This is a wonderfully managed neighborhood Soma. It has all the latest items and great selection of everything you expect from Soma. The bra fitting ladies are very helpful and expert at what they do. The store manager is constantly rovering around the store to help not just the customers but her subordinates too. I went to Soma to get fitted for a bra. My size changed and I can't seem to get it right myself so I felt I needed some expert help. I met Rhea today. She was such a tremendous help. She helped me figure out the correct size and what bras work best for my shape. I'm really happy! Rhea was very kind and knowledgeable and helped me realize why I was choosing the wrong sizes. I brought my 88 year old mom to Soma for some new bras. The team was super friendly and very helpful. Michelle patiently helped my mom find the right bra. She explained all the differences and narrowed down the selections. My mom was super happy with the fit and ended up purchasing a couple. I started thinking that maybe I should try one on. I have been buying from them for a few years now. The service is always good. I mainly buy their pj's/lounge wear. They are so comfortable to wear around my house and to bed. Mainly because they are so soft! The other day, I took my 92 yr old mom there. She wasn't really thrilled. She likes her Maidenform bras. She has lost a lot of weight. We were not longer sure of her size. Our sales gal, I am sorry, I forgot her name. Was so kind and helpful. She even got another gal in to help when trying to find the perfect bra. We were so impress that after trying on a few that my mom didn't care for. She grab a bra from the clearance section. It was the perfect bra for my mom. She brought 3 of them. It was fun hearing the sales ladies laughing with my mom in the dressing room. She & I will definitely be back. If you feel that this Soma may be too high in price. I give them one star because their products are so soft, I want to love them, but their customer service is sh*t. The first time I went the sales associate was clearing making things up as she went. She didn't know her products and I probably knew more about bras and sizing just from wearing bras, and I don't sell them for a living. That's not that big of a deal however, compared to the absolute rudeness of the associates when I came back a second time to exchange one of my prior purchases. Apparently Soma sales associates are "too cool for" or "better than" people who care about sustainability and RE-USE BAGS! They must not have realized I walked in the store with my sister because they made it very clear, right in front of my sister, that reusing bags was "trendy and they only do it whilst grocery shopping, but NEVER when they are "going out"". Honey... we're at a retail store, not going out for a fancy night on the town! I will be sure to do any future shopping online, or better yet, at a competitor. Had a great experience at this location thanks to Audra! I ordered some bras online that didn't quite fit and needed to exchange them. The stores closest to me are both closed (Torrance and Manhattan Beach) so I made the trek to Seal Beach although the most recent reviews weren't so great. Audra was helpful from the moment I stepped into the store. She gave me a contactless bra fitting and made some great suggestions for bras. I loved the bra she suggested and ended up taking it home! I purchased four bras online for store pick up. I received a reminder call that my order was ready and would be put back the next day. I went, picked up my order and left. A few days later I returned to the same store to exchange for another size, they didn't have my size. I went up with my order number, to make my return, they said, "Your order had been cancelled and you shouldn't have the merchandise." They withheld my merchandise, I left empty handed after spending $150. I asked, why didn't I receive a cancellation email? Why was my order supposedly cancelled? Where's your proof that it was cancelled? Her only response was, "I have no idea." As far as I'm concerned, they stole $150 from me. I would never recommend this location. read more

This place is absolutely awesome! Michelle and Nicole are fabulous. I cannot believe the personal attention that I get every time I walk into that store, and they know exactly who I am. They call me and let me know that there are sales coming up, along with the special one or two day sales. When I questioned my panty size on different styles, she said let's just look it up. They had all my previous purchases available to see exactly what size and styles that I had bought. I love the personal attention and welcoming attitude from every employee there. My husband normally goes with me, and he made a comment about you should have a chair here so the men can sit and wait while their wives try one things. They put a chair out there for him, and every time I go in there they get him a chair! And I end up getting everything I want! You can't ask for better service‼‼ read more

Okay, let's be clear that I don't buy 'intimates'. I'm a cheap girl so I buy whatever is on sale at my local discount store. I think $15 is pricey for a bra. I stopped by Soma today while I was wandering around this shopping center. The salesperson was really friendly and helpful - but not pushy at all. I decided to take the plunge and try on a bra. Something simple - no frills. The salesperson brought over a plain, nude colored bra with full cups (none of that half cup crap) that was regular $42. She let me know it was $10 off today. I thought to myself that I could easily get 3 Hanes Her Way bras for that price. The bra fit nicely. It was so fancy that it had 'SOMA' stitched on the side - I've never seen 'HANES' stitched on the side of my bras. The cheerful salesperson asked if she could join me in the fitting room and I unlocked the door and let her in. She adjusted and straightened the bra. I tried a flimsy tank top on top of it and there weren't any offending bra lines. I immediately took a liking to this bra. I also started getting attached to the tank top - it was soft and really comfortable. I had been looking for something to layer under my work shirts to give me a little extra warmth during the cooler months. I highly recommend giving Soma a try! read more

Came into the store today to shop for bras and I had a very disappointing experience. No greeting and no assistance. I stood in line just to get help with locating my size. The sales associate (Allison ) eventually helped me but she was rushed and impersonal. She indicated she could order what I needed online and I agreed. She went back to the register and proceeded to help the next customer instead of placing my order. I got a breast reduction surgery earlier this summer, and I needed to get measured to figure out my new size, and buy myself some new bras, which I wasn't too excited about. Bra shopping has never been a fun experience for me, more often than not I end up leaving the store in tears, so I was really anxious when I walked in the store. But the saleswoman (who told me her name, but I unfortunately forgot it!) was sooo nice and welcoming and incredibly helpful. I walked out with a huge smile on my face, and four new bras! So I came here totally on a whim because I saw a sign for bras sale in the window. It looks like an older version of Victoria'ss Secret but I thought id give it a shot. I was greeted by a woman, Kathy, who told me about the sale. I'm normally skeptical about bras that aren't from Target but she sized me and picked out a few to try. Honestly, I'm so glad I did! Even though Im on the smaller side, they were comfortable and still gave push up! Suprisingly, they also offer maxi dresses and really really comfortable loungewear even for my age. I ended up with 2 bras, a maxi and yoga pants for a great deal! Will definitely be back, and awesome customer service. read more

I have gone into this location numerous times planning on purchasing a lot of items each time. Every time I enter I'm never greeted while every other customer is. I even make eye contact and not even a smile. At first I thought it was a fluke and wanted to see if it was just an off day. Nope, for years I'll try to pop in to see if anything has changed and they have been the same. And it's always the same employees. I guess because I have tattoos and don't have the "typical" look of what they want their clientele to look like I never get serviced. So if you don't have that look they like then plan on being judged and not helped. read more

I came to Soma to see if I could find any bras that could comfortably fit me (Victoria Secret isn't cutting it anymore). I walked into this location and there were two women working (one older blonde and another younger with long curly brown hair) and neither of them greeted me and avoided eye contact. Granted, there were 2 couples in the store at the same time but immediately the customer service was not there. I started looking around and browsing the bras. Five minutes later, the blonde lady came up and told me they would be right with me. After I grabbed a couple of bras the brunette approached me and dismissively questioned what brought me in the store. I explained my situation with my current bras and also said that I was unsure if I was a C or D. She grabbed a few C and D bras (without measuring me) and took me to the stall. I tried on what was given and what I also had and waited for 10 minutes and finally the blonde came to check on me. I had the C on and she told me to try on the D and left. I waited another 7 minutes and the brunette checked on me with the D. She said that I was probably a DD (still not measuring me) and left to get a DD. 5 minutes later she returned with the DD for me to try on. I tried on the DD and waited (another 5 minutes) for someone to come around to check the size. The brunette came back and said it fitted me better and asked if there was anything else I wanted. I asked her if it was too much trouble to measure me. She dismissively said "of course not" and quickly measured me saying her measurements are saying I'm a C or D. Then asked if there was anything else I needed (still in her dismissive tone). I got my belongings and left the store because obviously this store does not want my business. Whoever owns this establishment needs to know that just because I am not an older woman does not mean I do not have money and do not want to invest in some good quality bras. These two ladies were obviously not interested in providing me customer service and should probably find another career that better suits their attitude. read more

We all know bras are way too expensive. The great thing about Soma is they have these sales several times a year where their bras are $20! But they are good ones, not the left over, trashy, can never find your size bras like Victorias Secret. Soma bras are super comfortable, always tastefully pretty and if you hit that sale, such a deal! Without the sale, they are like $40-something a bra which is still cheaper than VS and way better quality in my opinion. Go there! read more

First off, I love soma products. I am a passport member (I spend lots of money there.) I do a lot of shopping online. When we stopped for coffee, I was singing soma's praises. So I had to go in. 1. I was never greeted. 2. There were at least 3 employees. There were a couple of shoppers in there. I went straight to the clearance section, (is that why?) I still dropped over a hundred dollars. I hope they don't work on commissions, because the lady who FINALLY rang me up doesn't deserve it. I asked a question about what I was purchasing and was answered and she walked away. Very annoyed with the location. I ordered a bra online and it was the wrong cup size. Soma had shut down their location in Brea Mall, which had been closest to me. Next most convenient was their location in Seal Beach, as I work at the nearby university. Went walking in after a long hot afternoon in a building without air conditioning. Told the girl I needed a different cup size, the band was fine. No problem processing the transaction. I got home, looked in the bag, and she'd given me back the bra in the wrong size. I'm going to have to go out of my way again to go over there to make another exchange. Maybe I should have double checked myself, but doing an even exchange shouldn't be that hard, and it should be up to the clerk to make sure that she has put the right item in the bag. I liked the product I saw on the racks, but just the fact that I am this inconvenienced is making me not want to shop with them again. read more

Yaay Debbie- went to Soma today knowing that they offered bra size specialists. Debbie was so great! She made me feel so comfortable and knew exactly what I needed. I had a reduction surgery and honestly couldn't begin to guess what size I was. Debbie took charge and offered suggestions- even saying what type she preferred,,, and why,,, as we are similar age/ builds.
