I usually go to another Soma location in Plano. I decided to try this Preston/Royal location. I had received an email that today is the last day for the VIP 40% off everything reward. I needed some more pajamas and absolutely LOVE the wide elastic waistband in the cool nights pj pants. I like the flexibility of buying separates for the tops and bottoms. The selection was good and I found what I was looking for in a couple different prints. There were a lot of people in the store and I saw someone at the register (Abigail per my receipt) and also the manager. A few minutes earlier there was an elderly woman with a walker asking someone for help. I think she was feeling faint and was looking for a place to sit down. The manager got Abigail to help her and she kindly helped her to a comfy chair in the front of the store. The manager was off to get a bra out of the back, I think for an exchange. I just wasn't very impressed with the manager. She was so "hands off" and not really contributing to helping people. Another customer ahead of me was curious if she still was a member to qualify for the 40% off. Abigail looked up her phone number and she was still in the system so she went off to shop! Then she called me forward as next in line. I told her she could go assist the woman sitting down but she said the register comes before assisting someone. I took the pj's off the hangers and she thanked me for doing that. She told me the full regular price and then after the 40% off, the total cost was much better! Overall a good experience but something about the manager's lack of assisting customers rubbed me the wrong way. read more

Love Soma and this location is super convenient. The ladies that work there were friendly and helpful on my recent visit (even though it was nearing time to close). I usually wait around for their end of the year sale. You can snag some really great deals! read more

Ran in to buy a strapless bra, but needed a fitting. A sales associate fitted me and went to get a strapless bra in my size. After patiently waiting 5 minutes I asked another sales associate if the woman helping me was around. Was told she would be right with me. Waited another 5 minutes, before asking another associate. She called out to the sales associate who was up front folding clothes. She looked surprised and said "oh! Sorry! I got side tracked." There were 3-5 sales associates, and only 1-2 customers in the store. None of the sales associates were helping people as far as I could see, so I don't understand why someone else couldn't assist me. I couldn't believe it. I walked out. I cannot speak highly enough about the assistant manager, Jordy! She is so helpful, kind and professional. I came in after a long day at work, and her bright spirit totally made my day. This is the best Soma I have been to - just based on the customer service alone. Thanks Jordy! read more

I have been going to this location for years to buy bras. They used to have seasoned, trained professionals on staff who knew about products and fit. The two obviously bored millennials, one of them dressed in some kind of Amish get-up were 'staffing' the place today. One slumped at the check-out counter and Amish girl shuffled around filling drawers and just kind of lobbing questions at me, pressuring me to try stuff on when I really wanted to look stuff over, first. When I asked her a question about pantie sizing and she came back with a crazy, stupid answer, I really felt the place -- but maybe not the products -- has taken a serious dive. I did buy bras and undies, but no thanks to the two schlubs tending the store. Come on, SOMA!!! read more

The employees at this place are excellent and the customer service is always way beyond what you'd get at a different store selling similar products. The ladies are always very kind to my son. They fit people into the perfect sizes and everyone looks better walking out of that place than walking in. read more

I can't give a great or terrible review just yet. Went in at 5pm on Thursday evening on my way to dinner. One lady working and helping someone in the dressing rooms. She never even knew I was there. I could have stolen everything in sight and no one would have known. What a waste of time. read more

I stopped by Soma for my first ever visit to the store chain. A very capable and friendly sales associate Brandy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was in a hurry and wanted to try a particular item I had read about. Brandy found my size, had me in a room for fitting and completed purchase in 15 minutes. She even tried to find sale units in my size. We do not have a Soma Intimate store close to home but I will find Soma stores in the future to patron. I was really disappointed with this place. This is the second time I've gone here. The first time I had bad service but decided to give it another chance. Today I was at least waited on, got a few thing, tried them on but never got anyone to help me with another size. As I left I got a "oh those didn't work out." "No they didn't work out and you didn't come check on me for another size, so I don't want to get dressed and come out to find my own size". Won't ever go back. Sales people too busy visiting with each other to help customers. read more

Worst customer service ever, every woman avoid Soma! Bought 3 items, $60 each. One was too big and they would not exchange it for another size even with the tags still on it! Sales person seemed to careless that I had recently bought nearly $200 in items, was a pretty loyal customer and wasn't even interested in looking me up in their system. She was just too busy talking with the other sales person in the store about their lunch plans! I will never shop here again, will no longer buy gifts for my mom & sister here either! Wonderful experience. I had a few ladies helping. They educated me on how to wear a bra the right way. I'm 36 and never knew some of this info. I love the bras. Bought a few. After having had weight loss surgery and losing 125 pounds...I was in dire need of a sizing. Being very shy, I walked in and was instantly greeted. I stated my issue and that I was embarrassed. The lady told me it was fine. Within 2 minutes she had me in the back, in a room, measured and trying on a new bra. I would have left with the bra, they just didn't have the size in the color I wanted. I had only wished I hadn't laid my finger open on one of the tags on the bras. read more

I went into the store today and a sweet young girl named Natalie helped me find everything I needed. I didn't know that you could be properly fitted and thought I had been purchasing the right size. She offered me a fitting, which I gladly accepted. After getting the right size it looks and feels so much better. She went into detail of everything that had been placed on sale for their semi-annual sale and took the time to help me make the right decisions for me. I got the best deals that I normally would have not even noticed. The quality of materials used by this company are stellar! I will definitely be returning to this store for all of my needs. It was busy when I went in and she still took the time to make me feel like a priority. Ask for Natalie if you go in and I promise she will take amazing care of you. read more

Went in today to try and buy a bra. The lady told me the store carried up to a size H and asked me what size I needed. She then INSISTED on putting me in a bra that had a bigger waist than I wear and a smaller cup (smaller by 3 sizes!!!). I told her that wasn't my size and that it wouldn't fit and she insisted that it would. It didn't. Shocker. She then walked away and never tried to help me again. She also never said anything as I left the store because she was too busy talking to her fellow employees about non-work topics...rude. Won't be going back here. read more
