommodating, flexible, and helpful in ways beyond the scope of his contract, and just a complete pleasure to work with. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone for home renovations (especially wood flooring!) - you really can't find a better person for the job!!! If I could give Anthony Marino 10 stars I would. We hired him to replace some rotted beams in our basement, and were so impressed by his knowledge and capability that we immediately asked him to gut our kitchen. His work ethic is simply unmatched -- arriving at our home first thing in the morning and staying well into the night. His skill is right on point - he leaves no stone unturned and will not settle for okay. Every aspect of his work is not only done right, but it is clean and finished looking. He won't hesitate to tell you his opinion, and what he believes the job requires, but he also will not push you to do anything you don't have the preference or budget for. And speaking of budget, his prices are extremely fair -- even for a lay person it is easy to understand his pricing, as he breaks down every aspect of each job. Anthony has knocked down walls for us, gotten down and dirty with plumbing and electrical, but he has also done beautiful intricate mill work (kitchen window bench seating) that has impressed all who have seen it. But, after having worked with many contractors, the most amazing thing about Anthony is that HE is the person doing the work and at our house day in and day out. I was referred to Anthony by my plumber after my basement was flooded. Our water remediation folks had already ripped out two feet of drywall and insulation all over our basement and we needed someone to add back the insulation, drywall, repaint the whole thing (including ceiling), add baseboard. Plus we were selling the house so we hired Anthony to repaint other rooms, did other touchups and repairs. Throughout he was very honest and clear, helped us review our insurance estimates and explain to our insurance company what needed to get done (even spoke to insurance rep personally). We also had a tenant who had to live through a renovation, but he was very respectful and handled the whole renovation very smoothly and quickly and she had nothing but praise. The renovation came out very nicely, as our real estate agent attested to, and he did it at a very reasonable cost and in short time. He gave us advice on where we could cut costs, but did a quality job. We live in another state, so I really appreciated that he was direct and easy to work with.
